These four women destroyed the Democratic
Party with race

Four young Congresswomen – not even Senators – accomplished something that eluded years of Democratic Presidents and their woes. Jimmy Carter in his malaise, Bill with Monica and his cigar, Lyndon Johnson and his Vietnam War – none of that was able to accomplish what these four young Congresswomen accomplished. They destroyed the Democratic Party. It was a perfect storm that began around the year 2020. China leaked a bioengineered virus from its biowarfare lab – probably accidentally – to produce worldwide mass hysteria and lockdowns of billions of people. It gathered steam when a thug died in the hands of a white cop. Protests and riots ensued, weirdly exempted from the lockdowns.

There's only about 2 Democrats that understand the truth here enough to try to do something about it and I'm guessing the party is already working on who to replace Fetterman with in the next Senatorial election for PA.

Dids you read this? If you didn't you missed a fine patriotic essay. The kind we should read and send on so others don't miss them. Beaton is a gem. This may be his best.

Thanks Glenn for my laugh for the day. It wasn't funny while it was happening, though, and I look for the democrats to vote as a bloc to oppose everything that Republicans put forward to try to correct this craziness. Sad that the squad is safe from being voted out. They need to go.

Just one quibble with an otherwise great column. The author writes that in 2020 “the country was already weary of Donald Trump and his often productive but typically provocative antics.” I don’t remember the country being weary of Trump before Fauci et al. and their extreme WuFlu measures starting in February, 2020. My sense prior to WuFlu, from blue New Jersey, was that Trump would be re-elected easily.

It’s As Good As It Gets. The movie that features Jack Nicholson as an angry obsessive/compulsive romantic novelist. When asked to describe how he creates female characters, he says, “I take reason and accountability and I throw them out. Then I have a woman.” The feminist movement, if it ever had good intentions has hopefully crashed and burned. If we don’t latch onto some sense of truth and respect and practical logic we are doomed. Hopefully we can see our mistakes and get off the road of good intentions.

Good one, Glenn, except I would have photoshopped Obie's mug into the picture lest we all forget who did all the dirty work. Suggest keeping a copy of this piece around for the history books. Rather amazing that severely wounding a major political party came about at the hands of a few misaligned people.

One drop of cyanide poisons the whole glass. Just like any so-called conservative who uses the term "insurrection". The bioweapon™ was not released accidently. Trump was not unpopular (except in the leftist media). Otherwise, the author makes points already known. Good riddance to "The Squat".

Great article. Great conclusion: "We’ve never seen a political climate quite like the current one. The Democrats went way out on a race limb, sawed it off, and are now surprised that they and their limb – not the tree – have fallen." Crap intro. The country wasn't weary of Donald Trump, idiot. US spooks targeted the man. And he stood up and took their best punch and maybe a gunshot. And now the country voted them out too. Idiot.

How can you write this article and not even mention Obama? Sorry, but that is where all of this started, as many predicted would happen. Hopefully, the American people have seen enough and we are returning to common sense in this country. Another thing Mr Beaton. This country wasn’t weary of Trump. 12 million more votes for Trump in 2020 than 2016. Very much disagree with this narrative.

Beaton is a great conservative writer but the headline's news of the demise of the democrat party is greatly exaggerated. The political pendulum has recently swung to the right, but pendulums inevitably swing the other way, or at least always have, especially when they have the near totality of the media ever. blowing and nudging them leftward.

This was the one Beaton column I could not finish. He had shared most of my thoughts (coincidence only) but there are antics of the four horse-butts of the Apocalypse I just wasn't willing to revisit. They were merely freshmen women who insisted on living in a "fraternity house" only to cause trouble. Fie on them. Fie on ME if I read another word about any one of them.

Question: What do the following have in common? Stupid pet tricks Bungee cord jumping Abolishing the borders that define a country Making oneself a human cannonball Commuting the duly imposed death sentences of convicted murderers and rapists Setting oneself on fire Surrendering Afghanistan to barbarians from the 11th century Jumping Snake River Canyon on a rocket-powered motorcycle Closing all the schools to prevent transmission of a disease that barely affects children. Answer: What these have in common is that all are stunts. They are designed to attract attention, and they succeed in doing so. But that’s all they do. If you tell me you’ve taught a poodle to mix a martini and serve it to a parakeet, I’ll probably watch.

