The week began with what is absurdly called a “debate” and ended with a clear example of the grit, decency, and inventiveness of ordinary people and the sloth, idiocy, and incompetence of our government in the face of a devastating hurricane in Appalachia. I didn’t watch the debate and like the great Iowahawk (David Burge) I consider this one of the worst lies told concerning them, “here is our panel of undecided voters.” If you are undecided at this stage, you are a moron and shouldn’t vote, or a liar.

Clarice is angry, just like the rest of us. Our government has become openly hostile to the taxpayers who keep it alive, so what are we going to do about it?

Clarice lays it out cogently, as usual. She describes the ease with which the election can (and will, I believe) be stolen. Barring a miracle. She thoroughly castigates the inept FEMA. In short, our federal government has gone to hell, and aside from revolt, there is nothing we can do about it.

How are they supposed to apply online without power or internet connections? And I suppose that the $750 will be in form of a check or a debit card when the ATMs have no electricity or have been washed away. Such genius at FEMA.

We haven't voted in socialism; it was thrust upon us. We most likely can't vote ourselves out of socialism. If not, the government will have lost the consent of the governed, and it will be time to dust off the Declaration of Independence. Thankfully, we still have the 2nd Amendment. Socialist governments have absolute power, and as we know, absolute power corrupts absolutely!

#3, no to mention, where are those nine people who qualify for the $750, and have the ability apply for it, going to go shopping? If you've ever watched an episode of "Barnwood Builders" filming in the North Carolina mountains (aka "no flat ground"), you'll have a small idea of what the rescuers are contending with, plus the added flooded streams and roads, felled trees, debris of civilization. And extra mud --- lots and lots of extra mud. Almost all the cranes, backhoes, heavy trucks, even tractors, need modicum of reasonably solid ground to function and not get trapped, themselves.

Once again Clarice digs deep and comes up with news analysis I haven't seen anywhere 4else, and I read a lot. The obvious election fraud to come from overseas voters, military and otherwise, where the numbers don't add up. And the NGO fraud re the illegal aliens and others ("displaced" in Lebanon?)being supported rather lavishly with FEMA money Mayorkas is treating like his pocket change. Except for Asheville, the hardest hit areas are Republican. Get it? If you want the real scoop, read Clarice...

I reside in a state that has never been a "swing" state. I am certain that the 2020 presidential election was rigged, by multiple means. Don't give me that crap about multiple courts having "examined the evidence" and concluded there was no election cheating of any consequence, as Margaret Brennan claimed in the vice presidential debate. There never was an actual court trial at which evidence was presented: all cases were dismissed for "lack of standing," "lack of evidence" or similar grounds, because there was no way to prove cheating, despite enormously suspicious---but mostly circumstantial--evidence. I was so angry after 2020 that I nearly traveled to Washington for the protest at which the FBI and Nancy Pelosi arranged to arrest and prosecute hundreds of good people. I was so angry that I vowed never to vote in another presidential election, as my way of protesting against a rigged election system. Of course, I have calmed down slightly, and am determined to vote straight Republican in the upcoming election, and all future elections. I go out of my way to research the candidates running in non-partisan races in my district, to discover who the actual Republicans and actual democrats are, and I vote ONLY for Republicans, even in non-partisan races where democrats hide their party affiliation. Today, our democratic republic is on the precipice of collapse. Obama has selected--not elected--the dem candidates, Harris (Willie Brown's side piece), and lying weasel Walz. If these two "win" this election in November, with the aid of tens of thousands of illegal and invalid ballots and illegal vote-counting in swing states as we witnessed in 2020, I fear our country will tumble into tyranny and, eventually, anarchy. Then, the Biblical prophets whose prophecies were condensed into the Irish poet's "Second Coming" will be proven to have commenced: "Turning and turning in the widening gyre The falcon cannot hear the falconer; Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold; Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world, The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere The ceremony of innocence is drowned; The best lack all conviction, while the worst Are full of passionate intensity. "Surely some revelation is at hand; Surely the Second Coming is at hand . . ."

Not only did Trump win big in 2020, the Democrat Party would never win another honest national election. Unfortunately, there will never be another honest national election. They control the media and the institutions that they have destroyed, and are packing the country with human debris who will "vote" Democrat. Trump would only be a four-year reprieve, even if they let him live and govern. They won't. Sadly, all that it left is capitulation/acceptance, or massive bloodshed. Sorry, but there it is.

Palestinians have a custom of celebrating in the streets every time Israel is attacked or a Jew is murdered by terrorists. It is hard, if not impossible, to find one senior Palestinian official who is willing to criticize his own people for celebrating terrorist attacks. It is also hard, if not impossible, to find one senior Palestinian official who is willing to condemn the October 7 atrocities and massacres against Israelis. Palestinian leaders have good reason not to speak out: they are afraid of being killed by their own people.

The powerful storm could hit Florida as early as Wednesday and may be more destructive than deadly Hurricane Helene, which ripped through parts of the Sunshine State just last week. Hurricane Helene has wrought deadly and destructive havoc across the South and Appalachia, killing dozens and doing billions in property damage. Fast on Helene’s heels, we now have another disaster hitting the U.S.: The longshoreman strike that now threatens to shut down much of the U.S. economy. And very conspicuously, Joe Biden did nothing about it. No jawboning. No ideas. No attempt to cool tempers and bridge differences to get a deal. Apparently Biden’s leaving it to others as he whiles away the remainder of his only term as president at his beloved Rehoboth Beach vacation home.

Giorgia Meloni might just be the most interesting leader on the world stage right now. Not long ago the Italian prime minister was a fringe figure: the head of a small political party called the Brothers of Italy, which has its roots in the country’s postwar neo-fascist movement. But in the seemingly permanent turmoil of Italian politics, Meloni emerged as the leading right-populist in the country. After the right-wing coalition she led won a majority in 2022, she became the first woman to serve as Italy’s prime minister.

In a hard pivot, the New York Times joined the rest of the media in turning from extolling the "joy" of Kamala's campaign to harping on her character. The article declares that Donald Trump is unfit to hold office (the editorial is much more fun if you read this part aloud using your best Foghorn Leghorn voice). According to the editorial, "regardless of any political disagreements voters might have with her, Kamala Harris is the only patriotic choice for president."

If conservatives want to win elections, they don’t need to rile up the base, they need to convince independents to say in public what they believe in private – that they agree with conservatives on most issues and that Democrats are the wildly out-of-touch extremists. That, at least, is one way to read a fascinating new survey from Populace, a non-partisan think tank in Massachusetts, which figured out a way to discern what 20,000 Americans think privately and compare that to what they are willing to say publicly. It turns out that there are often wide gaps between the two, which Populace calls the “Social Pressure Index.”

But as we've seen in her 60 minutes in the clips we've seen already, it didn't go well. The first clips they released were about Israel and the Gaza war. Kamala gave a ridiculous word salad answer and she also managed to throw Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu under the bus. She wouldn't even say that Bibi or the state of Israel was an ally.
