Idaho murders suspect Bryan Kohberger waived extradition on Tuesday during a brief court hearing and is expected to be transported back to the college town where he is accused of murdering four college students in cold blood.
Kohberger, 28, denies the murders but is not fighting extradition. He says he is eager to get back to Idaho, where he can answer the charges formally.
The criminology PhD student was arrested at his parents' house in Pennsylvania on Friday. They were among those in court in Stroudsburg on Tuesday, but covered their faces with COVID masks, hats and hoods to evade the media.

Does this behavior show consciousness of guilt by the parents? One might conclude that Bryan Kohberger's unhinged outbursts in the Pennsylvania jail are not those of an innocent man. A successful insanity plea might keep the Idaho firing squad at bay. But let's not pretend this fellow didn't do it. He did, and he has got to go down. It's going to take more than Twelve Angry Men to get this murderer off.

Re #1, no. It shows that they do not want to be part of the media spectacle their son may have caused. The parents are not charged with anything and their son, under our justice system, is innocent until proven guilty.

They’d better support him or he’ll carve them up.

Re #2: In a court of law.
If I'm on a jury I must be able to act in a disinterested fashion and assume innocence until guilt is proven to my and fellow jurors' satisfaction as per the judge's instructions. I do not necessarily feel that way outside court. Apparently, the father drove from Washington state to Pennsylvania with his son. I cannot believe that both parents didn't know the essential facts before SWAT showed up. That said, they didn't do it, and I feel sorry for them. Guilt is not transferable. But knowledge of guilt is.

Hmm. It will be interesting to see the evidence.
I wonder if we don't have a "smart boy" who studied criminology to be able to set up a good enough case to make the "perfect crime" even if he was identified?

Re #5, that is what I berlieve he may have been trying to do. The Perfect Crime.
Re #1, it has already been reported that the parents thought he was coming home to PA foe Christmas. He asked his father to come out and make the driving trip with him At that point there was no suspect named or even hinted at.

(hit submit too soon)
A number of things came together. The young female service station attendant, said to have been bored, decided to view the station’s surveillance video. That would have given them a license plate number. They then traced the car to this guy. It would also have given them a home address in Pennsylvania. At some point he was picked up on surveillance as he headed for PA. Meanwhile they learned that DNA found at the crime scene matched his DNA. None of this was publicized until after his arrest.
Conjecture that the parents somehow “knew” their son was guilty is a bit of a reach. They have to live in their small town. Covering their faces for the extradition hearing there may have seemed prudent.
Trying to read the minds of others is tricky business...

If you want to stay with the too clever to be true murderer theory, his asking his Dad to come out to Idaho to drive home with him could have been more trickery on his part. If they were looking for him, they’d be looking for a car with just one occupant.
It obviously didn’t work.

Kohberger is a dead duck as far as proving guilt. Blood everywhere. I bet it is in his car and his apartment, like OJ.

Lovely family, dad looks like Elmer Fudd in that hat. Sociopath praised for his "calm demeanor" while in jail.

Do you think this guy LOVES his 15 minutes of fame?
He can change his doctoral thesis: Making friends with fellow prisoners. (wink, wink)

You are right #11...He does look Elmer Fudd hunting wabbits.
There is a clear photo of "Elmer" taken by a body-cam of a policeman that pulled them over
for speeding on the way from Idaho to PA.

A cerebral narcissist, he looks forward to holding court and displaying his vastly superior intellect and knowledge of criminology and the criminal justice system. Finally, women will pay attention to him and many will write him love letters and visit him in prison.

Chances are great that when Kohberger boards a U.S. Marshal’s aircraft to travel back to Idaho, it will be the last time that he ever sets foot in Pennslyvania.
