On Monday night, U.S. District Court Judge Indira Talwani ordered the Trump administration to break the law, ignore a Supreme Court order, and give Planned Parenthood money that is not authorized by Congress. In fact, Congress said don't give Planned Parenthood money. (snip.) Need I sat this power-mad Judge Doom is an Obama appointee? Well, she is. The Big Beautiful Bill is now the law. (snip.) Judges are not members of state bar associations, which have no jurisdiction to discipline them. Federal court judges can be impeached. Just round up 67 senators.

Harry Reid, the former Democrat leader of the U.S. Senate, left the Senate in 2017 and died in 2021, but his ghost must still be haunting the chamber. How else can one explain why the Republican majority is continuing the blockade Reid initiated back in 2007 to prevent a Republican President (George W. Bush) from using recess appointments to get around the various roadblocks Reid put in place to delay confirming Bush's nominees?

Democrats, Animated by Loathing of Trump,

The Democrats are now implacably self-destructive. They resemble nothing so much as a slowly capsizing ship, but show by their frenzied skullduggery that America is not in decline -- the opposition is rotten and hopeless but it still fights savagely. I hope readers will pardon a recitation of the party's gradual floundering. They pushed the nation into Vietnam, mismanaged the war, and deserted their own president (Lyndon Johnson), and when President Nixon saved their war, they crucified him on what can now be seen as the utterly absurd Watergate nonsense.

On the eve of the 2020 election, FBI agents discussed an active money-laundering case against Hunter Biden just hours after casting doubt on the authenticity of the incriminating laptop during meetings with social media companies, according to newly redacted FBI chat logs obtained by Sen. Chuck Grassley. The FBI's refusal to confirm the laptop's existence and instead allow a false narrative to take hold that it was Russian disinformation came on the same day that The Post published bombshell emails from the device revealing Joe Biden's involvement in his son's lucrative influence-peddling schemes when he was vice president.

A longtime aide to former President Joe Biden admitted that the White House staff felt justified doing 'undemocratic things' because they believed President Donald Trump posed an existential threat to American democracy. The revelation came during an appearance by Axios reporter Alex Thompson on “Fox News Sunday” with Shannon Bream, where he discussed insider accounts from his reporting on the Biden administration. Thompson described a mindset inside the White House — one in which unelected aides saw themselves as the real decision makers while shielding Biden from scrutiny and managing the presidency behind the scenes

Although the President often touts his first term appointments to the court, the Trump appointees -- particularly Justices Kavanaugh and Barrett -- have often proven to be meddlesome obstacles to the implementation of his populist MAGA agenda.

A Stanford University-led study estimates that COVID-19 vaccinations saved 2.5 million lives from 2020 to 2024, about 17 million fewer than earlier reports suggested, primarily among older adults. That’s the equivalent of one death averted for every 5,400 vaccine doses administered worldwide during the period, according to the findings published Friday in JAMA Health Forum. Official estimates say 7 million people died from the virus worldwide in those years. Led by three Stanford researchers, the study noted that 90% of the lives saved were among people 60 or older, and 82% stemmed from vaccinations administered before they tested positive for COVID.

Unpopular opinion: all Muslim immigration should come to an end. When President Trump first called for a pause in Muslim migration he was met with hysteria. Yet despite the hysteria has Islamic immigration truly enhanced and contributed to this country? The answer is undoubtedly "no." Zohran Mamdani proves that while not all Islamic immigrants are terrorists, their values are not in line with America. Zohran Mamdani, who was born in Uganda and became an American citizen just seven years ago, is a cautionary tale of the dangers of third-world Muslim immigration. Despite having benefited from the American dream, all he can seem to do is advocate for anti-American ideology.

A sheriff’s deputy arrived within minutes and took the man into custody, and people in the store also helped apprehend the suspect and treat victims, the sheriff’s office said. The victims’ ages weren’t immediately released.

President Volodymyr Zelensky’s anticorruption policies have already provoked Ukraine’s first antigovernment protests since the Russian invasion in 2022. Now, it seems, they may cost the country a portion of its foreign aid from the European Union, in a clear rebuke from the bloc, once a staunch ally. The European Union said on Friday that it would withhold 1.5 billion euros, or $1.7 billion, from an overall fund of 4.5 billion euros whose disbursement is dependent on achieving good governance standards and that can’t be used for military purchases. James Wasserstrom, an American anticorruption expert, said in an interview that “the luster is definitely coming off” Mr. Zelensky’s wartime leadership

Pinsker Law of PR #83: “Intensity” and “popularity” aren’t the same thing, but if you spend most of your time online, intensity and popularity become utterly indistinguishable. As such, you miss the forest for the trees. Most political reporters aren’t pounding the pavement anymore, knocking on doors and buying dinner for on-the-fence sources in seedy dive bars. That era of journalism is deader than the dodo. Nowadays, reporters live, breathe, and work online; their “sources” are the voices, texts, and emails popping up on their phones.

He was reportedly gathering with a group of gangsters, including Anthony “Tony Pro” Provenzano, a New Jersey-based capo for the Genovese crime family, and Detroit mob boss Anthony “Tony Jack” Giacalone.
