Lou Holtz, the legendary college football coach who led Notre Dame to their last national championship, has died. He was 89 years old. Holtz entered hospice care earlier this year but remained in high spirits as he entered the final phase of his life. A life that certainly left its mark on the world of college football, as Holtz first gained national prominence guiding the Arkansas Razorbacks to an 11-1 record and a thrilling bowl victory over Oklahoma. While Holtz would have his greatest moment by winning a national championship at Notre Dame in 1988, he would amass a record of dominance in his 40 years as a head coach.

Comments:

He was also a vocal supporter of President Trump. Rest in peace, Coach.

Touchdown Jesus lifted him straight up to heaven where his beloved wife was waiting.. This quiet man was a giant and inspired countless young men on and off the field. No one can replace him. God. Country. Notre Dame. Thank you, Coach.

That’s a shame. He was a great coach, a funny guy, and a great motivational speaker. When he coached Arkansas, they were practicing for an upcoming bowl game that everyone expected them to lose. He was interviewed by a sports reporter who asked him how he was sleeping. He said “like a baby - I wake up every two hours and cry!” They won the game. His motivational talks always included talks about rolling with the punches in life, and looking ahead; he said “I’ve been up, and I’ve been down, and I’ll be both places again.” He’ll be missed. Rest in peace, Coach.

I was born in So. Bend and raised on ND football. My grandparents had season tickets and were always happy to give me a pair once a year. Saw a lot of good football. Coach was such a decent man. Something some coaches have lost touch with. Humble, caring, and a God loving man. No doubt he is walking with his wife in heaven. He had a long good life and now it is time for his reward. Coach, you will be missed but you will never be forgotten. You were a big part of the fabric at ND. Rest in Peace and watch over the Fighting Irish from Heaven.

Holtz was a very respected, irreplaceable motivator and old school conservative. Holtz Three Rules for Life 1) Do what’s right - trust 2) Do everything to the best of your ability - commitment 3) Show people you care - love. RIP Coach

When he was the coach at N.C. State, my husband and I heard him speak at an alumni dinner. What a delightful person he was as well as a fantastic coach. He was an inspiration to his players. RIP

America has lost a great coach, father, husband, and all around great personality. His primary leadership skill was humor. Will Roger’s would have loved Lou Holtz, except for his politics that is, and we can all fault Mr. Rogers for his. RIP Coach.

The best man to ever coach a U of Arkansas! Being a good man is harder than being a good coach. More coaches should aspire to it.

Setting the stage for a new fight with the White House, New York’s top cop promised “further action” if a hospital system doesn’t resume chemical castration of minors. Last month, in compliance with President Donald Trump’s executive order that cut off funding for institutions that continued medically maiming children in the name of alphabet activism, NYU Langone Health halted its Transgender Youth Health Program. Now, New York Attorney General Letitia James (D) has given the hospital system until March 11 to restart it, demonstrating “how desperate Democrats are to mutilate your kids.”

The Supreme Court unanimously ruled that federal appeals courts must defer to immigration judges’ determinations on whether asylum-seekers face harm in their home countries severe enough to qualify for U.S. protection, marking a victory for the Trump administration’s immigration agenda. We’re all aware of a sickness in our public life right now. To be honest, I'd call it much more of a spiritual attack from darkness. But at the very least, it's a widespread cultural delusion of gender ideology. The symptoms are not coming from the parents who are asking hard questions. It is coming from the people who cannot tolerate those questions. This week, video surfaced of Madeline Mann, a UCSF administrator, threatening to kill a woman for speaking out against gender transition surgeries on minors. The target was Beth Bourne, a mother who has been critical of medical interventions pushed on children struggling with gender dysphoria.

The B-52 Stratofortress bomber, often affectionately referred to as the "Big, Ugly, Fat Fellow," or BUFF, is an aircraft whose design history begins at the end of World War 2. The first B-52 bombers were delivered to the United States Air Force in the early 1950s, and the newer marks of that magnificent warbird are still flying today. There's a good reason for the long service of this wonderful warbird; it may not be as slick, as fast, or as fancy as newer aircraft, but if you need a few dozen square miles of countryside destroyed and you need it destroyed right now, the BUFF can get that done.
