Donald Trump has ordered his special forces commanders to draw up a plan for the invasion of Greenland - but is being resisted by senior military figures, The Mail on Sunday has learned.
Sources say that the policy 'hawks' around the US President, led by political adviser Stephen Miller, have been so emboldened by the success of the operation to capture Venezuela's leader Nicolas Maduro that they want to move quickly to seize the island before Russia or China makes a move.
British diplomats believe that Trump is also motivated by a desire to distract American voters from the performance of the US economy before the mid-term elections

Democrats have rushed to brand a Wednesday shooting involving ICE as “murder” and “state sanctioned execution.” After months of attacks against ICE agents, such rhetoric only serves one purpose: to justify more vigilante violence.
Renee Good was fatally shot Wednesday after accelerating her vehicle toward an ICE agent standing in front of it during an encounter in Minneapolis. The ICE agent fired what the Department of Homeland Security described as “defensive shots.” Notably, seconds before the shooting, law enforcement seemingly ordered Good to exit her vehicle — but instead, she tried to flee.
Nonetheless, Democrats have recklessly rushed to issue a verdict, that is, that the shooting was “murder.”

As anti-regime protests continue to spread across Iran and questions swirl about the durability of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei’s rule, a central question looms: Who would actually take power if the Islamic Republic were to collapse? The answer, according to regional experts and Iranian opposition figures, is far from clear. It may depend less on ideology than on how the regime falls and whether Iran’s security forces fracture or hold. Behnam Ben Taleblu, a senior fellow at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies, said the critical variable is not simply whether the regime collapses, but how it happens.

Democratic Oregon state Sen. Kayse Jama is audibly incapable of speaking fluent English despite having moved to the U.S. nearly three decades ago.
Jama spoke at a podium in Portland on Thursday, where he, in broken English, condemned Immigration and Customs Enforcement and told them to get out of the city. The state senator moved to the U.S. in 1998, according to his biography.
“This [is] Oregon, we do not need you … you’re not welcome and you need to get the hell out of our community,” Jama spat out.

The Minnesota Fraternal Order of Police (MNFOP) released a statement Thursday with the heading, “FOP stands with ICE.”
The statement said, in part:
The Minnesota Fraternal Order of Police stands with the men and women of law enforcement across this country. Over the last month, while Federal law enforcement has been doing their job in Minnesota, political and community leaders have condemned and vilified them.
The hateful and anti-law enforcement rhetoric by Mayor Frey and other politicians have made their jobs and those of local and state law enforcement more difficult and dangerous. The job of law enforcement is difficult and dangerous enough without the agitation by leaders in our state

A decade ago, Daniel Di Martino fled Venezuela to escape the socialist regime that had been in place nearly all his life.
He was only 17 at the time.
Di Martino, who is now a fellow at the Manhattan Institute and a doctoral candidate in economics at Columbia University, saw firsthand how socialism destroyed his once-prosperous country. While he couldn’t be happier about the Trump administration’s recent capture of Venezuelan dictator Nicolás Maduro, Di Martino is concerned about the rise of socialist ideas in the United States – including in New York City, where he works, with the election of Mayor Zohran Mamdani, an open democratic socialist.

President Donald J. Trump has emerged as the first leader to stand decisively, openly, and courageously with the Iranian people themselves — against the dictatorship, against repression, and in favor of genuine freedom, democracy and peace.
What distinguishes Trump's position is not rhetoric, but resolve. For years, Western leaders have issued statements of "concern" while avoiding any action that might inconvenience their diplomatic calculations or economic interests. President Trump broke from that spinelessness.
More importantly, Trump sent a direct warning to the Iranian regime: if it continues to kill innocent protesters, he will "rescue" them: the United States will not stand idly by. This is the opposite of a call for war;

