FBI confirms: Nellie Ohr lied to Congress

ey Newly declassified documents from a 2019 FBI analysis released on May 28, 2025 show that Nellie Ohr allegedly “knowingly“ provided false testimony under oath to Congress about her actions related to the Crossfire Hurricane investigation. Ohr was a Fusion GPS contractor who provided research and intel in the Crossfire Hurricane investigation. Senator Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa), ranking member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, played a central role in pushing for declassification of the analysis. An analysis of the documents concluded that Ohr’s statements obstructed congressional investigations and violated federal statutes 18 USC §1001 (false statements) and 18 USC §1505 (obstruction of proceedings before departments, agencies, and congressional committees).

Is it Grassleys turn to pen the strongly worded letter, or will Jim Jordan have that honor? The only thing more useless than congress are congressional hearings, a lot of sound and fury, signifying nothing. Maybe the republicans can get my Senator, Kennedy, to make a cute, pithy sound bite before she skates! If she were a republican, she'd already be in jail!

Everybody knew that. So what has changed. Nothing. Nobody will go to jail because repubs don't have the guts to do the right thing. For all of the years that Comer investigated the Bidens and their corruption, having witnesses who were involved in the scams, not one of them went to jail. People are sick of congressional hearings. Pathetic.

Ukraine has launched a “large-scale” drone attack against Russian military bombers in Siberia, striking more than 40 warplanes thousands of kilometres from its own territory, a security official said. The claims could not be independently verified. But if confirmed, the attacks would mark Ukraine’s most damaging drone strike of the war to date, amid an escalation in cross-border incursions before planned peace talks in Istanbul on Monday. Ukrainian security services are carrying out a large-scale special operation aimed at destroying enemy bombers far from the front, in Russia,” the official was quoted by Agence France-Presse as saying, adding a fire had broken out at the targeted Belaya airbase.

Isaacman worked alongside tech billionaire Elon Musk at SpaceX to fund the company’s first private spacewalk, and he was one of four astronauts aboard the Polaris Dawn flight this fall. CBS News thinks the crown jewel of its news division is "60 Minutes," the alleged gold standard of investigative journalism on television. But when it comes to politics, their coverage isn't just slanted. It's more like a wrecked bus laying on its side, wheels spinning in the air. Their stilted editing of a Kamala Harris interview weeks before the election caused Donald Trump to sue last year over the potential harm to his candidacy. By that standard, Trump could sue lots of newscasters and documentarians who slice and dice presidential contenders to try and persuade voters.

Still, it plays a significant part of life, structuring time and change.
