White House Ballroom Plans Win Key Approval

The White House ballroom has run into some legal setbacks, which are far from resolved. But now we can report that one other procedural hurdle has been surmounted; the National Capital Planning Commission has officially approved the plans for President Trump's White House project. The commission, which is led by Trump appointees, met last month to evaluate the plans and public comments, many of which were negative. Critics have blasted the project as "appalling," a "monstrosity" and "vulgar" in the public comments. Will Scharf, the Trump-appointed commission chair, said he personally read every comment submitted to the commission and many of the negative ones were "unresponsive"

Let that idiot judge chew on THAT for a while!!

The same people who are calling the ballroom a monstrosity and vulgar are the same people who just cannot stop raving about how lovely Obama's towering ugly Library is.

That idiot "judge" that said Congress had to approve of the ballroom is on the same legal and intellectual level as Katanji Brown. Congress only has to approve is government money is being used to pay for it, which isn't the case.

One of the planning commission says "too tall" and "maybe a smaller footprint". OK, cut each by 5% and move on.

A quick online check shows that the ballroom is planned with 40 foot ceilings and 22,000 square feet. OK....if the commission wants to trim it a bit....how about 38 foot ceilings? That's 5% shorter and should be very adequate. 22,000 square feet is something like 100 feet by 220 feet. How about 96 feet by 210 feet, that is 20,160 square feet and if the original would seat 1,000 maybe this trimmed version will only seat 910 people. 8% less floor space, 95% of ceiling height. I think we could live with a tiny trim like this.

A federal judge has revoked the naturalized American citizenship of a Chinese couple who initially arrived in the United States on H-1B visas, after they were convicted of stealing medical trade secrets for China. This week, Judge James E. Simmons Jr. entered an order revoking the naturalized American citizenship of Li Chen and Yu Zhou, who each pleaded guilty in 2020 to one count of conspiracy to commit theft of trade secrets and one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud. “Gaining citizenship after committing serious crimes against the American people is an unacceptable abuse of our immigration system,” Attorney General Pamela Bondi said in a statement.

On Monday, the design for Donald Trump's future presidential library was unveiled. It's a stunning tower near the water in Miami, and the Donald J. Trump Presidential Library Foundation plans to raise nearly $1 billion to fund the project through the end of 2027. Some of the funding has already come from the massive settlements he's collected from fake news media outlets that have defamed him. Well, it looks like he may have just found another donor. The Daily Beast published one of the most deliberately deceptive headlines I’ve ever seen. And Trump’s lawyers should be all over this. The headline reads, “New Evidence Corroborates Claims of Trump Sex Accuser, 13."

On Monday night, Eric Trump, the son of President Donald Trump, dropped a stunning new rendering of President Donald Trump’s future presidential library. And let’s just say: Subtle it is not. The video, which he shared on X, shows a gleaming skyscraper rising over downtown Miami. It’s bold, beautiful, unmistakable, and very Trump. The building features his name in massive letters, evoking the signature style that defined his pre-presidential real estate empire. A spire at the top is light red, white, and blue, and an American flag hangs on the side. It is a gorgeous building.

The Kansas Legislature has just handed the pro-life community in the state a huge victory by overriding Democratic Gov. Laura Kelly’s veto and signing into law a new bill that will protect pro-life pregnancy centers from state mandates (Snip) Before diving deeper into the story, I think it's critical to ask why radical leftists would want to limit available health care options for pregnant women, seemingly encouraging them to murder their pre-born children in the womb. Why is it a bad thing to have alternatives available for those who find themselves scared and pregnant but don't want to kill their baby? Something about that just feels pure evil.

There was a time not so long ago when the Democrats were formidable and — I'm not kidding here — occasionally enjoyable political foes. During the Tea Party years, we would often encounter Dem activists and hang out with them for a while. Sometimes we would even socialize. (Snip) Which is why they are up in arms about the building of a ballroom. This is from Sarah: President Donald Trump has been having a great time building the new White House Ballroom in recent months, but anytime the president is having a good time doing something, a judge comes in and stops him.

What is going on in Fairfax County, Virginia? This is the third murder allegedly committed by an illegal alien in recent weeks. In early March, 41-year-old Stephanie Minter was knifed to death at a bus stop by an illegal from Sierra Leone, and earlier Wednesday, I reported on the Guatemalan “undocumented person” who stabbed a man to death on Sunday. Now, a man described as a “Virginia Father” who allegedly caused the blunt-force trauma death of his three-month-old baby is also revealed to be an illegal alien from Guatemala. All this is happening as VA Gov. Abigail Spanberger has rescinded deals to cooperate with federal immigration authorities,

European authorities are no closer to catching the thieves who swiped 12 tons of KitKat bars after stealing the truck that was transporting them from a Nestlé factory in central Italy to Poland last week. The shipment consisted of special-edition Formula One-themed KitKats shaped like race cars, as part of the company’s relationship with the motorsport league. The heist has raised plenty of eyebrows around the world, with people questioning how such a bizarre theft could have happened. But it has also prompted something else: Jokes on social media. Ryanair appeared to confess to the theft with an image of one of its planes chowing down on gigantic KitKat bars.

No, you didn’t read that headline wrong. The Austrian President has officially gone off the rails. This guy just gave us a glimpse into how the messed up globalist mind works when it finally stops pretending to be sane. Globalist leaders spent years flooding Europe with failed “refugees welcome” policies that have destroyed communities, crushed national identity, erased traditions, and helped turn once-safe countries into places filled with soaring violent crime. And the far-left leaders behind this madness still haven’t learned a single thing. In fact, they’ve actually become more unhinged, arrogant, and totally absurd. Which brings us to the latest gem from Europe’s ruling class.

Should California codify Islamic religious observances into state-recognized holidays in the United States? As a nation, the essence of who we are as a People is rooted in our Judeo-Christian values and principles, dating back to the Magna Carta. This shared moral vocabulary has shaped Western thinking since America’s founding. Why, then, would any State in the Union formally endorse or incorporate into our educational and other public institutions a religious doctrine with practices antithetical to the belief system? AB 2017, introduced by Progressive Democrats Assemblyman Matt Haney and Senator Aisha Wahab, proposes adding Eid al-Fitr (Festival of Breaking the Fast) and Eid al-Adha (Festival of Sacrifice) to California’s recognized holidays.
