Hey, GOP: Senate Parliamentarian Isn’t Binding

Important newsflash for the Senate GOP: the recommendations of the woke Senate parliamentarian, who is trying to ensure that absolutely no financial reform is enacted, are not binding. Senate Majority Leader John Thune has said he’s not going to challenge the outrageous decisions of the Senate Parliamentarian, and no doubt he’d like you to believe there’s no option otherwise. That is simply untrue. There are multiple ways of overruling the unelected Senate Parliamentarian Elizabeth MacDonough’s decisions. As voters, it’s very important we understand the legal realities of our system and not give our elected representatives a pass just because they claimed helplessness. As The Washington Examiner explained,

Comments:

And JD Vance, as President of the Senate, can overrule both the parliamentarian and Thune!! Sounds like this step will be needed.

Just saying. If the Parlimentarian in office had been originally appointed by a Republican, you can well be sure that the day the Democrats took control of the Senate, that officer and any Republican appointee at or above the level of restroom janitor would be dismissed and loyalists and others who would be expected to do the bidding of "leaders" such as Chuckie Schumer, Robert KKK Byrd, or Harry Crooked Reid would be in those positions by noon that day.

FTA: Congressional Republicans have a tendency to back down from vitally important fights they can win.' And not just those. The Repubcapons are the timid sidekick of the the Senate Commiecrats. They blather on and on. They write stern letters. They never enforce same. How about this: JD: Ms MacDonut, you're dismissed! M: you can't do that! JD: It's done. Thune is just the latest tool.

It's amazing how much of our Government has been defaulted to Democrat ideology. This position should either disappear or be at the perogative of the Senate majority, NOT given an apparently life-long appointment by the next Democrat majority leader. They have as much power the way it stands as the entire Congress.

Why should an unelected democrat be allowed to decide what can or cannot be done by republican lawmakers and administration? Why won't the most powerful senator override her decisions to gut the most important bill to benefit the American people that we've seen in ages? Why wasn't she replaced as soon as the republicans had the majority? Is she there to provide cover for their cowardice? Are they really so short-sighted and selfish to veto the votes of the American people and the agenda of the President? Are we going to be shown once again that the people we elected to represent us think we are beneath them and our concerns do not matter? Any way you look at it this is insane. But God...

Hey New Yorkers. I heard you're probably going to get an outright communist as your mayor. Zohran Mamdani sounds like a real peach, and the fact that he won the Democrat Primary and is well on his way to the mayor's office has made many of you fire up your Zillow account and start looking for homes out of state. I don't blame you, but let me offer you some advice. You're probably going to be tempted to come to Texas because so many companies have moved here, and you feel like you could easily land a job. I could see why you'd think that,

Americans woke up this morning to a reminder that our military isn’t merely watching the world’s villains – it is methodically, relentlessly preparing to annihilate them when the moment of decision comes. From the Pentagon podium, Brigadier General Raisin Caine laid out the story of two quietly legendary Defense Threat Reduction Agency officers who, the very day Iran began carving the Fordow enrichment plant into a mountainside, accepted a life‑long mission: figure out how to bury it for good. They “dreamt about it at night as they slept,” Caine said, “they thought about it driving back and forth to work”. For fifteen years they kept the faith, speaking of it to no one,

Zohran Mamdani, who won the Democratic mayoral primary on Tuesday, will not be able to keep Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) away from the city if he wins the general election, according to border czar Tom Homan. Mamdani has promised to “stop ICE agents from deporting our neighbors.” “Well, good luck with that,” Homan said. “I mean, matter of fact, the president made it clear we're going to double down and triple down [on] sanctuary cities. And why is that? It isn't to attack blue cities. It's because they're [a] sanctuary city. We know for a fact they're releasing public safety threats and national security threats back to the streets every day.

You have to love how passionate President Trump is about pursuing peace and building a better world—no equivocation, no double-talk. Friend and foe alike, he calls balls and strikes. And in this latest Israel–Iran crisis, he’s put his signature, clear-cut leadership on full display. Over the past 12 days, a dramatic escalation erupted between Israel and Iran. Israel struck Iranian nuclear facilities—Fordow, Natanz, Isfahan—using U.S. B‑2 bombers and Tomahawks, claiming the sites were “completely and totally obliterated.” Iran retaliated with missile attacks, including a controversial strike on a U.S. base in Qatar and rockets that reportedly killed 28 civilians in Beersheba. Casualties across both nations reached grim totals—

Florida is about to make a bold statement in the ongoing national debate over illegal immigration, and it’s not just talk — it’s action. The Sunshine State is rolling out a new approach that’s as tough as it is practical: setting up a string of detention centers specifically for illegal immigrants with criminal records. The centerpiece of this initiative is a facility tucked deep in the Everglades, built on the bones of an abandoned airfield, and already earning an unforgettable nickname from state officials: “Alligator Alcatraz.” The name isn’t just for show. Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier made it clear that this is no ordinary detention center.

The U.S. Supreme Court on Friday handed down its ruling in the parental rights case of Mahmoud v. Taylor. In a 6-3 decision, SCOTUS decided that parents do have the right to opt their elementary school-aged (pre-K through 8th grade) children out of classroom instruction that may include materials on gender and sexuality. The three dissenters were Justices Elena Kagan, Sonia Sotomayor, and Ketanji Brown Jackson. Writing for the majority, Justice Samuel Alito states that the parents involved were likely to succeed in their claim that the school system, by not allowing the opt-out on LGBTQ-themed classroom activities, was an unconstitutional burden on their religious liberties.

Democrats are uneasy about Socialist candidate Zohran Mamdani’s recent victory in the Democratic primary for New York City mayor, and nowhere was that discomfort more obvious than in House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries’ evasive response when an anchor pressed him about Mamdani’s ideology. Instead of addressing the question, Jeffries pivoted hard, steering the conversation away from Mamdani entirely, and onto — you guessed it — Donald Trump.

As RedState reported, the Trump administration scored a major victory on Friday after the Supreme Court ruled that district court-level nationwide injunctions exceeded judicial authority. That will throw a wrench into the left-wing strategy of seeking universal relief in a select few left-wing jurisdictions across the country and hopefully return some actual balance to the separation of powers within the U.S. government. Of course, while the decision was a victory for common sense and for voters who would prefer judges not overstep their bounds to essentially operate as president, it was a defeat for Democrats who have relied on that abuse to remain in power even when they lose.
