Michael Cohen claimed he was not reimbursed by Donald Trump or his organization for hush money payments to porn actress Stormy Daniels in a 2018 letter to federal authorities, contradicting his recent grand jury testimony,
The bombshell document, exclusively obtained by DailyMail.com, could throw a wrench in the works of prosecutors pursuing criminal charges against Trump over the payments.
Cohen, Trump’s former lawyer and the star witness in the case over which Trump reportedly faces imminent arrest, claims that Trump got him to pay $130,000 to Daniels to keep her quiet about her alleged affair with the real estate mogul, just days before the 2016 presidential election.

Sounds to me like Cohen acted on his own initiative regarding this money then informed Trump what a disastrous decision he made. No wonder Trump wouldn't give him any kind of reimbursement. Cohen probably did it himself without Trump's approval. This just doesn't sound like something Trump would have thought up.

Oftentimes close lieutenants don't need orders to do the general's bidding. They just know, and do it, and there is no record of any approval while denial is the truth. Of course, it is likely candidate Trump said nothing about paying her off. Cohen was his lawyer of some length of time...he knew what needed to be done. As a lawyer he knew how to do it without the boss's involvement, especially with a Presidential campaign at hand.
Why do the rich pay little income tax? becasue they live off the largess of their businesses. Who owns Trump's plane? Hint: It's not Donald John Trump. And who flies in it like he owns it? As is said, the rich are different. They're not cashing paychecks.
It's not about convicting Trump, but indicting and trying him for some sordid nonsense as a run-up to the '24 primary season. Funny thing is that FPDT turned this on its ear and is benefiting in a number of ways. No matter which way the DA turns, indict and arrest, or not, he's headed to a butt-whipping. Lawfare is becoming Laffare.

Cohen has no clue what the truth is. But he told his lawyer, Costello, that he paid Stormy Daniels out of his own money, not 45's money, campaign $$$ nor spending $$$ nor petty cash $$$ nor any of 45's $$$. Costello told the Grand Jury the same thing. Alvin-Sharpton-Wannabe-Bragg's prime witness is Cohen. ASWB is up legal shites creek w/o a paddle.

No. 7, only an unethical lawyer would do what you are suggesting in your first paragraph. When a lawyer goes off on his own, he becomes liable for that action.

#1 The letter was written by Cohen's lawyer on behalf of Cohen to the FEC (Federal Elections Commission). Lawyers do not lie for their clients. So it's the same as if Cohen wrote the letter. If Cohen lied about anything in that letter then Cohen committed a felony.

The dumb sonofabitch DA in this case CANNOT indict a ham sammich, apparently!
In a grand jury, the accused has no chance to tell his side and yet....

Stormy was ordered to pay Trump $300,000, she admitted the so called affair never happened & her attorney went to jail! It appears Cohen was acting on his own. Cohen's attorney said he is a liar.

People like this give lawyers a bad name. One that most of them seem to deserve.
Here we have Cohen, a lying sack of dirt and Bragg a lawyers who wants to have his TDS carry him into the Governors office coming up with a plot to destroy a man that has been hit with so many plots in the last 6 years that they have become boring.

It sounds like the story that is emerging is that Cohen took it upon himself to pay Daniels out of his own funds, and when he sought reimbursement from Trump, Trump said "I ain't payin' that. I never told you to pay that." and refused to pay him back. Thus, hell's fury from a slighted fixer.

OK, This notion just crossed my mind - What if this was hush money to cover an affair COHEN had with Ms. Stormy?

They cannot prove that PJT and Stormy even had an affair. They cannot prove that PJT told Cohen to pay Stormy off. They cannot prove that the money Cohen used to pay Stormy came from Trump campaign funds or Trump himself. They cannot prove that, as PJT's tax records show, the money paid to Cohen was not actually for miscellaneous lawyer services. They cannot prove that a crime been committed. If a crime was actually committed, the statute of limitations has run out. This is merely what I think. Please let me know if I am wrong.
If it turns out that this Grand Jury decides to indict over nothing, this DA should be publically ridiculed, disbarred, impeached, and thrown out of office for malpractice as well as for wasting everyone’s time and money.

And Santimonious needs to consider his flippant remarks to the news about President Trump's side show with stormy and her lawyer ...who tried to extort money from a presidential candidate....seven years ago...the establishment is desperate to indict President Trump to stop him from running in 2024...the three "Rs"...Rove...Ryan..and Romney are barking up the wrong tree...if they think conservatives will desert President Trump...he stood with MAGA...and WE stand with President Trump...
