Why Was Big Tech So Quick to Scrub Ryan

Anyone who works in media knows it's a race against time to find the social-media content of anyone involved in a high-profile crime. Whether it's a school shooter or a political assassin like Ryan Routh, social media companies immediately lock down the accounts and hide them from the public. Yesterday, just minutes after Routh's name began circulating, his X and Facebook accounts were disabled. Fortunately, some quick-thinking individuals were able to access the social media posts before they were memory-holed, so we now know that Routh hated Trump and had extreme left-wing political views.

The FBI or whatever competent law enforcement agency there is might want to keep an eye on this clown's son. When being interviewed by police, the son said his dad hated Trump, and he added so do I.

There could very well be a conspiracy. It is also possible the shooter worked it all out on his own. Law enforcement is already warning people about what information people make publicly available about themselves. Criminals take notice. Criminals also take notice of what vehicles are around a place. Those vehicles will tell them who is there or not there. Look at what happened in Florida from that perspective and it's possible the shooter managed to work this all out on his own.

[T]he UK government announced that it is imposing an "immediate" weapons embargo against Israel. The statement followed almost a year of relentless attacks on Israel, not only by Iran's proxies -- Hamas, Hezbollah and the Houthis -- but by Iran itself, and probably several tons of unverified propaganda by Hamas that Israel is supposedly committing "war crimes." Even South Africa is seeking to extend the deadline for presenting evidence against Israel at the International Court of Justice, for lack of evidence of its allegations of genocide. So far, all evidence points to Israel being "the world's most moral army." Meanwhile, the same cannot be said for the entities attacking it.

Weren’t Democrats Once the Champions

Democrats were once the party of free speech. The ACLU and “truth to power” were part of the Democrat party truth brigade. Yet now Democrats and the left are stifling free speech so fast it would make George Orwell’s head spin. If Orwell was alive today, his sequel to 1984 would be 2024, replacing Winston Smith with Elon Musk or Telegram CEO Pavel Durov. Censorship, once popular in communist China, Hitler’s Germany, and Mao’s China, is the new Converse sneakers, mom jeans, and cardigans, popular decades ago and now making a comeback.

There’s no political playbook for how to deal with another apparent assassination attempt against a major-party presidential candidate within weeks of an election. Yet that’s where the rival campaigns now find themselves after what looks like a second attempt to kill Republican nominee Donald Trump in the latest twist to a political season defying precedent and highlighting the nation’s deep polarization. Twice within two months, America has narrowly avoided the tragedy of seeing a major political figure assassinated during an election season — and the toxic forces that such an outrage could unleash in a country wracked by visceral partisan divides.

— Donald Trump was the target of what the FBI said “appears to be an attempted assassination” at his golf club in West Palm Beach, Florida, on Sunday, just nine weeks after the Republican presidential nominee survived another attempt on his life. The former president said he was safe and well, and authorities held a man in custody. U.S. Secret Service agents stationed a few holes up from where Trump was playing noticed the muzzle of an AK-style rifle sticking through the shrubbery that lines the course, roughly 400 yards away.

Former President Donald Trump offered his thanks late Sunday night and said he was proud to be an American after Secret Service agents thwarted an AK-47-wielding suspect from shooting him dead in an assassination attempt at the Republican nominee’s West Palm Beach golf course. “I would like to thank everyone for your concern and well wishes – It was certainly an interesting day!” the former president posted on Truth Social. “Most importantly, I want to thank the US Secret Service, Sheriff Ric Bradshaw and his Office of brave and dedicated Patriots, and, all of Law Enforcement, for the incredible job done today at Trump International in keeping me,

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi made a fool of the United States — and the Biden-Harris administration rewarded him for his ridicule. Last Sunday, the National Interest reported that Egypt is ditching US F-16 fighter jets for their Chinese competitor, the J-10C. The US had offered to upgrade Egypt’s aging fleet of F-16s. Sisi said no, and chose China instead. On the face of things, Egypt’s betrayal makes no sense. A year ago, Egypt was on the brink of insolvency. Its external debt made up 46% of its GDP.

I don’t know whether to laugh or cry, though in this instance, it’s not a statement regarding some appalling examples of liberal media bias. For the Ohio Haitians ‘eating the pets’ story, it’s pure entertainment, maybe a touch of schadenfreude: the liberal media is being tortured in their attempt to neutralize the story. Contrary to the establishment press, this story hasn’t been debunked. There’s no way within 48-72 hours that authorities can verify dogs and cats are not being eaten by the tens of thousands of Haitians in Springfield, Ohio.

Since former President Trump announced JD Vance as his running mate, the Ohio senator has become the bane of the corporate media, routinely appearing on liberal networks to spar with partisan journalists and dismantle the latest fake narratives about the GOP presidential nominee and his agenda. Just moments after both candidates made closing arguments, one reporter attempted to ensnare Vance in a “gotcha” question about the viral story of Haitian migrants allegedly eating wild geese and even dogs and cats in Springfield, Ohio.

At least three people were killed in the east of Lebanon and more than 100 were wounded in the new explosions in southern Beirut, a Hezbollah stronghold, on Wednesday, Lebanon’s health ministry said. Witnesses and Hezbollah officials said the explosions were as a result of the group’s walkie-talkies as well as motorbike radios and security locks blowing up across Lebanon. Sources told Lebanese news outlet L’Orient Today that devices were detonated inside cars, residential apartments and shops.

California lawmakers passed a bill at the end of August that would make it illegal to sell a gas stove that is manufactured or sold online on or after Jan. 1, 2025, or sold in a store, "unless the gas stove bears an adhesive label attached in a conspicuous location," according to the text of the bill. Much of the noise coming from the debate between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris last week had to do with a media-driven narrative that Harris “won.” Maybe so. In initial polls after the debate, Harris padded her lead. But will the debate win be enough for the Democrats’ own rank-and-file voters, who believe the party used an undemocratic method to select its nominee? September’s I&I/TIPP Poll suggests the answer is yes. Start with the fact that the Real Clear Politics polling average puts Harris up just 1.7 percentage points nationally, and a sliver-thin 0.2 percentage points in key battleground states.

Three people were killed in Lebanon's Bekaa region, the state news agency reported, and dozens of people were wounded in the latest device blast. At least one of the blasts took place near a funeral organized by Iran-backed Hezbollah for those killed the previous day when thousands of pagers used by the group exploded across the country and wounded many of the group's fighters.
