I do like to follow up and keep you all on top of where things stand with some of the previous stories I've covered. Sometimes, it's true, there's not much to write about because whatever happened happened and then they lie there like a dead bug until they shrivel and go away of their own accord. In other cases, there can be happier resolutions, which is always cheerful news, but those are admittedly rare. Most wind up in the slow-rolling disaster column, and man - that does seem to be the case with the Biden administration's $1.6B push to electrify city transit fleets. ...E-buses have been purchased by transit agencies

And it's not just the taxpayer funding for the purchase of the now idle electric buses but add in the charging stations' cost, maintenance equipment and training. And new diesel buses must have been bought to replace the unuseable electric vehicles Follow the money. I'm sure a certain political party got some large kickbacks.

The counties asking for federal 'forgiveness' are just asking the sane portions of the country to pay for their stupidity/wokeness. I'm positively sure that I don't want too! Let these liberals live with their mistakes, as a lesson.

There's a lot of pith in this essay. One factoid got my attention ... ...This is with the Naples (NY) School District running only two electric school buses, both of which had initially paid for by federal grants, etc. 36 cents per mile for diesel and $3.18 per mile for electric That should about settle it. Electric transportation is on the way out. Makes no economic sense, and Miami, home to some durable Green fools, wants its money back. Ha ha ha

Tesla should never have been allowed to place a car on U.S. roads, due to the deadly nature of their batteries and fire departments inability to combat the wicked fires inherent in their design. Great technology, just prematurely birthed. Sadly, few in Congress are Engineers, Physicists, or even Chemists... and no, "Political Science" is not really a "science," it was just given that title to allow lazy-leftists to sound credible when selling their parents on another overly expensive semester of higher education.

At one point someone is quoted as saying the results were "deeply disappointing". How about catastrophically bad? One ENORMOUS issue with the Globull Warming crowd and their fake crisis, is that none of their "solutions" seem to work. Many of them are outright failures. Others are extremely expensive to the point of being unaffordable to implement. Others work to a point but can't accomplish the goals set for them. Don't last as long, don't save as much, don't generate as much power as expected, ... The zealousness of the Alarmists requires them to grasp at things that simply do NOT and CANNOT accomplish the goals they need to reach. And the Leftist government keeps throwing money at the "problem" and demanding we eliminate existing solutions before working alternatives are in place. There's a definite insanity to this.

These "buses" were just a SCAM. Things that looked like a bus, for over $1 million each....but wouldn't actually work more than a week or three, then crap out....no parts, no way to fix. A SCAM, and the scammers declared bankruptcy and took the cash away.

Two videos highlight the immorality of surrogacy 2 replies

The video about the two gay dads and their baby, who keeps saying “maa-maa-maa,” isn’t bad for the reason people say it is—namely, that the baby desperately wants mommy, not daddy—although it’s still bad. However, when it comes to all the moral wrongs of surrogate parenting, there’s actually an even more disturbing video out there. Two points, before getting to the gay dads and their “maa-maa-maa” baby, one factual and one anecdotal. The factual point is that “maa-maa-maa” is the first sound almost all babies make. That’s why so many cultures have that sound in their preferred word for what a child calls its mother. Whether spoken with an American, English, Spanish, Italian,

The Seventeenth Amendment was ratified in 1913, during the height of the Progressive Era. Reformers argued that state legislatures had become hopelessly deadlocked and corrupt. Between 1885 and 1912, legislatures deadlocked seventy-one times over Senate selections, leaving at least seventeen seats vacant for entire sessions or longer. States went unrepresented in Washington, while lawmakers wasted months on partisan warfare. Scandals amplified the outrage. In Montana, copper baron William A. Clark admitted to spending the equivalent of millions in today’s dollars to buy his seat; the Senate refused to seat him. In Illinois, Senator William Lorimer was expelled in 1912 after evidence showed that four state legislators

Amidst the ongoing conflict in Iran, a major political event took place in the United States on April 16, 2026, that deserves more attention and scrutiny than the mainstream media will likely devote to it. The event to which I refer to is the victory of Analilia Mejia in the New Jersey special election for congressional district 11. Mejia’s decisive win in the seat formerly held by New Jersey governor Mikie Sherrill should send political shockwaves because I think it is more than fair to say that she will likely be perhaps the most socialistic member of Congress. When asked if she would join “The Squad” shortly before the election,

