Religious Minorities

Pakistan, included by US President Donald J. Trump in his "Board of Peace" for the Gaza Strip, nevertheless continues to be one of the most dangerous countries for Christians and other non-Muslims. International watchdog organizations continue to rank Pakistan among the most difficult countries for Christians. "The year 2025 was marked by a deepening crisis for religious minorities in Pakistan, characterized by entrenched legal discrimination, rising mob violence, and a climate of near-total impunity for perpetrators." — 2025 report by "Voice of Pakistan Minority."

While atrocities against Christian’s are lamentable, they frankly pale in comparison, both in volume and cruelty to what is being suffered by Hindus. When compared to the pampered protected status sought by Muslims in neighboring India this is particularly outrageous. Now even Bangladesh has joined this persecution.

Islam is like a fungus, you stamp it out in one place and it grows in another. It's going to require all non-islamic countries to refuse them entry and, left to their own initiative, they will die out due to their unfitness to exist on a civilized planet. Unfortunately, everybody welcomes them in good faith and then pays the price.

Boasberg's at It Again: Judge Changes
Grand Jury Rules After Democrats Avoid Indictments

Posted by Mercedes44 3/20/2026 7:10:24 PM Post Reply
Chief U.S. District Judge James Boasberg has ordered a temporary change to grand jury procedure in Washington, D.C., requiring notification when juries decline to issue indictments, a move that stands out for how rarely judges require formal reporting at this stage. Grand juries are designed to operate independently. They decide whether charges move forward, often behind closed doors and with limited visibility, even to the courts themselves. Judges oversee the process broadly, but they do not typically require formal reporting when a case ends without charges. Boasberg’s order changes that dynamic.

Costa Rican President Rodrigo Chaves declared that his government does not recognize the legitimacy of the communist regime in Cuba. During a press conference in Peñas Blancas, on the northern border with Nicaragua, Chaves ordered the definitive closure of the Costa Rican embassy in Havana and demanded the immediate withdrawal of Cuban diplomatic personnel in San José, limiting relations to the consular sphere starting April 1. “The Government of Costa Rica does not recognize the legitimacy of the communist regime in Cuba in view of the mistreatment, repression, and undignified conditions endured by the inhabitants of that beautiful island,” Chaves stated firmly.

Conservative historian and scholar Victor Davis Hanson just put Operation Epic Fury into historic perspective during an appearance on FOX News and compared Trump to Winston Churchill in the process. Hanson makes the point that when Churchill was trying to warn the world about Germany, he was largely ignored by other leaders and suggests that a similar thing is happening with Trump and Iran. He also points out that all of Trump’s recent predecessors have said that they wished they had dealt with the problem of Iran while they were in office. The difference is that Trump is actually doing it.

Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s wife, Rama Duwaji, deactivated an old X account after a series of resurfaced posts showed her praising Palestinian terrorists, bashing Israel and criticizing the US military. The Big Apple’s 28-year-old first lady — who has faced backlash over her social media history the past two weeks — took down the account a day after the Washington Free Beacon revealed a flurry of alarming posts she made on X and Tumblr in her teens and early 20s. While her X account — under username @_RamaDee — was deleted as of Thursday, Duwaji’s public Instagram page, which has 2 million followers, remains active.

President of Costa Rica Rodrigo Chaves Robles announced on Wednesday that his country would cut all diplomatic ties to Cuba, shutting down its embassy in Havana and ordering all Cuban diplomats out of the country. Chaves Robles, whose term is slated to end in May, explicitly stated that his opposition to socialism and communism – and an escalation in human rights abuses by the Cuban Communist Party at home – were the reason for his decision. We do not recognize the legitimacy of this government,” the president asserted on Wednesday. “We have to clean the hemisphere of communists. Simple as that.”

Former FBI Director James Comey has been subpoenaed as part of the Justice Department's "grand conspiracy" probe, two sources confirmed to Just The News Thursday. The investigation is looking into claims that Democrats attempted to undermine President Donald Trump, treating the last decade of political weaponization of law enforcement and intelligence agencies as an ongoing criminal conspiracy. The probe is being led by Jason A. Reding Quiñones, the U.S. attorney for the Southern District of Florida, and U.S. District Judge Aileen Cannon is overseeing the case, according to Axios.

Venezuelan-born PragerU commentator Franklin Camargo shot back at Democrats during a Wednesday hearing on the capture of dictator Nicolás Maduro, calling him an “evil narcoterrorist who committed crimes against Americans.” The House Judiciary Subcommittee on Oversight, chaired by Rep. Jeff Van Drew (R-NY), gathered witnesses for a hearing dubbed “The Legal Basis for Action Against Venezuelan Drug Traffickers.” House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jamie Raskin (D-MD) and Oversight Subcommittee Ranking Member Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) were loud with their opposition to the Trump administration’s January arrest of Maduro and his wife in the Venezuelan capital of Caracas.

