Florida county school board chair Sarah Rockwell apologized for Facebook comments celebrating legendary wrestler Hulk Hogan’s death on Thursday as "one less MAGA" in the world. "Oh did Hulk die? I didn’t even know. Good. One less MAGA in the world," Rockwell’s since-deleted comment read. In a follow-up comment, Rockwell added, "[H]e worked with the McMahons to union bust professional wrestling. [H]e’s never been a good guy. I feel absolutely nothing about his death." It's funny how Dems never get caught saying something kind, compassionate, or thoughtful. Ugly thoughts celebrating death always seems to be on the tip of their tongues.

Ms. Rockwell- Regarding the link to a news item I saw: https://www.foxnews.com/media/florida-county-school-board-chair-deletes-comments-celebrating-hulk-hogans-death-one-less-maga Your comments regarding the sudden passing of Terry Bollea (Hulk Hogan) are a disgrace. While I appreciate your apology, your underlying thought process is a disgrace. I don't believe you have the right to continue serving on the Alachua school board. It is clear that your likely don't have the proper family values required for this position. Further, the children you serve have now learned a new example (as if we needed another) of hate towards those with whom you disagree. In this case, it is politics but now we wonder what else drives your animus against others. The website of the Alachua County School board states the following: "The Alachua County Public Schools District does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, gender, age, disability (Section 504/ADA) sexual orientation, gender identity or marital status genetics or legally-protected characteristics in its educational programs, services or activities, or in its hiring or employment practices." Apparently, the term "political ideology" needs to be added to this list. I believe you should resign your position immediately for the good of your community and the children in your district. Democrats seem to be so soulless, from local to national politicians. Family tradition, a misplaced belief in the rectitude of Democrats of the past (Truman, Humphrey, JFK and Bobby come to mind), and an exaggerated foundational belief they are the “smart,” party seem to drive most of their rank and file members. It’s certainly not the kind of raw intelligence, critical thinking and skepticism that have traditionally described Americans. Certainly the revelations about President Obama cannot be dismissed; even as he is protected every shell falling within his few meters of ground will eventually disabuse even the most credulous of the caliber of men and women Democrats choose to lead them.

This is one reason that modern students receive such a poor education in most schools. When the rot begins at the head of the school board, it permeates down through the teaching staff and into the classroom. Hate and leftist politics win out over education. Why are school boards so overloaded with leftists? I once attempted to become a school board member and soon found that it's a viciously closed system, even in small towns.

It seems that people come in two varieties: those with empathy (essentially, love for others), and those whose hearts are cold. Rockwell, the Alachua County school board chair, is in the latter category, and should have damaged her career beyond repair. We'll see what happens to her now. Trump supporters in Gainesville will know she has little regard for them. She should find another line of work. Terry Bollea (Hulk Hogan), who lived near here, definitely liked people, and always had time for his fans. Over the last forty years I've seen him driving the opposite direction a few times, the most unmistakable looking individual I ever saw. The one time I met him, in 2007 at a Benihana's in Key West near the airport, he posed for a picture with my best friend's sister, and small talked with us. I think it was important for him to show his appreciation of his fans. Similarly to Arnold Palmer, who also loved people, he never let them down. Over the weekend, I saw a film of Hulk's baptism by immersion from two years ago. For him, baptism and declaration of faith was in the natural progression of his life. He was dressed in the same type of white smock I wore when my pastor, also in a white smock, dunked me beneath the (warm) water in late 1995. Hulk Hogan is my brother in Christ! He left us too soon, but we're glad to have had him around as long as we did. We'll see him again in the next life.

Her original post, when she thought no one was really paying attention is what she really feels, thinks and believes. That post is who she is. She’s been very vocal about U.S. policy toward Mexico. For example, she said she would offer legal counsel to her citizens that were here illegally that were picked up, she thought, unfairly or too violently by Immigration and Customs Enforcement. She also said that the United States had no business taxing remittances—that is money that Mexican nationals here, for the most part illegally, send back to Mexico. WASHINGTON — Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has privately discussed the idea of running for political office next year in Tennessee, according to two people who have spoken directly with him about it. If Hegseth were to follow through on the discussions, it would amount to a major leadership shake-up at the department that oversees the American military and millions of federal employees. The Defense Department bars civilian employees from running for political office, meaning Hegseth would have to resign to do so. In a statement, Sean Parnell, the Pentagon’s chief spokesman, said, “Hegseth’s focus remains solely on serving under President Trump.”

The former House speaker had joined the program to discuss the 60th anniversary of Medicaid, but things quickly went off-script when Tapper tried to bring up Trump’s pointed remarks. Tapper began to quote Trump, saying, “Nancy Pelosi became rich—” before Pelosi abruptly cut him off. “Why—why do you have to read that?” she snapped, clearly not happy with where the discussion was going. Tapper attempted to defuse the tension, saying he just wanted

McDermott Distinguished Chair within the school’s Department of Social Sciences. Easterly graduated from West Point in 1990.Easterly led CISA from July 2021 to January 2025, a time period during which she oversaw the agency’s efforts to censor Americans.
