Democrats are uneasy about Socialist candidate Zohran Mamdani’s recent victory in the Democratic primary for New York City mayor, and nowhere was that discomfort more obvious than in House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries’ evasive response when an anchor pressed him about Mamdani’s ideology. On MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” Joe Scarborough put Jeffries on the spot, asking him if Mamdani’s far-left views on economic issues and Israel were the kind of ideology Democrats should embrace in 2026. Instead of addressing the question, Jeffries pivoted hard, steering the conversation away from Mamdani entirely, and onto — you guessed it — Donald Trump.

The Democrats are panicky about Mamdani's views, only that he speaks too openly about them.

This guy should be nowhere managing a city. He should be no more than a lowly manager in a small department, or be a social worker, at best. He would need close supervision. Doesn’t appear know much about math. You need to be a CEO type to run a huge operation. Like Trump is.

Democrats are panicking because their policies are causing them to lose control of the people they managed to dumb down and control. Those people are now migrating to people who promise them even more free stuff even though they can never deliver. Dems never planned for this consequence of dumbing down the population and importing uneducated illegals.

So he says he would arrest Netanyahu if N visits the United Nations?! Were Z to be elected, that will be reason enough to move the UN to South Sudan. Plenty of cheap building sites available, and I"m sure the Rockefeller Foundation would spring for the cost of a new Temple of Treachery.

Hello! Bernie is a socialist. Most of their party is socialist-marxist, definitely far left. They're panicking because it's so in your face, and this guy is probably a really dangerous socialist. He's not a Jewish socialist, so there's that. He scares even sneaky socialist lite them. I wonder who really convinced Adams to run as an independent?

Besides radical views, Zohran is only 33 years old. There is nothing in his background to indicate he could run a huge enterprise. New York was better off with mayors chosen in rooms clouded with cigar smoke and whiskey.

C'mon... Mamdani is... unburdened by what has been... and he will unburden those who are rich in NYC of their wealth... doesn't matter whether it was earned or not... he's a lucky sperm type (trust fund kid) himself, so do you think he cares whether you busted your butt for what you've accumulated? Nah... Cue the real life "Escape From New York"... life truly does imitate art sometimes...

Hopefully the RNC and all Republicans running for office in 2026 will link this person's radical views (to most of us sane and rational people) to all Democrats running for office, particularly their silence over the extreme views. As far as the comments mentioning the inexperience, the Democrats already showed they have the "people" to run the day to day, and they are okay with a figurehead (i.e. Joe Biden) sitting in the chair acting out the parts of the office. But it will be up to the Republicans to make people in the middle, in particular, question if they truly are aligned with the policies of today's Democrat party which is definitely in the socialist-democrat left wing end of the political spectrum.

The only problem I see is the number of idiotic voters in this country, especially NYC. If he got this far, he can go the distance, and with all the available illegal votes from communist countries' transplants, it's no contest for the left. America doesn't learn; in the place where over 2,000 fellow citizens were butchered, we tried to allow a mosque, and are now poised to elect a mayor who will convert the city into Londonistan. Can't feel at all sorry for New Yorkers and their misery -- present and future.

They did it. They finally did it. Those maniacs. They blew it up. As New Yorkers walk dazed through the streets of the world's greatest city, seeking perhaps the half-buried Statue of Liberty lying beneath the silent sands of adeserted beach in the Forbidden Zone, one thing has become clear: The young revolutionaries of the Democratic Party are ready to take control of their party's future. And there's hardly anyone left to stop them. On Tuesday, Zohran Mamdani, a 33-year-old Ugandan-born trust fund baby -- the scion of a Columbia University post-colonialism professor and an Oscar-nominated Hollywood director --

This week, Senator Ted Cruz chaired one of the most important hearings in the U.S. Senate has hosted in years: “Enter the Dragon—China and the Left’s Lawfare Against American Energy Dominance.” At a time when American energy producers are being targeted by a coordinated assault of litigation and foreign influence, this hearing was a long-overdue spotlight on the shadowy forces behind the war on domestic energy. Cruz, who chairs the Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on Federal Courts, Oversight, Agency Action, and Federal Rights, is uniquely positioned to probe the abuses at the intersection of law, politics, and global competition.