Estonia says it’s “ready to talk” with the U.S. about providing naval escorts for merchant ships traveling through the hotly contested Strait of Hormuz. When the president is saying something like that, then we need to be open … to understand what we can do together to solve that problem,” Pevkur said, adding there would have to be a ceasefire in the conflict before Estonia would take concrete action. With a total population of just 1.4 million, Estonia’s role would be limited. Earlier, Estonia’s neighbor, Finland, said it could “see a potential deal” for European forces to play a role in the strait, though larger European Union member states including —

History does not always announce its turning points with ceremony. Sometimes it reveals them through the clarity of a single decision. President Donald J. Trump’s choice to place Kristi Noem at the center of the Shield of the Americas is one of those decisions. It is not a gesture. It is not a public-relations exercise. It is not a symbolic appointment designed to satisfy a news cycle. It is a recognition that the greatest threat now confronting the Western Hemisphere is not confined to borders, nor to narcotics, nor to migration in isolation.

When “ICE-Out” protests spread across Arizona in recent months, one restaurant found itself at the center of the ICE storm. At Sammy’s Mexican Grill, owners Jorge and Betty Rivas—immigrants who have lived the American dream—chose to stay open and continue their five-year tradition of serving free meals to all law-enforcement officers. The Rivas’s story reached The Daily Signal through Mark Hurley, senior advisor to the president for donor relations at The Heritage Foundation. Hurley stopped for lunch at Sammy’s Mexican Grill during a trip to Arizona, and was struck by the family’s resilience, calling their story “impressive” and inspiring to see people “standing up for what they believe in.”

Arkansas GOP Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders said Thursday that she was asked to leave a restaurant in Little Rock last week because her presence made employees and customers feel "threatened." Sanders previously served as White House press secretary during President Donald Trump's first term and has since been a supporter of the president's immigration policies. The governor said she was dining with two other moms at the restaurant, which has been identified as The Croissanterie, when the owner allegedly told members of her security detail that Sanders must leave because her "presence made their employees feel threatened." As more and more people flee blue states and their high-tax, soft-on-crime, expensive cost-of-living environments, Democrats are going to become more desperate to stop the population hemorrhaging. Some places, like California, have tried exit taxes. New York Governor Kathy Hochul begged wealthy New Yorkers to return to fund her fraudulent, expensive welfare programs. In Washington, they're now forcing people to prove their houses have an acceptable "home energy score" before they're allowed to sell.

Useful idiots in California want to bend the knee to Islam, removing all doubt that this state can be saved. KTXL reported on Sunday that Democratic State Assemblyman Matt Haney has introduced a bill that would officially recognize two Muslim holidays — Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha — as state holidays. Eid al-Fitr, as the BBC noted, means “festival of the breaking of the fast,” marking the end of Ramadan. Muslim community leaders commended the bill as a “historic step” in efforts to combat Islamophobia, per KTXL.

In 2022, California Gov. Gavin Newsom broke ground on the Wallis Annenberg Wildlife Crossing (WAWC), a project featuring an overpass for animals atop ten lanes of the 101 Freeway in Southern California. At the ceremony, Newsom boasted that the state had committed $54 million. He promised to “complete the job within another $10 million,” before seeming to hedge on whether that final sum would do the trick. Officials projected a 2025 completion date for the overpass, and estimated that the entire project — which includes the bridge and other ancillary developments — would cost $92 million, some of it coming from private philanthropists.

Given Iran’s half century of cruel barbarism in the Middle East, it’s hard to understand why the Democrats seem to be rooting for them in the current war. I have two theories. One is the obvious one. The Dems are not so much rooting for Iran, as rooting against Iran’s enemy. Bad as Iran is, its enemy is even worse in the eyes of the Dems. Iran’s enemy, you see – or at least the Dems see – has a history of its own cruel barbarism going back to at least 1619. Iran’s enemy has engaged in genocide against native people. Iran’s enemy has wrongly oppressed workers of the world

California lawmakers said Thursday they planned to change the name of “César Chavez Day” to “Farmworkers Day” after sexual abuse allegations against the late civil rights leader arose earlier this week. The New York Times reported Wednesday that Chavez had groomed and sexually abused young girls within the labor rights movement while he served as leader of the United Farm Workers Union. One of those women was Dolores Huerta, who co-founded the union with Chavez in 1962. Huerta came forward this week with allegations that she was victimized by Chavez in her 30s.

In 2018, then-White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders was eating at the Red Hen in Lexington when the owners asked her to leave because of her politics. It was a huge controversy (and not to be confused with the September incident when President Trump and those who were with him were harassed by protesters at the D.C. eatery with the same name). That Red Hen location closed permanently in 2023. Now, an Arkansas eatery has started the clock on its own closure after asking Governor Huckabee Sanders to leave their establishment, again over her politics. Certainly I work in an Australian university where the extent of higher-ups pushing this notion does indeed qualify as unrelenting, even matching totalitarian state levels of propaganda. But even outside the hallowed halls of impartial, politically balanced academia (did I write that with a straight face?) the mantra or cliché that diversity somehow delivers a stronger balance sheet or a more cohesive society or just better outcomes is pervasive in today’s democracies that have committed themselves to multiculturalism and to the various neo-Marxist versions of feminism. In politics, it is often the people who you think have your back who end up stabbing you there. Nobody knows that better than Donald Trump, who has been stabbed in the back more times than Julius Caesar — yet has still survived. This week, part of the noisy right-wing online podcast-sphere again turned on the president. Leading the virtual charge, again, was Trump’s one-time cheerleader, Tucker Carlson. There was a time when Carlson was fully Team Trump. Carlson often appeared at Trump rallies as part of the warmup act. But in the past year, he has tried to lead the MAGA base away from Trump and down a very dark path.
