On December 19, 2022, the Biden White House released a statement briefing the public on a newly proposed rule by the Department of Energy which would require lightbulb manufacturers to comply with new “climate change” efficiency standards. In fact, the move was just the latest transgressions against the American citizenry:
"This is the 110th action to strengthen energy efficiency standards that the Administration has taken in 2022. These 110 actions span a range of household products—everything from air conditioners and furnaces, to clothes washers and dryers, to kitchen appliances and water heaters—as well as commercial and industrial equipment.

A year ago today, Joe and Jill Biden did a video call into NORAD to see where Santa is and to speak with kids before Christmas. One particular call remains the most memorable exchange from this historical event.
“I hope you have a wonderful Christmas,” Biden told the father of the children at the end of the call.
“I hope you guys have a wonderful Christmas as well,” he replied. “Merry Christmas and Let’s go, Brandon.”
“Let’s go, Brandon. I agree,” Biden said in response.
The video still makes me laugh. [Video] It still seems unlikely that Joe Biden’s handlers have kept him so safe that he didn’t know what “Let’s go, Brandon” meant.

UNITED STATES – Reports indicate that the Department of Justice (DOJ) is looking to expand the use of a current program to give early release to women who have been abused while incarcerated. [Tweet] Towards the end of November, Assistant Attorney General Lisa O. Monaco began to urge top officials at the Bureau of Prisons (BOP), a divisions of the DOJ, to create a list of inmates who have been assaulted by prison staff and who may qualify for the department’s underutilized Compassionate Release Program.
Data shows that abuse against women who are incarcerated has been happening for several decades, but this new push comes

Thanks to Libs of Tik Tok, we can all get glimpses of what passes for entertainment in the world of drag queens: strutting, writhing, and coyly obscene chit-chat as they crudely mock actual women. None of the performers whom Libs of TikTok highlights as they make exhibitionistic displays at schools, libraries, or “family friendly” events has any discernable talent—and that’s actually important. A significant part of leftism is to destroy aspirational beauty and is about getting us used to the brutalist ugliness of the world here and now.
The Judeo-Christian religions are aspirational. They urge us to a higher level of conduct because we have embraced a Being

Thomas Lifson and other observes have noticed the strange kid-glove treatment that accused crypto-fraudster Sam Bankman-Fried has been getting since his arrest in the Bahamas after reportedly misappropriating and losing billions in customer funds.
It was natural to note the huge campaign funding Bankman-Fried delivered, particularly to Democrats, at least $40 million, making him their second-largest donor.
But now another shoe seems to be dropping, based on this report from Bonchie at Red State here: Sam Bankman-Fried, the man at the center of the FTX scandal, is back on US soil after having been extradited from the Bahamas to face federal charges.

One of my favorite indicators of ignorance are the people who buy personalized license plates, or affix stickers, for their electric cars that say “Emission Free.” Even if you ignore the enormous environmental impacts associated with manufacturing an electric car (which are significantly higher than a gasoline-powered car), if you live in a state that generates a lot of its electricity from coal, you are essentially driving a coal-powered car.
The next most ignorant view is that at least you don’t have to buy expensive gasoline! People seem to forget that electricity isn’t free, from whatever source. It seems Europe is waking up to this:

This is an article to show your haughty, “know-it-all” brother-in-law who thinks our government is somehow squeaky clean. [Tweet] The “Twitter Files” have now officially had more sequels than Planet of the Apes and can be difficult to absorb. Thus, I don’t think they’re getting the attention they deserve.
For those of you not following the “Twitter Files” drops, let me catch you up on what I believe are some of the most important parts:
The FBI paid Twitter $3.5 million to censor conservatives.
The FBI pressured Twitter to give them information that would legally require warrants, though they did not have warrants.

I wrote about one actor with a little common sense earlier, Dean Cain. He isn’t afraid to state the simple truth that men are not girls.
Unfortunately, common sense and the courage to use it publicly seem a quality in short supply in Hollywood, which seems more dominated by liberals who go along with whatever the prevailing narrative is.
Instead, it’s more common to see liberal false narratives pushed, as was the case with what Bette Midler tweeted about Kyle Rittenhouse on Friday. [Tweet] Let’s start with: it’s not clear that is even Rittenhouse. But, that didn’t slow down Midler’s effort to attack.
So much of the liberal establishment is truly ignorant

First off, Merry Christmas. I know it’s not very Christmas-y to write out a list of leftist losers who’ve been so awful throughout 2022 that they could qualify as the worst. Then again, it is truly very Christmas-y to write out a list of people who’ve been, shall we say, “less than good.” Therefore, it is in that spirit I run this today, of all days.
There are a lot of leftist idiots in our country, with each seemingly seeking to out-crazy the other on a regular basis. How can you just pick five to represent all of them without acknowledging the many, many others who, for whatever reason,

Given the season, for me as a Christian, it is important not to focus too closely on all the negatives happening in the country, for which there is much. Instead, the focus should be more on uplifting stories, like how Helen Keller knew God, before she knew His name.
For those not familiar with her, she spent most of her life blind and deaf, but never let either stop her from living a remarkable life filled with an unshakable Christian faith in God.
Ann Sullivan, Helen Keller’s first teacher, was from the Perkins School for the Blind, and would be with her for many years as more than a teacher,

The terror group Al-Qaida has released a video which they claim is narrated by leader Ayman al-Zawahiri - believed to have been killed in a US raid earlier this year.
The recording was undated while the transcript did not clearly point towards a time frame for when the footage could have been created.
Zawahiri is thought to have been killed aged 71 in a US strike in Afghanistan during the biggest blow to the militant group since its founder Osama bin Laden was killed in 2011. Zawahiri was previously hiding for years, and the process of locating and killing him was the result of 'careful, patient and persistent' work

A court has ordered an airline to pay for therapy for a Brazilian plus-sized model who claimed she was stopped from boarding a flight 'because she was too big for her seat'.
Social media influencer Juliana Nehme, 38, claimed earlier this year that she was stopped from boarding a Qatar Airways flight because she was too large and accused the middle eastern airline of discriminating against her due to her size.
In a post to her 167,000 Instagram followers, Juliana said at the time: 'They are denying my right to travel... I'm desperate, help me, they don't want me to board because I'm fat.'
Now a court in Sao Paulo has ordered

The terrorist savage was "believed to have been killed" by a drone borne flying set of Ginsu blades that reportedly cut him into several equal-thickness body length strips (and messing up the way the brother talks, like Tony Rocky Horror). But was Dr. al-Z really well sliced? Could the bad doctor still in the network? Is he breathing? Or did his Kabul neighbors egg-dip, bread, and fry him? It's a mystery.
