How the Chinese Regime Uses YouTube to

Signs of the Chinese regime’s influence are becoming more prevalent on YouTube, especially in English-language content about China. Paid agitators are flooding comment sections, propaganda videos are being masked as grassroots content, and influencers are being offered cash or crypto to push the regime’s message. Aside from content that artificially boosts the regime’s image, much of the propaganda is aimed at discrediting Beijing’s critics, particularly religious and ethnic minorities persecuted in China, as well as the United States more broadly. Much of the propaganda content on YouTube is hard to trace back to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). Many times, it’s produced by American or European

Being a social media influencer is all the rage. Being a critic doesn't even require a brain. Just mindlessly shout your hatred of something and watch mindless people jump on board. It is EVERYWHERE. Most of it is not worth reading.

I find Youtube entertaining and informative. The historical documentaries are great, but they probably 'push' the more conservative stuff to me, as that's all I click on. There is a lot of it.

If a twit like Dylan Mulvaney can be a social influencer on YouTube, it doesn't take much in the way of skill or propaganda talent to influence some Americans. The platform is great for fix-it and how-to presentations but if China wants to convince you that their way of life is the way to go, have at it. Communism is as good as anything else if you want to live a life of delusion and misery.

#13 - I use the cardboard mailers available in the Post Office lobby to mail my cards containing cash. They are sturdy and difficult to open easily or surreptitiously. I've been doing for over 10 years and they all get through. AI can be easily avoided by not responding to the click bait. I've never used Google. I use "Smart Page" as my search engine. I only use You Tube to watch the old Hollywood movies from the 30's, 40's and 50's. I pick an old-time actor and watch most of their movies listed. I've found some real gems I've never seen. I was a big fan of TCM, until the young Brit brats took over. I'm currently watching my way through the Barrymore's; Lionel, Ethel and John. It is up to the user to select what material they read and view. This was a lesson taught to me by the Irish Sisters of Charity in grade school.

Trump says Putin ‘has gone absolutely CRAZY!’ 6 replies

U.S. President Donald Trump called Vladimir Putin "absolutely CRAZY" and said the Russian leader "is needlessly killing a lot of people, and I’m not just talking about soldiers" in a Truth Social post on Sunday. The comments indicate that Trump's position on the Kremlin is hardening as his attempt to broker an end to the Russian war falters with no breakthrough in sight. The post came after Russia launched a massive attack on Ukraine over the weekend, lobbing drones and missiles at 30 cities and villages and killing at least 12 people, including three children.

Russia has continued the operation to secure a “buffer zone” between the held regions in the Eastern part of Ukraine and the area west of the Kursk, Bryansk and Belgorod regions. The NATO alliance continues pouring weapons in to support Ukraine defenses, but the Russians are methodically grinding down the Ukrainian military. Volodymyr Zelenskyy is now saying President Trump’s silence is emboldening the Russian assaults. “Each such terrorist attack by Russia is a sufficient reason for new sanctions against Russia. Russia is dragging out this war and continues to kill every day,” Zelensky said in a post on Telegram Sunday morning.

Moscow has claimed that that a “massive” Ukrainian drone attack targeted Vladimir Putin’s helicopter as the Russian leader visited the embattled Kursk region earlier this week. Russian air defence officer Yury Dashkin said on Sunday that Putin’s helicopter was at the “epicentre of an operation to repel a massive drone attack” on Tuesday, state media RT reports. The alleged attack came as the Russian leader visited the Kursk region, which saw the most significant incursion into Russian territory since the Second World War after Ukraine’s forces launched a daring counterinvasion last summer.

The stage is set for a constitutional battle between President Donald Trump and a federal watchdog over the extent of presidential authority on spending, as Trump seeks to make sweeping federal spending and personnel cuts. Trump and administration officials want to reduce existing restrictions on the president’s impoundment power, which allows a president to decline to spend money appropriated by Congress. According to Trump, the Impoundment Control Act of 1974—which requires the president to seek permission to rescind, or officially end, funding—violates the Constitution and the separation of powers. (snip( His critics, meanwhile, say that the White House is transgressing Congress’s power of the purse.

While President Trump says it’s too soon to back a successor for his party’s 2028 presidential nod, the jockeying and tea-leaf reading has begun in the search for the next GOP leader. The president himself suggested Vice President Vance and Secretary of State Marco Rubio are possible contenders. Trump’s eldest son, Donald Trump Jr., suggested this past week that he was keeping the door open to a possible run after his father leaves the White House, acknowledging “that calling is there.” Some swing state governors have also made moves that stoked speculation of presidential ambitions this cycle. Far from helping to end the war in Ukraine, all the indications suggest that US President Donald Trump's mediation efforts are not only prolonging the conflict, but increasing the likelihood that Russia will ultimately emerge victorious. Indeed, far from showing any interest in ending Russia's military offensive in Ukraine, the Russian leader has given every intention that he intends to continue fighting until victory has been achieved. Nor does there appear to be any serious prospect that Trump will be willing to hit the Kremlin with further sanctions, let alone military encouragement, if it fails to show any serious interest in peace negotiations.

The first pictures have emerged of a North Korean warship seemingly covered in tarpaulin after it capsized and sank in front of dictator Kim Jong Un. Satellite images appear to show the naval destroyer languishing on its side alongside the dock where a launch ceremony had been held. But the launch failed, and analysis of pictures taken on Thursday suggest the ship is now partially submerged and covered with bright blue tarpaulins in an apparent attempt to conceal the wreckage. State media said the the 5,000-ton ship, which had been due to enter service next year, is designed to carry weapons systems including nuclear-capable ballistic and cruise missiles.

A Titanic Blunder for a Tinpot Regime There’s a poetic kind of justice when a dictatorship’s propaganda parade ends as soggy scrap metal. North Korea, the Hermit Kingdom so fond of choreographed triumphs and goose-stepping grandeur, recently tried launching a 5,000-ton “stealth” destroyer, only to have it tip sideways into the sea like a child’s bathtub toy. This wasn’t just a mishap. It was a symbolic faceplant: the world’s most belligerent pariah state, fresh off a backroom weapons-for-bodies deal with Vladimir Putin, found its supposed symbol of strength literally sideways and broken. Author, broadcaster, and unflinching cultural critic Mark Steyn did not merely weather a defamation trial.