It was quite a week. The Democrats decided they needed to get rid of a candidate in the crowded field for Governor of California, and the fall guy was Eric Swalwell. It turned out that the Democrats and their reporters had known all along that Swalwell was a sexual predator, but until now it wasn’t opportune to mention it. President Trump posted an AI-generated image of himself as Jesus, or maybe just as a doctor, healing someone. That prompted howls of outrage from the people who are always howling in outrage, and an extraordinary outpouring of memes showing Trump and others as Jesus, or just as healers. Speaking of Jesus,

In one of the most out-of-touch examples I’ve seen of Democrats in recent weeks, we’ve now got Philadelphia mayor Cherelle Parker yelling at her constituents over a new tax she wants on each and every ride-sharing journey: if enacted, all Uber and Lyft rides would have an additional dollar tacked on (to support the dying city education system), which in a substantial number of instances, wouldn’t be a miniscule tax. (The average cost of a rideshare in Philadelphia is somewhere between $16 and $24, or 6.25% and 4%, respectively.) Parker wonders “how dare” the citizens and voters question how much she wants to take out of their pockets for others’ expenses:

Mark Levin labeled the Democrat party the Party of Hate; others have described it as the Party of “Death to America.” A good case can be made for both descriptions. The statement that the Democrat party is the party of sexual perverts is not an ad hominem statement, nor meant as an insult. Rather, it is intended as an accurate description, easily verified. This moniker is something that Republicans should hammer home with the public (but probably won’t; to do so “wouldn’t be polite”). Coming from a research background, I often cite data — that is, lists of facts, without intervening flowery statements. While general accusations

These missions have been flawlessly executed by Hegseth’s department, so naturally the Democrats want to impeach him. The first articles of impeachment were filed in January by Michigan Congressman Shri Thanedar, but got little attention. A new, expanded set of articles was filed today. Trump made the comments to NewsNation’s Kellie Meyer, who called the president after he announced the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, declaring that the United States will retrieve enriched uranium from sites bombed in Operation Midnight Hammer last June. Trump said, “Yes,” when Meyer asked if Iran agreed to stop enriching uranium. “They agreed to everything,” he told her. Earlier this year, the U.S. Justice Department asked two Senate committees to provide transcripts and records of contacts with former CIA Director John Brennan regarding the now-discredited Russia collusion allegations, signaling there was an active investigation into whether the former spy boss had misled or obstructed Congress. The letters gave a hard deadline of Feb. 23 for compliance. Two months later, the body run by Republican Senate Majority Leader John Thune, R-S.D., has not complied, slowing a key angle of a grand jury investigation based in Fort Pierce, Fla., into whether Obama and Biden-era government officials engaged in a conspiracy —

Has there ever been an automobile feature as widely despised as the stop-start system that the Obama administration forced on the country? Unlikely. Which is why new federal action that kills the requirement is cause for celebration. The “feature,” which is the wrong word for what’s truly a nuisance, automatically shuts off a car’s internal-combustion engine when it is idling at a red light or stuck in traffic. It restarts the engine when either the foot comes off the brake pedal or the accelerator is pressed. The action is jerky — it too often feels like a minor collision — distracting and tiring, producing a

CAIRO — The standoff over the Strait of Hormuz quickly escalated again Saturday as Iran reversed its reopening of the crucial waterway and fired on ships attempting to pass, in retaliation after the United States pressed ahead with its blockade choking off Iranian ports. Confusion over the strait, through which roughly one-fifth of the world’s oil passes, threatened to deepen the energy crisis roiling the global economy and push the two countries toward renewed conflict. The ceasefire between them is due to run out by mid-next week, and Pakistani mediators were working to put together a new round of direct negotiations to keep the truce going.

Ten House Republicans joined Democrats on Thursday evening to keep roughly 350,000 Haitian nationals in the United States on Temporary Protected Status (TPS) despite the Trump administration seeking to end the quasi-amnesty. The House passed the measure, led by Reps. Ayanna Pressley (D-MA) and Laura Gillen (D-NY), after advancing the bill through a discharge petition maneuver, with help from half a dozen Republicans. Essentially, the bill would keep about 350,000 Haitians in the U.S. via TPS just as President Donald Trump fights in the Supreme Court to end the quasi-amnesty.
