Vice President Kamala Harris deigned to sit for an interview on Fox News Channel's "Special Report" with Bret Baier on Wednesday, embarrassing both herself and the United States. She refused to answer basic questions about her own policies and the record of the Harris-Biden administration, repeatedly filibustered to avoid answering, and even shouted at one point. She was combative throughout, and it was blatantly obvious that she planned to avoid answering substantive questions at all costs. Asked about the Biden-Harris border policies, she blamed Donald Trump, as if she hasn't been vice president for the last four years.

Kamala Harris doesn’t want to talk about the border, she doesn’t want to tell the truth about the border and, most important, she doesn’t have an answer for the border. That’s the main takeaway from Fox News’ Bret Baier’s incisive questioning Wednesday night, which exposed Harris as an angry partisan with no other platform than “blame Donald Trump.” Finally facing an interviewer who wasn’t giving her hugs and cookies, Harris tried monologuing an irrelevant answer about the flood of illegal immigrants. When Baier called her out, she bristled, said “let me finish” and then continued to not answer the question. She refused to take any responsibility. Admitted no errors.

The pair began by talking about immigration, a top issue for American voters. When Baier asked Harris how many illegal immigrants her administration has released into the United States, Harris dodged, and said, “Bret, let’s just get to the point. The point is that we have a broken immigration system that needs to be repaired.”

Last year, when the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) initially issued its "final" nationwide crime data for 2022, the bureau reported that the country's violent crime rate decreased by 2.1 percent. Democrats quickly latched onto this purported percent change to counter Donald Trump's claims that crime is soaring under the Biden-Harris administration. However, a year later, the FBI has "quietly revised" those numbers, according to a RealClearInvestigations report by crime watchdog Dr. John Lott, correcting the dataset to show that violent crime actually increased in 2022 by 4.5 percent. This means the FBI was way off — by 6.6 percentage points.

The rankings are in for which U.S. governors have the best – and worst – records when it comes to fiscal responsibility. The Cato Institute released its biennial Fiscal Policy Report Card on America's Governors for 2024 this week, scoring each state leader according to how much they raised or lowered taxes, and whether they slashed spending or ramped it up. Here are the most fiscally responsible governors in the nation, according to the libertarian-leaning think tank:

It’s election season in America, and that means early voting, absentee ballots, and making sure your voter registration is current. It’s also a test of how well each state maintains its voter rolls, its election systems, and the ways each state assures its elections are conducted and counted fairly. A new report from the Government Accountability Institute (GAI) counts at least fifty threats to election integrity. The report, just out this week, categorizes fifty different threats to election integrity according to whether they concern the influence of “dark money,” lawfare operations, voter fraud, or election fraud. The report documents examples of each and offers potential solutions.

California police departments are spending hundreds of thousands of dollars on Teslas to comply with the state’s zero-emissions mandate — only for some to find them “nearly unusable” as squad cars. Multiple municipalities have started buying modified electric cars since Gov. Gavin Newsom signed a bill in 2020 ordering that all vehicles sold in California be zero-emission by 2035. The city of Irvine even spent a whopping $150,000 on just one tricked-out Tesla Cybertruck, drawing the ire of taxpayers because it is not for regular patrol but more to turn heads in anti-drug D.A.R.E. programs, according to LAist.

Kamala Harris’ greatest enemy is herself, and her most notable weakness is her inability to convey sincerity in her messaging to the public. Her authenticity handicap has recently been reflected in her dwindling polling data with black Americans, a historically reliable Democratic voter bloc. Charlamagne Tha God of “The Breakfast Club” invited Vice President Harris for an audio-only town hall in Detroit featuring prerecorded questions from the audience. From the very first question, her believability came under scrutiny by Charlamagne. “Folks say you come off as very scripted and like to stick to your talking points,” he said — and she promptly interrupted him by saying,

Nasir Ahmad Tawhedi, 27, was never vetted or approved by the State Department for special immigrant (SIV) status, though officials from other agencies had claimed he cleared that stringent process. Additionally, sources familiar with the investigation tell Fox News that Tawhedi was not well known to the U.S. government when the administration facilitated his departure to the states, despite his security role with the CIA in Afghanistan.

How refreshing it is to see the Democratic Party in full panic mode. Nothing is working and as a result, the entire and profoundly unsuccessful Obama-Biden interlude is stricken and faltering. In fairness to the voters, the country could not have voted Republican in 2008 after the disaster of President George W. There had to be a change, as there usually is after two terms of the same party, and Senator McCain was not a skilled national campaigner.
