Trump Eyeing Dan Bongino to Helm Secret Service

President-elect Donald J. Trump is reportedly closing in on a familiar name to helm the United States Secret Service, which has been marred by controversy regarding its serial failure to protect the incoming president during his July rally at Butler, Pennsylvania. Trump was shot during that assassination attempt. The incident led to the resignation of director Kimberly Cheatle, Jill Biden’s gal pal, for the incompetence that was unearthed, which led to bipartisan outrage. That’s why Mr. Trump is eying former Secret Service agent Dan Bongino to helm the agency.

We don’t really need that much money to acquire pretty much everything that normal people desire. I suspect that people who have accumulated a relatively great or comfortable amount don’t care much about it. Can’t buy you love, health, happiness or even possessions that you need or appreciate.

In the past year or so I've become a big fan of his daily podcast (1 hour) and also a frequent listener to his Noon to 3 PM radio show. Assuming he responds to the call from the President-elect, he will have to lose the radio show, and it is probably too much to expect him to podcast every weekday, but I hope he's still able to do a weekly podcast. I think his audience for those would be yuge!

The news of President Trump’s return to the Oval Office and his excellent cabinet nominations may be causing Biden Deep State officials to undertake desperate measures to evade accountability.[Snip] On Tuesday, the House Oversight Committee’s X account obtained footage of a truck from a paper-shredding company stationed outside the DOJ. While it’s unclear exactly why the truck was there, the fact that this vehicle arrived just before Trump entered office again is noteworthy.

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Wisconsin Republican Eric Hovde conceded defeat on Monday to Democratic incumbent Tammy Baldwin in their U.S. Senate race, saying he did not want to “add to political strife through a contentious recount” even though he raised debunked election conspiracies. Hovde, who was backed by President-elect Donald Trump, could have requested a recount because his margin of defeat was less than 1 percentage point, at about 29,000 votes. He would have had to pay for it himself.

Multiple outlets say, based largely on claims from CNN via anonymous sources, that President-elect Donald Trump intends to nominate South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem as his Homeland Security secretary. While Noem is certainly skilled at promoting herself, she doesn’t have the courage required for this role.[snip] Noem has an undeserved reputation for courage because she was the only governor not to shut down her state in the name of Covid. But that reputation is completely undeserved. The truth is, she attempted to get the power to shut down South Dakota, but the state legislature refused to give it to her.

As Jan. 6 defendants anticipate pardons from President-elect Donald Trump, there are indications that the FBI is winding down any further investigations of the attack on the Capitol in 2021.  According to sources at the FBI, Jan. 6 cases still being investigated “are dead.” “They’re not going anywhere. They’re dead. They’re going to be closed, because they still have some in the pipeline,” an FBI source said. “Basically, right now, everyone [is asking], ’Why the hell are you prosecuting?” another Bureau source said. “They’re all going to be pardoned anyway, so it’s an informal shutdown.”

If it weren’t for the election season swamping news coverage, odds are more people would be talking about the revelation that, to quote a Bloomberg headline, “The World Bank Somehow Lost Track of at Least $24 Billion.” In fact, that may understate the reality: the World Bank’s “accounting gap” could be as big as $41 billion. The missing funds in question were for “climate finance” projects, “financed by taxpayer dollars from its member countries, the biggest being the US.”

Both before the November 5 presidential election and after, there’s been plenty of talk about President Joe Biden stepping down and making Vice President Kamala Harris America’s first female president. Despite ardent backing from Democratic Party stalwarts, the idea isn’t a popular one, as the latest I&I/TIPP poll indicates. Some Democrat activists, humbled by the Electoral College drubbing they took from former (and soon to be current) President Donald Trump, have pushed hard to have the age-hobbled Biden step down from the office of the presidency so that Kamala can take over and make history —

Before marrying in 2021, former Rep. Matt Gaetz, R-Fla., was known to be a braggadocious libertine. The claims against Gaetz are but another information operation, however, mirroring the ones that previously targeted Donald Trump and Brett Kavanaugh. And this pattern will continue unabated unless Americans unflinchingly condemn the tactic — no matter the target.