Following Washinton’s 2025 unsuccessful attempt to violate the Catholic seal of confession, a proposed Arizona law attempts to do the same. Arizona Bill HB 2039 seeks to modify state law by making it a class 6 felony, with fines of up to $150,000 and up to two years of imprisonment, if priests, with reasonable suspicion that abuse penitents disclosed in confession is ongoing, will continue, or may be a threat to other minors, fail to report this to peace officers or the department of child safety promptly.
Given the danger HB 2039 poses, this column highlights Catholic Church teachings about confession before examining selected litigation —

haven't heard of Diosdado Cabello, Venezuela's detested interior minister who commands an army of motorcycle goons, and who has a $25 million reward on his head, second only to former dictator Nicolás Maduro, now's a good time to get a whiff of what he's about.
He actually said this on Venezuelan state television, with his motorcycle goons all around him: Except for him, of course. His violent goon squads and death squads hunt down and kill anyone who dissents with the regime. They also deal drugs as the country's biggest drug lords, closely affiliated with Colombia's FARC and ELN Marxist narcoterrorists.

President Trump and Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei are escalating a war of words as the Islamic Republic cracks down on mass protests that saw buildings set on fire in cities across the country overnight Friday.
Khamenei claimed Friday that nearly two weeks of protests amounted to rioters and “hirelings” acting on Trump’s behalf, in a barrage of social media posts that largely took aim at the U.S. president for his repeated threats to intervene militarily in Iran to protect demonstrators. The US President who judges arrogantly about the whole world should know that tyrants & arrogant rulers of the world, such as Pharaoh, Nimrod, Mohammad Reza [Pahlavi]

President Trump on Friday night called on credit card companies to cap interest rates at 10 percent.
“Please be informed that we will no longer let the American Public be ‘ripped off’ by Credit Card Companies that are charging Interest Rates of 20 to 30%, and even more, which festered unimpeded during the Sleepy Joe Biden Administration. AFFORDABILITY!” the president wrote in a post on Truth Social, using a term he has frequently referred to as a “hoax” pushed by Democrats.
Effective January 20, 2026, I, as President of the United States, am calling for a one year cap on Credit Card Interest Rates of 10%. Coincidentally,

Stellantis
is scrapping its plug-in hybrid electric Jeep SUVs and Chrysler minivan amid slowing EV sales, quality issues and weakened federal fuel economy requirements.
The automaker on Friday said the decision to end production of the plug-in hybrid Jeep Wrangler, Jeep Grand Cherokee and Chrysler Pacifica was a result of waning customer demand and the need to focus on “more competitive electrified solutions, including hybrid and range‑extended vehicles.”
“Stellantis continually evaluates its product strategy to meet evolving customer needs and regulatory requirements. With customer demand shifting, Stellantis will phase out plug‑in hybrid (PHEV) programs in North America beginning with the 2026 model year,” the company said in an emailed statement.

Bill and Hillary Clinton are facing contempt of Congress charges if they don’t appear before a House committee next week to testify in the Jeffrey Epstein investigation.
The couple was originally scheduled to testify before the House Oversight Committee in December but those appearances were moved to January 13 for him and the 14th for her at the request of the couple, who cited a conflict.
But now they haven’t confirmed they will be there next week. And Rep. James Comer (R-Ky.), the chairman of the panel, said he’ll slap them with contempt if they don’t show.

This is our 2nd historic expose’ on the South American voting systems designed in Venezuela, purportedly for fraud ballot creation. This 2nd essay on election jiggering, originally published Nov 19, 2020, has many jaw dropping insights. But now, today -- we have access to former Prez Maduro to verify his vote machines as first line offense for election overthrow. Chances are, Maduro will exchange this information for a lighter sentence. Time will tell...Stay tuned for essay #3!
INTRO: Dominion Voting System – Americans now realize voting, our most important undertaking, is mishandled by private companies. Dominion casts a long, troubled shadow over democracies, with 69 client countries and 28 US states.

