West Point Begins Its Erasure of Robert

How much has America changed? Well, consider moves being made at West Point. Over the summer, Washington’s Naming Commission — comprised of four civilians and as many retired military vets — came to final conclusions regarding seven different Department of Defense “assets.” In its report, the group recommended a renaming of sites honoring Confederate General Robert E. Lee, along with Generals P.G.T. Beauregard and William Hardee. And over the holidays, the United States Military Academy at West Point began the process of purging Lee from its hallowed halls. As relayed by the Daily News, Superintendent Lieutenant General Steve Gilland released a December 26th statement:

The service academies probably need to be restarted. But only after they restore their reverence for our nation, its founders, and the Americans who had distinguished themselves in heroic service ... just the kind of stuff that today's woke blokes have been tearing down ... just the kind of historical figure like Generals Lee, Beauregard, Hood, et al. The knuckleheads currently heading our Defense Department and military academies have disgraced our country and damnear destroyed our military's readiness, competence, and morale.

No wonder the US military cannot win a war. General Lee was regarded around the world as a brilliant military planner, stategist, tactician. Military academies in Europe and Asia studied him. Now West Point thinks they can learn nothing from him? Can you imagine the Chinese throwing out SunTsu and forbidding their generals to read "The Art of War?"

Old Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, and the rest of the Democrat establishment spent Friday commemorating what the Left would have us believe was a greater threat to “our democracy” than the Pearl Harbor attack or 9/11. In the face of this Big Lie that keeps getting bigger, it’s important to remember: There was actually no “insurrection.” There was no plan, no leader, no weapons, and no casualties except among those who entered the Capitol after the police opened the doors. President Trump, who was supposed to be the ringleader of the “insurrection,” told the demonstrators to proceed “peacefully,” and two years of relentless investigations

Three times since 2011, the magazine has been targeted by terrorist attacks for its wildly disrespectful portrayal of Mohammed and Islam. In 2015, two Islamist gunmen entered the magazine’s offices and opened fire, killing 12 and wounding 11 more. There were also bombings in 2011 and 2020, as well as several other controversies along the way, including the publication of a satirical cartoon of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğanin in 2020 that almost led to war between France and Turkey. But the magazine has a talent for getting under the skin of the crazies in Iran.

What do you say to people who ask, is it environmentally responsible to fly on private government jets when commercial options are available?” host Bret Baier asked. “Well, when we’re making a decision about what kind of aircraft to use, we weigh a lot of things. The EU just slapped Facebook parent company Meta with a nearly half-billion-dollar fine, but that’s the least of the company’s worries in Europe. Mark Zuckerberg’s data-hoovering social media colossus will have to write the EU a $413-million check for violating user privacy in EU member countries. For a company that made nearly $40 billion in 2021 alone, even a fine as large as that — which Meta will certainly contest — won’t force the company to change its ways. “More significantly,” reports France24, “European regulators dismissed the legal basis Meta had used to justify gathering users’ personal data for use in targeted advertising.” What does that mean when translated into English

How do you make apartheid sound good? Easy. Just call it the “historic status quo”. Under Muslim rule, the historic status quo by the invaders was to ban Jews from their own holiest site, the Temple Mount. When Jerusalem was liberated, there was a vocal insistence by the Muslims who had launched a war to destroy the Jewish State and by the “international community” that Jews continue to be barred from their own holy site in the name of the “historic status quo”. And if that sounds too unbelievable, here’s Ned Price, Biden’s State Department spokesman saying that Jews must continue to be banned.

Joe Biden’s press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre always manages to find new ways to embarrass herself. From the very beginning, she’s proven herself to be a lackluster spokesperson. As such, her first months as White House Press Secretary haven’t gone very well. She has managed to be even less prepared than Jen Psaki, awkwardly dodging questions and constantly having to refer to her notes. Things were getting so bad that they even brought Pentagon spokesman John Kirby over to babysit her.

The majestic structures of ancient Rome have survived for millennia — a testament to the ingenuity of Roman engineers, who perfected the use of concrete. But how did their construction materials help keep colossal buildings like the Pantheon (which has the world's largest unreinforced dome) and the Colosseum standing for more than 2,000 years? Roman concrete, in many cases, has proven to be longer-lasting than its modern equivalent, which can deteriorate within decades. Now, scientists behind a new study say they have uncovered the mystery ingredient that allowed the Romans to make their construction material so durable and build elaborate structures in challenging places such as docks, sewers and earthquake zones.
