When I was about 12 or 13, I had a friend who was fun to be with. When we were in my house or hers, we’d talk endlessly about our schoolmates, our teachers, her mother’s illness, and boys, boys, boys. But whenever we went outside, she would start counting.
“What are you doing?” I would ask.
“Counting my steps,” she responded.
“Why?”
She stopped walking to answer me, so she wouldn’t lose count.
“I just have to count them,” she said. “I can’t stop counting them.”
At that age, I had never even heard the word obsession,

Despite the fact that funding for ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) was already set for three years, Senate Democrats insisted on shutting down funding for DHS (Department of Homeland Security), CBP (Customs and Border Protection), and TSA (Transportation Safety Administration) in an effort to geld ICE. This partial shutdown lasted over 30 days, with delays at airports reaching as long as three hours. TSA workers, unpaid for weeks, were quitting. The Democrats wanted to force the Administration to change the policies and practices of ICE.

Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights Harmeet Dhillon has revealed that a massive DOJ review of between 50 and 60 million voter records has uncovered hundreds of thousands of ineligible registrations, including over 300,000 DEAD people still listed as active voters and tens of thousands of non-citizens who have already cast ballots in federal elections.
As The Gateway Pundit has reported extensively, Dhillon’s team has been waging war on dirty voter rolls since President Trump took office.
Back in December 2025, we told you how an initial review of just 47.5 million records found 260,000+ dead voters and thousands of illegals registered to vote.

The nerve of a judge to deport an illegal immigrant who held the lofty status of a staff member for the New York City Council has left New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani in high dudgeon.
Rafael Andres Rubio Bohorquez, a data analyst for the council, will be deported to Venezuela. The Department of Homeland Security said Rubio overstayed his 2017 tourist visa, has an arrest for assault, and does not possess work authorization, CBS News noted.
Mamdani argued his version of reality should take precedence over the law. “Today, an administrative immigration judge ordered the deportation of Rafael Rubio, a City Council employee. This is an affront to justice,”

Russian tanker with 730,000 barrels of oil is on its way to Cuba, the communist-run island crippled by a U.S. economic blockade.
The Anatoly Kolodkin tanker is expected to reach Cuba’s Matanza oil terminal on Monday, according to news reports.
The Russian vessel had been among those sanctioned by the U.S. in retaliation for that country’s 2022 invasion of Ukraine. But President Donald Trump lifted sanctions on Russian oil exports a week ago to help steady world oil markets that turned volatile after the Israel- and U.S.-led attacks on Iran,

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu confirmed that “Israel acted alone” and that President Donald Trump had asked Israel “to hold off on future attacks” after Israel attacked Iran’s South Pars Gas Field. During a press conference on Thursday, Netanyahu poked fun at online rumors that he was dead, stating that he was “alive.” Netanyahu also gave an update on Operation Roaring Lion, explaining that both Israel and the United States were “acting together in Iran with great determination.”

California has already sued the Trump administration at least 54 times a little more than a year into his second term. State Attorney General Rob Bonta claims the lawsuits are an effort to hold President Donald Trump accountable. But litigation goes both ways. The administration is now suing California over its zero-emission (in effect, electric) vehicle mandate.
The Justice Department says that California’s ZEV mandates and its stringent standards for CO2 emissions violate federal law, which expressly prohibits states from setting their own fuel economy standards for cars, adding that the California Air Resources Board’s (CARB) mandates -

El Cajon Mayor Bill Wells has a rather stunning allegation to make against the state of California. Oh wait, maybe it’s not that stunning, considering Gavin Newsom’s Golden State is often at the heart of some of the most bat guano policies you’ll ever come across.
Wells says that officials actually hamper child welfare checks because they wouldn’t want to inadvertently come across an illegal alien and have to do something about it.
He wrote an op-ed for Fox News Thursday where he detailed the insanity:Wells had more to say in his op-ed, and it will make your blood boil. This is the definition of one-party progressive rule run amok:

There are few things worse than someone who has had everything handed to them who acts like they’ve somehow earned all of it. We say these people “were born on 3rd base and act like they hit a triple.” I don’t have a problem with inherited wealth, but that, coupled with a sense of entitlement, is too much form. I call it the “Lucky Sperm Syndrome” – the people whose greatest, and often only, accomplishment in life is that they were the sperm that cracked the egg. Illinois Governor JB Pritzker comes to mind.

Diversity is our strength.’ One hears this, or myriad variants of the same idea, unrelentingly. Certainly I work in an Australian university where the extent of higher-ups pushing this notion does indeed qualify as unrelenting, even matching totalitarian state levels of propaganda. But even outside the hallowed halls of impartial, politically balanced academia (did I write that with a straight face?) the mantra or cliché that diversity somehow delivers a stronger balance sheet or a more cohesive society or just better outcomes is pervasive in today’s democracies that have committed themselves to multiculturalism and to the various neo-Marxist versions of feminism. Since 2019, nearly two dozen states — most of them blue states — have vowed to transition their grids to run without generators powered by fossil fuels within the next 24 years.
While Democrats have often been vocal supporters of these efforts, President Donald Trump’s energy policies have produced a direct challenge to net-zero plans. Outside the political sphere, independent assessments find the nation’s grid is becoming increasingly fragile, primarily a direct result of an overreliance on weather-dependent renewables.
This has led to a rapid shift in the conversation on energy in America.

Iran intensified its attacks on its Gulf Arab neighbors’ energy infrastructure Thursday, setting Qatari liquified natural gas facilities ablaze as it hit back following an Israeli attack on its main natural gas field, a major escalation in the Mideast war that has sent global fuel prices soaring.
A ship burned off the coast of the United Arab Emirates and another was damaged off of Qatar, underscoring the ever-present danger facing vessels due to Iran’s stranglehold on the Strait of Hormuz.
Qatar, a key source of natural gas for world markets, said firefighters had put out a blaze at a major LNG facility after it had been hit by Iranian missile attacks.