It was another wild week in the news. Delta Force pulled off one of modern history’s most impressive operations, arresting Venezuelan dictator Nicolas Maduro in Caracas and bringing him back to the U.S. to stand trial, all within a matter of hours. Socialist Zohran Mamdani was sworn in as Mayor of New York, and delivered an inauguration speech that included a phrase that will inspire meme-makers for years to come. Minnesota frauds continued in the news, and Minneapolis once again made news in the worst possible way, with a pro-illegal immigration activist being shot as she was running over an ICE agent. There is a battle across the Anglosphere on the Right side of the political spectrum. We see it in Britain between a ‘we mean business on immigration’ insurgent Reform Party riding high in the polls and the established Tory Party that really did nothing (and repeatedly broke manifesto promises) on that issue and a host of other issues for 14 years. We see it in Australia between a lifeless, Labour-lite dominated Liberal Party – that is unelectable – and the various conservative splinter parties, most noticeably One Nation. And we see it, in a different guise, even in the US.

It’s an odd predicament for a leading Democratic presidential contender. Gavin Newsom’s biggest strength—political spin and performance come almost second nature to him—could also be his biggest liability as he strains to remake the tarnished image of the state he has governed for the last seven years.
Newsom, with his smooth-talking, rapid-fire responses and his attempt to out-Trump Trump on social media aggression, is everything Kamala Harris wasn’t in 2024. But neither Californian can easily shake the biggest millstone dragging down their White House ambitions. Their failed progressive policies have sullied the Golden State’s image, driving up prices, homelessness, and mismanagement.

Democratic strategist Julian Epstein rebuked his own party on “2WAY TONIGHT” on Thursday for rhetoric he said effectively sanctioned violence against Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
An ICE agent fatally shot a 37-year-old woman during a Wednesday operation in Minneapolis, Minnesota, when she accelerated her car forward as agents surrounded her vehicle. Epstein said on the show that he believed inflammatory remarks from Democratic politicians about ICE contributed to the incident.

The decision by Brazil’s Federal Council of Medicine to open a formal investigation into the healthcare received by former President Jair Bolsonaro is neither a routine administrative procedure nor a hasty reaction to political noise.
It is a serious institutional act, undertaken following formal complaints that raise doubts about whether the Brazilian state ensured adequate medical care for a patient with a complex and widely known clinical history.
The initiative comes from the highest regulatory body of the medical profession and occurs at a particularly sensitive moment, both due to the personal situation of the individual involved and the country’s political climate.

She really doesn’t have much choice. President Trump has shown the Venezuelan government how the U.S. can put a complete stranglehold on the South American country if they do not adhere to the transition plans of Trump and Secretary of State Marco Rubio, the enforcer.
Following the U.S. capture of Nicolás Maduro, Venezuela’s new government under Delcy Rodríguez has begun releasing political prisoners in a bid to foster unity and peace. The change in Venezuelan politics comes directly as the result of President Trump using the military to block oil shipments, the major source of revenue for the nation.
The move seems to indicate a potential shift in Venezuela’s political landscape,

Social media is crawling with self-proclaimed forensic analysts poring over footage of Wednesday’s ICE shooting in Minneapolis and insisting it shows the agent who shot Renee Nicole Good lacked justification. Some of the takes are downright embarrassing, with left-wing influencers confidently analyzing the wrong ICE agent altogether, pointing to the one at the side of the vehicle instead of the agent positioned in front of it. Some simply post the same footage we’ve all seen and merely declare the video proves the agent is a murderer.
I’ve seen it all, and let me tell you, of all the analyses out there,

Finally, someone said it. And by “someone,” I mean the guy with a brain worm who planted a dead bear in Central Park.
In case you missed it, HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. just announced new dietary guidelines promoting whole foods, proteins and healthy fats. As a frequent critic of Kennedy’s behavior and anti-vaccination policies, I’m surprised to say this, but … well, you’ve got to hand it to Bobby on this one.
“Protein and healthy fats are essential and were wrongly discouraged in prior dietary guidelines,” Kennedy said during a press conference on Wednesday. “The new framework centers on protein and healthy fats, vegetables, fruits and whole grains.
