Nothing says “hope and change” quite like bulldozing a beloved public park for a 235-foot phallic tower dedicated to oneself. Welcome to the Obama Presidential Center (OPC), an $830 million (and rising) vanity project in Chicago’s historic Jackson Park. The man who once preached community organizing couldn’t find a single non-park site in his hometown for his monument. I get angry every time I see a story about this thing. I don't see it as a 'middle' finger. It is more like an index finger. Remember when obama---at some gathering of islamists, muslims, and other terrorists---gestured to the crowd with a raised index finger? I do. They sometimes make that salute. At the time someone suggested that he did it to signify his solidarity with those who worship 'the ONE'. It will make a good minaret too. Or a flak tower.

#2...actually it's only been really horrible since 2011 when Rahm Emanuel was elected and Obama able to influence all kind and crazy harmful policies that have lead to the destruction or once great city. After the fire, the brilliant city planners led by Daniel Burnham and a team of the most gifted architects determined to change the reputation of the city from a hick shanty town to a city in that could compete with New York for business. Burham knew the preserving the Lakefront was key. He said "The lakefront by right belongs to the people” and should be “forever free and clear, accessible at all times to the people.” Only twenty years after fire destroyed the city, Chicago invited the World's Columbian Exposition. The parks we designed by Fredrick Olmstead and we a declared by all as his "masterpiece." The Obama atrocity has betrayed the citizens and robbed us of or birthright. Obama lived here for while being groomed the father of Bill Ayers. He's no real Chicagoan. His buddy Rahm defrauded Chicago tax payers into footing the entire debacle. Now our beautiful city has been "fundamentally transformed" in the disaster it is today.

25 years ago, I happened to be in Austin TX and went to the LBJ library. There was a wing for Lady Bird about her childhood, wild flowers, the daughters etc. I'm wondering if there will be a wing about MO. Yup, un-doctored photos of her childhood, high school Senior photo, dressed in her Easter finery. A stunning new report from the University of California, San Diego, reveals that incoming college students are less prepared for their classes than ever. The steep decline in academic readiness among its first-year students is particularly noticeable in mathematics. The UCSD paper shows that between 2020 and 2025, the number of students with math skills below high school level increased nearly thirtyfold. Additionally, 70% of these students are below the middle school level.

Minnesota’s Governor Tim Walz — Kamala Harris’s former aw-shucks VP sidekick — now faces a scandal so colossal it could swallow the state budget whole. Over 480 Department of Human Services (DHS) employees have blown the whistle, accusing Walz of masterminding a cover-up for a Somali immigrant-led fraud ring that siphoned more than $1 billion from social programs. That’s billion with a B — stolen through COVID relief scams, fake autism diagnoses, and Medicaid kickbacks, with funds funneled overseas, including to Al-Shabaab terrorists. One standout grifter, 29-year-old Asha Farhan Hassan, allegedly pocketed $14 million alone from programs meant for vulnerable kids.

Ken Burns is giving a history of the American Revolution replete with leftist narratives unmoored from facts. In Episode 1, Burns erroneously claims that the driving force of the American Revolution was to steal Indian land. In Episode 2, the narrative is slavery and the evil colonists, including George Washington. After defaming George Washington, Burns adopts the canard that slavery was a cause of the American Revolution, and portrays slavery as an unchallenged colonial evil, ignoring the colonies’ abolitionist movement, a world first.

How bad is the Somali fraud scandal, in which the State of Minnesota allowed Somalis to rip off the system to the tune of $1 billion, some of them using the cash to bankroll Al Shabaab terrorism? This bad: Minnesota's largely Democrat bureaucrats are publicly blaming Walz. According to Fox News: More than 400 employees of the Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) accused Gov. Tim Walz of failing to act on widespread fraud warnings and retaliating against whistleblowers. The Minnesota Department of Human Service Employees account, which says it consists of more than 480 current staff members at the Minnesota DHS, wrote on X that Walz is "100% responsible for massive fraud

Alexander Kueng—there is finally a serious, well-constructed challenge to the verdicts in those cases. Attorney Greg Joseph has filed an appeal that directly confronts what he argues were grave judicial and prosecutorial abuses, as well as violations of the officers’ civil rights. The Epstein scandal is taking center stage and evolving rapidly. It started as a grim tale of sex trafficking and exploitation, and morphed into a partisan battleground. The Epstein Transparency Act nearly unanimously passed the House and then cleared the Senate via unanimous consent shortly thereafter. A discharge petition in the House bypassed leadership and forced a vote on the transparency bill. The bill passed with a tally of 427-1, compelling the DoJ to disclose Epstein-related materials within 30 days, excluding victim identities and explicit content like child pornography. Should America’s constitutional republic ever fall, the most likely cause of death will be its corrupt institutions. When citizens lose faith in the “system” and have exhausted all available remedies to “fix” that “system,” they will feel wholly disconnected from the government that rules over them. A cascade of institutional crises will exacerbate public distrust in the “system” until the “system’s” legitimacy collapses. Should that foreboding and chaotic event come, a primary driver will have been the public’s complete loss of faith in the courts of the United States.
