Here’s a controversial one for you. A far-right group called Return to the Land (RTTL) has built a whites-only community in northeastern Arkansas and is planning to expand this concept to Missouri. RTTL characterizes itself as a “private membership association, (PMA)” according to The Independent. The objective is to build a refuge for folks with “traditional views and European ancestry.” (SKIP) The group bans nonwhites, LGBTQ people, and non-Christians from living in its community.

Comments:

Unfortunately, no one who wants to live there is eligible to live there. You cannot be a Christian and choose where you live so that you do not live with non-Christians. Jesus told us to go and make disciples of all the world. Those who choose to live in this place are not following Jesus.

Not sure this is a good idea. But I don't live in Arkansas so guess it's none of my business.

Why not just call themselves the KKK and wear pointy white hoods? And these are sure not Christians. Leastwise none I recognize, and I suspect God doesn't either.

It's called private property and freedom of association. It's ok for any race to do it --- except whites. If the government wants to set the rules on privately owned land, let them buy it.

I agree with #3. If the Blacks can have their "hoods" and the Hispanics their "barrios", why can't white people have their own enclaves? Free association used to be a bedrock liberty.

There is danger in allowing this kind of thinking to take root. Tolerance has the potential of creeping to acceptance. This should be banned legally. But then so should the Congressional Black Caucus!

This is obviously against federal law and having the idea gives white Christians a black eye. I guess Dems have been asking for discrimination for years by treating certain special groups with more rights than whites, so I’m not surprised.

This will not be allowed to succeed. Despite all of the virtue signalers and KKK accusers there are a lot of decent God fearing white people who would like to live in a community such as this. Despite all of the accusations about racism it isn't about racism, they want safety for themselves and their kids., and they want a community they can live in and be proud of. This community would grow and expand if it were allowed and that is why it cannot be allowed.

I don't know about this. On the one hand, I recall reading somewhere about Freedom of Association (that pesky 1st Amendment), but on the other hand, people who engage in this sort of thing tend to be really small minded with one foot in tyranny.

No thanks. First question I have about the group leader: Is he a greedy power-hungry tyrant? According to the article he favors Hitler. Not sure how religious the group is, but there is only one God and literally thousands of religions. Doubt I would support their religion. Do they believe they are better than everyone that is non-white and non-Christian. Personally, I don't think anyone is superior. How much are they fueled by hate. Show me a group that believes they are superior, and I will show you a group fueled by hate. With hatred comes violence. Btw, this isn't about race or equality, this is about civil behavior. The government won't give this group a pass. The only regrettable thing is how our government doesn't hold non-white non-Christian hate groups to the same standard.

This is news only because its being done by whites. It was a local news story when 19 black families founded "Freedom GA". And surprise, the Amish have been doing it since the 1700's. What these whites are doing is perfectly legal. And they have a constitutional right to be mouth breathing, window licking, knuckle dragging moronic racists. I also have a constitutional right to mock them, have nothing to do with them and refuse to do business with them.

Have to say, that many of these responses surprise me. “Far right,” Jeff? We remain at a cultural disadvantage as long as we accept the premises of the left. There is nothing to say that this group refuses to have any dealings with those outside their enclave. They just want to live in a safe community that focuses on their priorities. Nuns and priests live in cloistered communities, yet no one considers them “un-Christian.”

Something remarkable is unfolding across America. The once-unquestioned reverence for expert opinion — from polished T.V. pundits to Ivy League data wizards — is crumbling. Despite all the doomsaying, this collapse might just be the healthiest thing to have happened in public life for generations on end. What, exactly, is taking place? A lot of things. Americans’ trust in scientists has declined since April 2020, dropping from 87% to 73% by Fall 2023, particularly among Republicans.

For decades, the United States stood as the embodiment of capitalism’s promise—an open market economy where innovation, investment, and individual enterprise fueled not just prosperity, but unprecedented global power. Throughout the 20th century, the U.S. leveraged its financial systems, corporate reach, technological leadership, and cultural influence to build an international order shaped largely in its image. China studied that success story—and decided to rewrite it.

Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) survived a brutal character assassination attempt. He’s not going anywhere, though his staff might, because young Democrats are raging antisemites, woke acolytes, and all-around insane. Fetterman is a committed liberal; he’s not a conservative. But to the younger crowd, he might as well be a Nazi, especially with his ardent support for Israel. He also thinks that striking Iran’s nuclear facilities should be on the table, but that’s another matter.

The political world spends a lot of time discussing former President Donald Trump's lead over the Republican field in national polls -- currently at 45.4%, according to the RealClearPolitics average of polls. But, of course, the race will unfold as a series of state contests, beginning in Iowa on Jan. 15, New Hampshire on Jan. 23, Nevada on Feb. 8 and South Carolina on Feb. 24. By then, Republicans should have a pretty good idea who their 2024 presidential nominee will be.

Regardless of any delusions you, I, or anyone else may harbor on this issue, the odds that Donald Trump will be saddled with at least one FELONY conviction out of the dozens he is currently charged with are exceedingly high. It doesn’t even matter whether the charges are with or without merit. If a firing squad is pointing 91 rounds at someone, at least one of them is gonna hit the target. This means that this time next year, instead of campaigning or even accepting the GOP nomination in person, the former president could either be in prison or on house arrest, playing golf with an ankle bracelet.

Though it is finally cooling, lingering effects are still seen with the cultural furor surrounding the beer brand Bud Light. In 2020, amid the Black Lives Matter upheaval seen across the country, companies were bending the knee on a regular basis. Many brands and corporations came out with statements and pledges about altering their practices and evolving their corporate structures, with "diversity" being thrown about in their mea culpa. Of course, lost in these self-congratulatory announcements was the unspoken admission they did not realize they were making: If you are promising to no longer be "racist," that means you are stating you had previously been a racist company.

What if the Democrat political masterminds (definitely not including our hapless president) believe that their best chance to hold the presidency in 2025 would be if Donald J. It’s possible that the Democrats’ decision to use COVID to gain a political advantage in the 2020 election and beyond may have triggered a powerful Black Swan event. Even as they succeeded in destroying the U.S. economy and weaponizing public schools, they may unintentionally have set the U.S. on a new and wonderfully beneficial path: Turning women into stay-at-home mothers who have removed their children from the state’s indoctrination. I don’t know whether the left, through Fauci, worked with China to create and release COVID.
