There is a concerted effort to destroy the very foundations of our constitutional republic. Public schools have been ground zero of this attack for decades, though it has been hidden from view from those not paying attention. But it is now out in full view, with the radical advancement of Critical Race Theory and the rewriting of American History.(Snip) As we just passed Religious Freedom Day, January 16th, which celebrates the Religious Freedom Statutes of 1786 signed by then Governor Thomas Jefferson, I want to take a moment to debunk a hoax created about Thomas Jefferson that began to get real traction toward the end of the last century.

Jefferson was not a Christian; he was a Diest who subscribed to Christian moral concepts. That’s the best was to describe his religious views, and if he were alive today he would be appalled at the lack of morality in the country.

One of the outstanding works by C.S.Lewis is a short book called "Mere Christianity". It explains in a straightforward and persuasive way, that belief in God is reasonable, and then that belief in Christ is also reasonable. Lewis does not go further to argue for or against particular denominations of Christianity (which, IMHO, is one of the book's strengths -- bearing simple witness to Jesus, while staying out of the conflicts between the different Christian Churches).

The attack from the left to destroy what America was founded on and it's founders has been ongoing for a good while now and now has an even greater concerted effort by those who want to destroy American values and instill socialist/Marxist values. Some of it's early destruction goes back to the cold war, but the globalist Marxist WEF along with enemies like China wants to undermine youth and generations to come.

Thank you for posting this. I remember reading about the Jefferson Bible as a teenager and being greatly disappointed in this hero of mine.

HOW can you separate God from man in Jesus?
The fact that Jefferson took out all of the supernatural and mystical parts tells me he wanted a secular version, not the the true complete version regarding the Blessed Savior Of The World.

#8, it isn’t necessary to subscribe to all of Jefferson’s beliefs in order to recognize his love for the American Ideal & his contributions toward accomplishing it. The same is true of many of our Founders and our great leaders throughout our history.
Excerpt from article ———
[Jefferson]
Financially contributed to societies to distribute the full Bible
Owned a number of complete Bibles that he personally used and regularly studied
Financially supported the printing of new editions of the whole Bible
Was a member of the Virginia Bible Society
Gave unedited Bibles to family members
Openly used the full Bible in educational institutions he helped start or direct, including Washington's public schools and the University of Virginia
Approved and attended church services in the U.S. Capitol Building
So what is the origin of the Jefferson Bible Hoax and the charge that Jefferson hated the Bible and therefore made his own?
Historian David Barton dug into the matter and found that those who have propagated this hoax, “have been almost universally… secular in their approach, and their introductions to the book have... misrepresented Jefferson's motivations and beliefs to conform to their own theological assumptions or agendas.”
Thomas Jefferson even said to Dr. Benjamin Rush, a dear friend and co-signer of the Declaration of Independence: "My views... [are] very different from that anti-Christian system imputed to me by those who know nothing of my opinions."
———
It’s doubtful there are few, if any, of Thomas Jefferson’s “critics” who could measure up spiritually to his desire, or to his deeds, to ensure this nation is governed by the precepts of the Holy Scriptures.
It takes only a cursory look at what is happening in our government & in America’s churches today to see that the perversion of the Bible and the agenda behind it holds more dangerous and detrimental effects for the country, & our 1st Amendment rights, than a mere difference of opinion about religious beliefs.

The point is, Jefferson believed in God, unlike the Atheist Party.