Jesus turned water into wine. Modern-day abolitionists want to turn that wine into poison, and modern-day drinkers want to chase them out of town. We’re come a long way baby. Not. Let’s start with some facts: As a long-time drinker, I can say with some authority that alcohol is a toxin. Half a quart of hard liquor in half an hour will probably leave you unconscious. More than that can kill you. However, people rarely drink that much, that fast. Those who do are probably engaging in many other reckless behaviors, too, that will kill them long before the alcohol does.

Jimmy Carter informed us back in 1976 that he had “looked on many women with lust” and “committed adultery many times in my heart.” The fact that a man’s heart or other organs have lusted after many women is not exactly news. The reason men don’t go around broadcasting their lust is because it’s obvious. It would be like saying, I get horny on days that end in a “y.” But Carter did tell us about his lust – in a formal interview with Playboy, perhaps fittingly. He evidently thought that a man’s lust was newsworthy, if the man was him.

You know them. They were in your living room and part of your family conversations every night, especially during those 60-second breaks. Before America was siloed into warring tribes by ratings-hungry cable TV and, later, by click-hungry internet sites, these men defined fatherhood for two generations. They were uncool before uncool was cool. I’m aware this isn’t Fathers Day, other than in a specific religious sense. But Christmas always bring back family memories for me, particularly of my dad, which gets me thinking about the role of dads everywhere.

Henry Kissinger argued that geopolitical negotiations are successful only if they are backed by an implicit or explicit threat of force. In that argument, he echoed Teddy Roosevelt’s quip a century earlier that America should “speak softly and carry a big stick.” The contention that adversarial negotiations are successful only if you have some leverage to exert is an obvious truism. But American leaders need to re-learn this truism every so often. They naively – and sometimes malevolently – come to believe that the way to get along with the bad guys is to kowtow to them.

The one for girls. Then they were in the Cabinet of the future former President and current organized crime boss who both commits and pardons family criminal acts. (One stop shopping, is he.) The next thing we knew, they were competing in athletic contests against real women – or, as much of the media dubs them, “birthing persons” or “menstruating persons” or “persons with a bonus hole” or (my personal favorite) “non-transgender women.”

During the California leg of a year-long journey across America, I devoted a day to visiting two presidential libraries within a short distance of each other. I started that morning at the Richard Nixon Presidential Museum and Library and a few hours later proceeded to that of Ronald Reagan. Every president is actively encouraged to plan and construct an official repository of his documents from his time in office. The resulting library is more than the collection of the paperwork generated during his tenure, however.

WASHINGTON - U.S. Special Counsel Jack Smith concluded that Donald Trump engaged in an "unprecedented criminal effort" to hold on to power after losing the 2020 election, but was thwarted in bringing the case to trial by the president-elect's November election victory, according to a report published on Tuesday. The report details Smith's decision to bring a four-count indictment against Trump, accusing him of plotting to obstruct the collection and certification of votes following his 2020 defeat by Democratic President Joe Biden. It concludes that the evidence would have been enough to convict Trump at trial, but his imminent return to the presidency, set for Jan. 20, made that impossible.

WASHINGTON — Retiring President Biden lifted Cuba’s designation as a state sponsor of terrorism Tuesday, less than a week before leaving office — outraging Republican members of Congress who believe more stringent sanctions should remain in effect. Biden, 82, made the decision in deference to the Catholic Church’s talks with the island’s Communist authorities on releasing political prisoners, the White House said. “We view this as an opportune moment to do so, given the important dialogue that is taking place between Cuba and the Catholic Church with respect to political prisoners,” a Biden administration official told reporters.

Mediators from the United States and Qatar said Israel and the Palestinian militant group were at the closest point yet to sealing a deal to bring them a step closer to ending 15 months of war. The Associated Press obtained a copy of the proposed agreement, and an Egyptian official and a Hamas official confirmed its authenticity. An Israeli official said progress has been made, but the details are being finalized. All three officials spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss the talks.
