Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Kristi Noem revealed on Thursday that certain DHS staffers had allegedly installed spyware on her phone and computer, as well as on devices belonging to other political appointees. “You wouldn’t even believe what I’ve found since I’ve been in this department,” Noem told conservative podcaster Patrick Bet-David . Noem said she discovered the spyware last year with the assistance of former DOGE chief Elon Musk and his team. “They helped me identify that some of my own employees in my department had downloaded software on my phone and my laptop to spy on me to record our meetings,” Noem said.

As our managing editor Jennifer Van Laar reported earlier Friday night, the United States, in conjunction with Israel, has launched a daytime military campaign against the Islamic Republic of Iran after talks failed to bring a breakthrough over the despotic regime’s nuclear ambitions. Iran is now responding to the ongoing mission, dubbed “Operation Epic Fox News reporter Trey Yingst said that air sirens are going off in the Jewish state’s second-largest city, Tel Aviv:

Well, it's on. The United States and Israel launched attacks on Iran, to the surprise of almost no one. Well, maybe to the surprise of the Iranian regime. This is from our stalwart Townhall colleague Matt Vespa: As I write this, the information is coming in at a furious pace. Whenever things like this are happening, the task is to filter what's helpful and what is not. Even with my skills, this story makes that a challenge. Here is an official confirmation of what we know so far: They’ve lied about everything—from the economy to your gas stove. And they’re not stopping.

Joint American-Israeli strikes against Iran took place over night, with U.S. President Donald Trump addressing both the nation and the people of Iran. Announcing the strikes to eliminate “imminent threats from the Iranian regime” which “directly endangers the United States, our troops, our bases overseas, and our allies throughout the world”, Trump said: “A short time ago, the United States Military began major combat operations in Iran”. Iranian retaliatory strikes have been launched against Israel.

The US and Israel launched airstrikes against Iran Saturday morning in response to the regime’s refusal to dismantle its nuclear program after weeks of negotiations. The attacks — which the Department of War called “Operation Epic Fury” — follow a massive US military buildup in the Middle East and come after President Trump repeatedly warned Tehran that it would face consequences if it didn’t make a deal with the US. Iran then launched missiles towards Israel in a retaliatory attack as officials claimed the response would be “crushing.”

The strike happened near the offices of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, according to the Associated Press. Katz described the attack as being done “to remove threats" without being more specific.

The artificial intelligence startup OpenAI announced Friday night that it has reached an agreement to deploy its technology at the Pentagon — while imposing the same kinds of ethical guardrails that have triggered the Trump administration to sever ties with the company’s archrival Anthropic. “Tonight, we reached an agreement with the Department of War to deploy our models in their classified network,” OpenAI CEO Sam Altman wrote on X, adding that the Defense Department “displayed a deep respect for safety and a desire to partner to achieve the best possible outcome.” Two of the most crucial safety principles for OpenAI are “prohibitions on domestic mass surveillance and human responsibility for the use

Someone's lying. And in this case, I'd bet it's not the lawyer. Yesterday, Reuters reported that hidden files within the FBI revealed communications surveillance on now-FBI Director Kash Patel and White House chief of staff Susie Wiles in 2022-23. The "toll records" surveillance supposedly came as part of the Department of Justice probes into Donald Trump's alleged mishandling of classified material at Mar-a-Lago and the January 6 riot. Neither Patel nor Wiles played a role in either, however, although both had begun working for Trump's nascent presidential campaign during that same period. This alone raises significant questions about the nature of Merrick Garland's DoJ and Jack Smith's actions

President Donald Trump suggested on Friday a possible “friendly takeover” of Cuba, adding that the country is in a “big deal of trouble” economically. “They have no money. They have no anything right now,” Trump told reporters outside the White House. “Maybe we’ll have a friendly takeover of Cuba.” Trump’s remarks hinted at a softening of the U.S. approach to Cuba. Instead of harsh forecasts about regime change, top Trump aides have lately emphasized first having economic reforms in Cuba. This comes as Secretary of State Marco Rubio has engaged in conversations with Cuban representatives about the future of the island country.
