The United States is down to 25 days of diesel supply as a top White House official declared the stockpile levels to be “unacceptably low.”
Data provided by the Energy Information Administration (EIA) show that diesel stockpiles are at their lowest level for October in records that date back to 1993, (snip)EIA data show that the United States, as of Oct. 14, has 25.4 days of supply—down from 34.2 days of supply four weeks prior.
National Economic Council Director Brian Deese, a top adviser to President Joe Biden, told Bloomberg News last week that current diesel levels are “unacceptably” low and that “all options are on the table” to increase supplies.

Another headfake by biden the cheater. Funny isnt it that there is plenty of lower-priced gas around to give the illusion all is ok to get folks to vote dim next month while diesel supply is tight. I always thought both came from the same barrel of crude oil.

Why focus on what we don’t have such as diesel fuel, honest elections, baby formula, lack of nuclear threat and a president and VP with integrity? Let’s focus on what we have
A. A President who states that it is both “immoral and illegal” to prevent children and teens from being permanently disfigured by gender reassignment surgery.
B. A President who wants to force doctors and Catholic hospitals to perform abortions.
C. A President who is aggressively conducting a war on fossil fuels and the energy sector
D. An Administration that actively promotes racial division and racial quotas
E. A President who refuses to enforce our immigration laws, laws he swore to uphold.
F. A federal debt that is 125% greater than GDP, and worsening.
Could go on, but the above are just a few of what Democrats are thankful for, so why aren’t normal people feeling the same?

Director Brian Deese - “unacceptably” low and that “all options are on the table”. Like opening up our own natural resources to find, gather and process? This is not rocket science. We have the product available, we need more updated refineries built, we need people in charge is are not f - ing idiots.

Never fear, Butt Pete is in control. It's your imagination. The supply chain is a-okay. Just as Butt. He's got it.

They did fix the port backlog in LA! Crash the economy far enough, and people stop importing things....

The only option not on the table is to increase the US production of oil and refinery capacity. Besides that, the other options on the table are to continue to beg Saidi Arabia, Venezuela, and Russia for oil.

So, this is about 1/3rd lower compared to the normal, historic diesel supply levels.
That's fairly bad, and Traitor Joe is dumping our emergency oil reserves. which is intended to cause more shortages in the future when we'll have NO reserves remaining.

A quick internet search shows that a 42 gal barrel of oil, when refined, produces approx 19-20 gal of gasoline, 10-12 gallons of ultra-low sulphur distillate fuel (diesel AND heating oil), so....in addition to diesel shortage we see the article down page about heating oil already being rationed in the NE and it's not even winter when usage doubles...or more...let alone the current price.
I live in mild central NC and my budget was 50 gal/week in peak heat season (only 8-10 weeks here), which was approx $800/mo for Jan and Feb last year, a little less than 190 gal each 4 week fill. If I had filled up one week later my Feb 26th fill up would have been $150 more.
Just replaced my 23 year old HVAC system early June, the A/C wasn't holding Freon (maybe $1000 to get me thru the summer), parts for residential A/C using Freon not available, so....beaucoup bucks later I have 2 high efficiency heat pump/AC units, and 2 high efficiency variable fan speed natural gas furnaces (2 zones/2 thermostats/2 units) for a dual fuel set up. Will know soon enough how much less my combined Elec and Gas bills will be compared to $800-1,000/mo for oil...and now the possibility for lack of supply? Can't imagine heating my home in New England.

We really may be in deep this winter. The ports problem did resolve…as shipping declined, not because of port management. Oil is tight, and being rationed in NH already (very possibly the result of years of namby decrees in the NE). Oil is tight elsewhere, threatening truck shipments. The transport system called the mississippi river is operating well below capacity, due to abnormally low water levels constraining shipments. But, all is good according to the admin. The DOT does not appear to be doing anything, DOE has yet to produce the first BBL of oil, iInterior continues to restrict natural gas wells…. Dept of ag screwed up baby food…pretty sorry state of affairs fir the US

Pete can nurse the supply chain back to health. He’s filming an infomercial for electric cars right now!! They’ll be some pain (for the little guy) but hey, he’s playing mommy and daddy!

Doubtful this is by accident, as diesel fuel has not really declined over the past 18 months, which is partly why inflation continues to "surprise" the WH economists.
Everything you purchase will be moved by a truck, which is using diesel.
The current fuel surcharge my company is charged by truckers is 36%.
So, if your truck rate is $1200 add 36% on top of that price for their fuel surcharge.
Plus, a barrel of oil will produce Diesel, Other Distillates, Jet Fuel, Other Products, Heavy Fuel Oil (residential), Liquified Petroleum Gases (LPG) and Gasoline, so each competes for refining capacity.

If the world stops because of the shortage, there will still be people with Teslas claiming 'We don't need no fossil fuel'.

All options are on the table except allowing increased drilling, oil exploration, and an increase in refining capacity in the U.S.
