Here’s a controversial one for you. A far-right group called Return to the Land (RTTL) has built a whites-only community in northeastern Arkansas and is planning to expand this concept to Missouri.
RTTL characterizes itself as a “private membership association, (PMA)” according to The Independent. The objective is to build a refuge for folks with “traditional views and European ancestry.”
(SKIP)
The group bans nonwhites, LGBTQ people, and non-Christians from living in its community.

Not sure this is a good idea. But I don't live in Arkansas so guess it's none of my business.

Why not just call themselves the KKK and wear pointy white hoods? And these are sure not Christians. Leastwise none I recognize, and I suspect God doesn't either.

It's called private property and freedom of association. It's ok for any race to do it --- except whites. If the government wants to set the rules on privately owned land, let them buy it.

Make it muslims and it would be considered inclusive.

I agree with #3. If the Blacks can have their "hoods" and the Hispanics their "barrios", why can't white people have their own enclaves? Free association used to be a bedrock liberty.

How can they possibly ban anyone based on race? That’s surely a flagrant violation of federal and state civil rights and fair housing laws.

To paraphrase Willy Sutton, people want to move to white areas because that's where the money is. Not to mention low crime statistics.

There is danger in allowing this kind of thinking to take root. Tolerance has the potential of creeping to acceptance. This should be banned legally. But then so should the Congressional Black Caucus!

Good for them. I wish them well. It seems wise to exclude people from your society who would undermine it. The rest of our society isn't doing so well, but nobody will even identify let alone confront the 800 lb gorilla in the room.

This is obviously against federal law and having the idea gives white Christians a black eye. I guess Dems have been asking for discrimination for years by treating certain special groups with more rights than whites, so I’m not surprised.

This will not be allowed to succeed.
Despite all of the virtue signalers and KKK accusers there are a lot of decent God fearing white people who would like to live in a community such as this.
Despite all of the accusations about racism it isn't about racism, they want safety for themselves and their kids., and they want a community they can live in and be proud of.
This community would grow and expand if it were allowed and that is why it cannot be allowed.

I don't know about this. On the one hand, I recall reading somewhere about Freedom of Association (that pesky 1st Amendment), but on the other hand, people who engage in this sort of thing tend to be really small minded with one foot in tyranny.

No thanks. First question I have about the group leader: Is he a greedy power-hungry tyrant? According to the article he favors Hitler. Not sure how religious the group is, but there is only one God and literally thousands of religions. Doubt I would support their religion. Do they believe they are better than everyone that is non-white and non-Christian. Personally, I don't think anyone is superior. How much are they fueled by hate. Show me a group that believes they are superior, and I will show you a group fueled by hate. With hatred comes violence. Btw, this isn't about race or equality, this is about civil behavior.
The government won't give this group a pass. The only regrettable thing is how our government doesn't hold non-white non-Christian hate groups to the same standard.

Does the Black Congressional Caucus allow white members? Didn’t think so. So where is the outrage over this blatant racism? Oh sorry I forgot only white people are guilty of racism. Totally fed up with the double hypocritical racism crap.

This is news only because its being done by whites. It was a local news story when 19 black families founded "Freedom GA".
And surprise, the Amish have been doing it since the 1700's.
What these whites are doing is perfectly legal. And they have a constitutional right to be mouth breathing, window licking, knuckle dragging moronic racists. I also have a constitutional right to mock them, have nothing to do with them and refuse to do business with them.

Have to say, that many of these responses surprise me. “Far right,” Jeff? We remain at a cultural disadvantage as long as we accept the premises of the left. There is nothing to say that this group refuses to have any dealings with those outside their enclave. They just want to live in a safe community that focuses on their priorities. Nuns and priests live in cloistered communities, yet no one considers them “un-Christian.”

Unfortunately, no one who wants to live there is eligible to live there. You cannot be a Christian and choose where you live so that you do not live with non-Christians. Jesus told us to go and make disciples of all the world. Those who choose to live in this place are not following Jesus.