China is slowly steering the U.S. toward energy slavery. A Senate subcommittee led by Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, probed China’s methodical efforts to steer America toward total energy subservience to Beijing during a Wednesday afternoon hearing. The hearing revealed that Chinese-aligned entities have coopted climate lobbying and research in the U.S. Worse yet, this campaign of sabotage is abetted by a low profile effort to influence American judges, greasing the way for junk climate change lawsuits that will bankrupt American energy providers.

Khamenei spoke in a video broadcast on Iranian state television, his first appearance since June 19. He told viewers that the U.S. had only intervened in the war because “it felt that if it did not intervene, the Zionist regime would be utterly destroyed.” But he said, however, that the U.S. “achieved no gains from this war.

In his campaign for re-election, Mayor Eric Adams says he’s running on his record … against a guy who has no record. He’s referring, of course, to Zohran Mamdani, the 33-year-old socialist nepo baby who won this week’s Democratic primary. The State Assemblyman has barely held a job and has been absent for about 50% of Assembly votes. But it can’t be denied that Adams must defend his record. In September 2024, he earned the dubious distinction of becoming the first sitting New York City mayor hit with a federal indictment — accused of bribery and conspiracy. The case was dropped in April on orders from President Trump’s Department of Justice.

The word “badass” was bandied about a lot after the first assassination attempt on Donald Trump last year. Famously, the bloodied Republican candidate raised his fist in defiance. In a different context, the same pungent word applies to his 2 a.m. strike on Iranian nuclear facilities. Trump the TV star has a knack for the theatrical and grand gesture. That obviously matters in domestic politics, but in international affairs, too, where projecting strength and command are just as important. We don’t know where the war heads from here, and need to learn more about the damage that was inflicted. Still, it was an operation with a distinct and very useful element of Trump badassery.

President Trump caught the world off-guard Saturday by bombing three Iranian nuclear sites — after his apparently strategic deception indicating that such strikes weren’t imminent and trickery with the deployment of US Air Force B-2 bombers. Trump said Thursday he would make a decision in the “next two weeks” to allow more time for negotiations, giving the sense of reprieve amid fevered speculation he might join Israel’s airstrikes. “Based on the fact that there’s a substantial chance of negotiations that may or may not take place with Iran in the near future, I will make my decision whether or not to go within the next two weeks,”

Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei declared “the battle begins” in an ominous post Tuesday, hours after President Trump called for Iran’s “unconditional surrender.” “In the name of #Haider, the battle begins. Ali returns to #Khaybar with his Zulfiqar.” Khamenei wrote on X in Farsi, referring to Islam’s first imam, Ali, who won the Battle of Khaybar with the sword Zulfiqar. Khamenei’s sinister message comes hours after the Islamic Republic’s state media also warned of a “surprise” on Tuesday night into Wednesday that the “world will remember for centuries.” The Israeli Defense Force reported multiple air raid sirens in northern Israel early Wednesday morning due to a “hostile aircraft infiltration.”

In what I can only describe as a masterclass in political demolition, Rep. Elise Stefanik delivered a withering takedown of New York Gov. Kathy Hochul during a House committee hearing on sanctuary state policies. The exchange was so brutal and methodical that it may have effectively ended Hochul's political career before it even had a chance to flourish. Stefanik, who is reportedly considering a gubernatorial run herself, came armed with facts while Hochul appeared woefully unprepared to defend her own policies. From the opening moments, this wouldn't be a typical political theater exchange — this was a prosecutor methodically building her case against a defendant who had no viable defense.

Intercepted Iranian communications downplayed the extent of damage caused by US strikes on Iran's nuclear program, the Washington Post reported on Sunday, citing four people familiar with classified intelligence circulating within the US government. A source, who declined to be named, confirmed that account to Reuters but said there were serious questions about whether the Iranian officials were being truthful, and described the intercepts as unreliable indicators. The report by the Post is the latest, however, to raise questions about the extent of the damage to Iran's nuclear program. A leaked preliminary assessment from the Defense Intelligence Agency cautioned the strikes may have only set back Iran by months.

Now, with Mamdani on the rise, the city is bracing for a potential “exodus of billionaires” and a chilling effect on investment and economic growth.

It was a hyperventilated opinion better suited to a cable program than a Court opinion. The response from Justice Amy Coney Barrett was a virtual pile driver of a rebuke. Yet despite all the apocalyptic predictions, the economy hasn’t gone south, and predictions of a looming recession have been quietly walked back. Recently, a prominent anti-Trump economist admitted what many on the right have been saying from the beginning: Trump’s tariff strategy wasn’t the reckless gamble the media made it out to be.
