Democrats claimed the Inflation Reduction Act would help ordinary Americans, but new analysis suggests people making less than $400,000 a year could end up paying $20 billion of the new tax revenue it brings in. President Joe Biden signed the act into law in August, injecting $473 billion of new spending on climate and healthcare, yet there are strong concerns it will do little to reduce inflation. In fact, middle class Americans will pay new taxes - directly contradicting Biden's promise to not raise penalties on people earning under $400,000.  Republicans continue to criticize the bill, claiming it will lead to taxes on ordinary Americans and do little to help reduce soaring costs.

Comments:

Like day follows night, no matter what Democrats promise they'll raise your taxes.

Tax and spend and lie. Dems being dems and too many Americans continuing to be fooled (I was going to say stupid but that is probably not politically correct).

In colorado they will start charging us 10 cents a plastic bag “fee” at the grocery store; there will be new state withholding for Family Leave; new law that stores can only sell free range eggs, (can’t imagine what that will do to egg prices). Free lunches in the schools for everyone! Not just low income. There is nothing our democrat legislature won’t do. The DEnver Mayor is crying because we have an influx of 2400 illegals shipped here by texas. He says we don’t have the resources the border towns do. What an idiot.

One of Regan's Supply-side economic observations comes into play here: When taxes go up, revenue to the US treasury goes down. He also demonstrated that when taxes are cut, revenue goes up. Government intervention in the marketplace very nearly always has negative consequences; however, those negative consequences are what the democrats desire, as it hastens the fall of capitalism and makes socialism even more attractive to the non-productive class.

Lame Duck was technically correct when he said not one penny was going to be taxed on those earning < 400 K. He's really going to tax more than one penny (ie. 1 %) on individuals. He's going fubar on taxation. He's also going to inflate America like a helium balloon. What a guy, that Lame Duck. He kept his word.

The situation in Buffalo, NY, continues to break down. Power has been out for days as thousands of people remain snowed in as a result of a so-called “bomb cyclone” that brought freezing temperatures and precipitation. Buffalo was hit especially hard compared to other regions in the Northeast due to the effect of bordering Lake Erie. Not everyone remains snowed in, though. Some have extricated themselves from their homes just in time to start looting. Videos of people ransacking businesses began to surface on Christmas Day. I’ve seen some suggest that this is acceptable because they are just stealing necessities. Yeah, well except they aren’t just stealing necessities,

In simple terms, “replacement theory” holds that welcoming immigration policies are part of a plan designed to undermine or “replace” the political power of conservatives in the U.S. Make no mistake: replacement theory is real — and the Democrat Party blatantly continues to embrace it at the southern border. Fox News host Tucker Carlson has in the past been all but burned at the stake by the rabid left for daring to discuss replacement theory on his program, including by Anti-Defamation League (ADL), which laughably describes itself as an “anti-hate” group, went after Carlson in early 2021: In the days following Tucker Carlson’s vitriolic, xenophobic commentary about demographic change

A recent report from the New York Post claims that Twitter’s top ranks are filled with ex-FBI agents and executives. Many of these employees were swept away by Elon Musk’s massive layoffs, but some feds are likely still on the payroll. The New York Post reports that many of Twitter’s top executive roles were staffed with ex-FBI agents, connecting the company even closer to the federal agency which is being criticized for allegedly leaning on Twitter before the 2020 elections. Over a dozen former federal officials reportedly joined the company in the years before Elon Musk purchased the website in October.

If the Federal government lied about their censorship, what other election initiatives are they lying about? Let’s look at their program created to gain access to local election data. Around 2011 DHS created their own intrusion detection system called the ALBERT Sensor. It’s part of the larger Einstein System that protects federal agencies from cyber risks. ALBERT is a “black box” server installed on a County’s network. It collects the traffic flowing on their election network and transmits this data to a nonprofit in NY. DHS selected this non-profit to monitor all the election data from across the United Sates.

It’s the smoking gun they’ve lusted for, and now they came into possession of these documents after a lengthy legal battle between Trump’s lawyers and House Democrats. The Supreme Court failed to intervene after multiple lower courts had ruled against the former president regarding keeping these files under seal. Amidst a wasteland of absolute trash coming out of Hollywood over the last several years, Taylor Sheridan’s “Yellowstone” has become a saving grace for television watchers everywhere. It’s gritty, it’s visually stunning, it’s fun, and most of all, it’s not woke. There aren’t any explicitly leftwing narratives being shoved down the audience’s throat when you watch “Yellowstone” or its equally well-done prequels, “1883” and “1923.” In fact, there’s a rather conservative bent at times throughout the franchise, though Sheridan is loathe to allow his work to be defined along political lines. For example, the latest season of “Yellowstone” has the Duttons converting a rabid environmentalist from her misguided secular religion.
