What a Week!

This was an incredible week for news, and I am going to discuss just three of what I consider the most important events: The ongoing investigations and criminal indictments; the shutdown of the government, and the ceasefire and return of the hostages in Gaza. The Ongoing Criminal Investigations Letitia James, the New York attorney general who confected a criminal case for financial fraud against President Trump has herself been charged with criminal mortgage frauds. Former head of the FBI James Comey has been indicted by a Virginia grand jury for making a false statement to Congress and obstructing a congressional investigation. Reasoned speculation is that former national security adviser John Bolton

What a week indeed, but I hate the thought of President Trump going to the Middle East! AF One is a huge target for ground to air missiles and I put NOTHING past those murdering savages over there! God be with you, Mr. President.

FTA: "Will Gaza overnight become peaceful and prosperous? Not likely -- reports are they are already executing each other in the streets." Interesting...This is mentioned almost as if that is a "Bad Thing"?

Obamacare needs to be repealed, not fixed. The Pubs are in charge! No excuses not to get rid of this terrible fallacy. FTA- the agencies that saw some 4K employers fired are "Health and Human Services (HHS), Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the Cybersecurity Infrastructure Agency (CISA), the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the Department of Education, the Department of Housing and Urban Development, the Treasury Department, and the Internal Revenue Service (IRS)." What percent did they each lose? Less than one percent? All these agencies could be deleted, and most of US wouldn't feel it. Except the IRS! We'd all be jumping for joy if that one went away. I'm sure we could come up with an even longer list, and still wouldn't feel a smidgen of pain.

We could treat our veterans better by NOT sending them to unnecessary wars. In my seventy years we have sent our soldiers to too many failing countries to fight and die for things that are not any concern to US. We are not heroes. We are not saviors. We’ve entered countries which never invited us in, and which have nothing to give us in return for our blood and sacrifice. We have veterans, permanently crippled, mentally ill, men who have lost their lives for nothing that has helped US. Our aid programs should be held under scrutiny by accountable agencies. When we know where aid dollars go, theres accountability. Secret programs by the CI _A should not be funded for five years. Too many of these are used to put illegal drugs on our streets, and to prop up governments that do not support the freedom of the citizens and needs of these countries. Defunding war and intrusive and sick outreach to foreign countries need to be reigned in. This will produce a chain reaction to lower health care costs and the massive financial waste and destruction that war brings. It will reduce destruction of our environment, and free third world countries to give more rights to their own citizens, allowing them to sole their own problems by their own sovereignty.

Wow, Clarice is on fire this week. She started out with "just three" topics and completely covered the progress of the week, which is a virtual mountain. Trump achieved everything that he attempted while his detractors claimed that he was "snubbed" in not receiving his well-earned peace prize. Nobody cares what the Nobel Committee does because they have proven their product to be worthless when they decided to worship at the Altar of Obama, which is nothing but a pile of straw that would not even build a decent hut in Kenya.

I think my favorite of her listing of Deep State crooks who are facing potential or real eonsequences is.... "Paul Sperry reports that Mueller deputy Andrew Weissman is among those under scrutiny for participation in a judicial proceeding in which he had a financial interest. Weissmann has been a persistent, vicious and evil presence in the Deep State for several decades. He should wind up disbarred and in prison.

In 2018, President Trump was riding high on a wave of winning. Republicans had never had it so good, but Democrat operatives plotted their comeback, flooding Republican-held Congressional districts where Hillary Clinton had won. Millions poured into Orange County, California, as Democrats sensed an opportunity to flip Congressional seats blue for the first time in decades, if not in history. Gavin Newsom, then the Lieutenant Governor, was campaigning for Governor, shoring up all the support he could for Democrats running for Congress across Orange County, including Katie Porter, a law professor from UC Irvine. A fat, squat character actress of a candidate, no one could imagine this hog winning anything.

Something seemed off during Kamala Harris’s latest MSNBC appearance over the weekend. When asked whether she had spoken to Joe Biden after news broke that he would begin radiation treatments for prostate cancer, Kamala stumbled through a strangely awkward exchange. MSNBC’s Eugene Daniels gently tried to draw out a warm or reassuring response. Instead, what viewers got was a revealing moment that felt almost uncomfortable. “Have you talked to him, um, about it?” Daniels asked. “Yeah, no, I, I called him earlier,” Kamala said. “How’s he doing?” Daniels followed up. “I have not talked to him,” she admitted. “I just left him a message… after I heard the news.”

A murder investigation is underway following the arrests of Rashid Gedel, 25, and Samuel Dodsworth, 43, West Yorkshire Police said in a statement. Joe Biden's post-presidency has been rough, to put it mildly. Nearly nine months after Donald Trump reclaimed the White House, Biden is holed up in Wilmington, Delaware, grappling with a reality that must feel like political exile. He's dealing not just with the sting of losing power, but also the inability to sell access and enrich his family. Though he won’t admit to the latter. The irony couldn’t be thicker. After years of attacking Trump and using the Justice Department in a desperate bid to put his successor behind bars, Biden now finds himself being told by his own advisers to stay quiet and act like a traditional ex-president.

It is bittersweet: good to have the remaining hostages returned, bad that Hamas still exists. Whether any of the remaining points of President Trump’s peace plan are ever implemented, remains to be seen. But memesters gave Trump credit for saving the lives that could be saved. An elated mother of one of the freed Israeli hostages was able to video chat with her son for the first time since he was taken captive by Hamas during the Oct. 7 attack on Israel. Democrats spent years insisting that providing free healthcare to illegal immigrants was a moral imperative. They haven’t exactly kept that a secret. During the 2020 Democratic presidential primaries, every single candidate promised their healthcare plans would cover healthcare for illegals. Now, though, they've shut down the federal government to protect funding streams for these programs—but are pretending that’s not what they are after. Nevertheless, we know what their objectives are. But their crusade to give free healthcare to illegals has hit a bit of a snag. Faced with exploding costs and healthcare systems on the brink of collapse, blue state governors are quietly pulling the plug on their own sacred cow.

As a House delegate, Holmes Norton can vote on bills when they are in committee but cannot cast final floor votes. As of Sept. 30, Norton's campaign had just $6,477.50 in cash on hand and is $90,000 in debt to Norton, who personally loaned her reelection committee money

Democrats shut down the government partly to force Republicans to extend COVID-era boosts in Obamacare subsidies that Dems once called “temporary” but now say are needed to keep the program viable. This reveals what a true disaster Obamacare has been, as its critics warned even as Dems were ramming it into law with not a single Republican vote in 2010. Blindly tossing fresh trillions down that hole is nuts: Time to fix it — or scrap it altogether. The 10-year cost of Dems’ current demand totals almost a half-trillion dollars, to benefit primarily insurers and wealthier Americans. Under the expiration that Democrats wrote into law, 1.6 million Americans (just 0.5% of the population)

Here’s how the game works. In Trump’s first administration, radical federal judges just issued rulings blocking government actions. As the second term admin has been more aggressive about pursuing Supreme Court interventions, federal district judges are issuing frivolous rulings intended to barrage SCOTUS with a constant need to intervene. And that’s followed by complaints to the media that the Supreme Court is seizing too much power and undermining the judiciary.
