House Republicans have for months threatened to impeach Joe Biden and equally disastrous members of his administration for their intentional attempts to destroy America if — which is now pretty much when — the GOP retakes control of the House in the midterms, now just two weeks away.
Apparently, those threats weren’t serious. At least not in Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy’s case. McCarthy last Wednesday downplayed talk of impeaching Biden or officials of the disastrous administration if the GOP regains control.
Just one problem. Republican lawmakers have introduced more than a dozen impeachment resolutions targeting Biden, Kamala Harris, and controversial Cabinet members, including Attorney General Merrick Garland, Secretary of State Antony Blinken,

That’s just Joe being Joe doesn’t cut it anymore.
The damage is intentional and has been since day one.
If you don’t see it and don’t react to it you are in on it.

I’m not for impeachment per se. I’m for a proper investigation of the Biden Crime Family. Turn up the heat so high that Sleepy Joe either resigns on his own accord or is forced to do so by his fellow Dems.

I swear, if the Republicans are given the chance to be in control of both houses and they tuck tail and run, do nothing to right the wrongs the Dems have forced on us, then they better start packing, The American people are dam* tired of being used and abused by both parties. McCarthy and McConnell both need to go and replaced by a backbone who will stand up for the people who voted for them. I am just disgusted with years of promises to make a difference only to watch them cower. TRUMP is the ONLY one who stands up and does what he says, and hopefully DeSantes won't disappoint, but I have become a skeptic..time will tell.

We've given the republicans power before and they always do the same thing...nothing. They pass no good legislation that advances freedom, they dont lower taxes or remove stifling regulations. All they really do is capitulate to democrats at every opportunity and accept bribes. Er, donations.
The only real difference between them is that the dems have a specific agenda that they push for. Republicans just hold things the way they are until the dems are back in power.
I am under no illusions that things will get any better even if they take both houses. We have been down this road too many times.

Republicans can walk and chew gum at the same time, hopefully. My advice would be to take on the smaller fish first and get some solid results under their belts while at the same time they are dismantling the democrat agenda as much as they can. Put sustained pressure on democrats and don’t let up. Let Joe stew in the knowledge that he may be next, but his boy is going down. Never allow revenge to be the driving force. It has to be about moving the country away from democrat failed policies and restoring justice. If they can accomplish that, it would be a massive step in the right direction. Make this about the country and the damage this administration has done to it.
We need men of wisdom and courage to lead us out of this mess. It won’t be accomplished by people who stood by and let it happen. McConnell and McCarthy simply do not have what it takes because they play the game that got us into this mess. We need men and women of integrity with an allegiance to the country and its people instead of an allegiance to their egos. If we are successful on November 8th and McConnell and McCarthy are the top dogs, nothing changes. We have to have leaders who understand just how close we were to losing everything because the lawless democrats ran roughshod over the Constitution. If Republicans do not unite in the promise of restoring justice but continue with business as usual, we lose even if we win.

Don't defame weenie milquetoasts. Call a traitor a traitor. Specifically, a Democrat 'infiltraitor'. This is how they work: They join up promising to be the best priest, teacher, party member, corporate officer ever, brown nosing everyone above them.
Their tune changes as they advance in their chosen fields filling the position they leave with people like themselves, until the priest is revealed a Judas, the teacher a radical indoctrinator, the loyal company man stabs his benefactor and robs him of his business, and the politician who still loudly declaims of his service, becomes a tyrant.
They are all kin to each other. They know not loyalty except to imitate it. They revel in their betrayals.
Sound like Cheney? McConnell?, now McCarthy. They see Biden and company as kin and hope to inherit the tyranny they wrought.

Impeachments of Biden, Garland, Mayorkas and others would be well deserved. They are without doubt lawless renegades. But convictions in the senate and removal from office would be arithmetically impossible, even with republican control and a better majority leader. 67 votes are needed to convict and remove, and no demoncrat would ever cross party lines to do the right thing.
So then, what political benefits would accrue from impeachment? How would it help to move the conservative agenda forward?

My life practice warns me that Resentments are a threat to my peace, however I find myself less circumspect to many thoughtful post here. Not only do I want impeachments of Garland, Wray, and other Biden appointees, I want a house cleaning at the FBI and DOJ, The “Laptop” and the Biden family graft brought to light, the Russiagate players exposed, punishment for Clapper, Comey, etal lying under oath, and Bleaching and destruction of Hillary’ emails and laptop. But don’t impeach Biden, let him wander aimlessly in his own tragic vomit for two more years.
However, my dream will vanish if McConnell and McCarthy remain in leadership and my Resentments left to fester.

McCarthy is right.
Talk of impeachment and revenge only rallies the base and scares independents. That's a losing strategy in close races.
McCarthy and the House should focus on thwarting/ reversing Biden's budgets and executive orders. They should hold hearings to expose the corrupt DOJ/ FBI, CIA,IRS, Jan 6 committee, etc. They should offer individual budgets required by law and end the continual resolution process. They will have limited success, but if they can get the truth to the public, they will succeed in 2024.
Revenge is best served cold. Winning is everything

Well beyond McCarthy’s loose lips, if the wimpy Republicans gain control of the Congress they should be able to neuter much of what Biden and the leftist, progressive, and socialist Democrats have been doing by holding the power of the purse, of course within the parameters set by the career DC “UniParty” politicians in Congress, especially McConnell and McCarthy and whoever turns out to be the future Democrat “leadership”. Remember history shows that the Republicans held back by their RINO element have just about always have been a passive political party. While the Democrats, who would not tolerate anything like a RINO element in their party, have been the historically aggressive political party in the Congress. So it will be interesting!
