Former FBI Director James Comey has been subpoenaed as part of the Justice Department's "grand conspiracy" probe, two sources confirmed to Just The News Thursday. The investigation is looking into claims that Democrats attempted to undermine President Donald Trump, treating the last decade of political weaponization of law enforcement and intelligence agencies as an ongoing criminal conspiracy. The probe is being led by Jason A. Reding Quiñones, the U.S. attorney for the Southern District of Florida, and U.S. District Judge Aileen Cannon is overseeing the case, according to Axios.

Philanthropist and fundraiser George Pond is expanding President Donald Trump's 2025 National Day of Prayer Proclamation, encouraging intentional and frequent prayer for the nation through a new effort called the 7:14 Initiative. "We've been doing this since May 2024. We've been praying every day. We haven't stopped. May 2 will be our 714th day, and we will continue to pray, and a lot of it has to do with basically focusing on unpacking the principles built into scripture." The initiative, which urges believers to spend 14 minutes in prayer, seven days a week, at 7:14 a.m., has expanded to participants across four time zones,

CBS News’ latest round of cuts under editor-in-chief Bari Weiss claimed a handful of anchors and correspondents — with more top talent to come in later weeks. Sources told The Post that some of the network’s Friday casualties include correspondent Elaine Quijano, who was also weekend morning anchor for New York; Dallas-based correspondent Omar Villafranca; Los Angeles-based correspondent Nidia Cavazos; Las Vegas-based correspondent Andres Gutierrez; national correspondent Dave Malkoff; and Karen Hua, a national reporter in Houston. They join Washington, DC-based reporter Nick Kurtz and political reporter Hunter Woodall, who announced that they were let go on X. The DC bureau lost above five staff total,

CBS News Radio — the century-old home of legendary journalists Walter Cronkite and Edward R. Murrow — is shutting down as network boss Bari Weiss continues to reshape the struggling news network, cutting 6% of its workforce in a Friday bloodbath that claimed 60 to 70 jobs. Weiss and CBS News President Tom Cibrowksi said Friday that CBS Radio will shut down May 22 with all roles in the unit eliminated — a move that was driven by industry shifts and financial pressure from David Ellison, CEO of CBS parent Paramount Skydance. The duo told employees that “a shift in radio station programming strategies, coupled with challenging economic realities,

Grand Jury Rules After Democrats Avoid Indictments

Chief U.S. District Judge James Boasberg has ordered a temporary change to grand jury procedure in Washington, D.C., requiring notification when juries decline to issue indictments, a move that stands out for how rarely judges require formal reporting at this stage. Grand juries are designed to operate independently. They decide whether charges move forward, often behind closed doors and with limited visibility, even to the courts themselves. Judges oversee the process broadly, but they do not typically require formal reporting when a case ends without charges. Boasberg’s order changes that dynamic.

Costa Rican President Rodrigo Chaves declared that his government does not recognize the legitimacy of the communist regime in Cuba. During a press conference in Peñas Blancas, on the northern border with Nicaragua, Chaves ordered the definitive closure of the Costa Rican embassy in Havana and demanded the immediate withdrawal of Cuban diplomatic personnel in San José, limiting relations to the consular sphere starting April 1. “The Government of Costa Rica does not recognize the legitimacy of the communist regime in Cuba in view of the mistreatment, repression, and undignified conditions endured by the inhabitants of that beautiful island,” Chaves stated firmly.

Conservative historian and scholar Victor Davis Hanson just put Operation Epic Fury into historic perspective during an appearance on FOX News and compared Trump to Winston Churchill in the process. Hanson makes the point that when Churchill was trying to warn the world about Germany, he was largely ignored by other leaders and suggests that a similar thing is happening with Trump and Iran. He also points out that all of Trump’s recent predecessors have said that they wished they had dealt with the problem of Iran while they were in office. The difference is that Trump is actually doing it.

Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese learned a valuable lesson about pandering to Islamists during a recent visit to a mosque in Sydney, with what was supposed to be a box-checking affair quickly getting out of hand. Following Albanese's denunciations of the Iranian regime, the left-winger must have felt the need to make amends. To do so, he showed up at a mosque to sit on the floor in his socks and parrot Muslim prayers. The Islamists in the crowd weren't as eager to accept his olive branch, though. Multiple videos showed the moment chaos erupted. At least one person tried to rush the prime minister, with the assumed

Nobody knows that better than Donald Trump, who has been stabbed in the back more times than Julius Caesar — yet has still survived. This week, part of the noisy right-wing online podcast-sphere again turned on the president. Leading the virtual charge, again, was Trump’s one-time cheerleader, Tucker Carlson. There was a time when Carlson was fully Team Trump. Carlson often appeared at Trump rallies as part of the warmup act. But in the past year, he has tried to lead the MAGA base away from Trump and down a very dark path.

A coalition of 40 Democratic states, cities and counties sued the Trump administration on Thursday, challenging the recent termination of a longstanding policy allowing the Environmental Protection Agency to regulate climate pollution. The lawsuit, and others like it, will kick off a years-long court saga that could wind up at the Supreme Court and determine the fate of Trump’s plan to undo decades of climate policy. First issued in 2009 during the Obama administration, the endangerment finding is considered the federal government’s most powerful tool to tackle climate pollution. The finding determined that six greenhouse gases could be categorized as dangerous to human health
