The Democrats’ recent panic over President Joe Biden’s apparent mental infirmities underscores the importance of the vice presidential pick. In the case of former President Donald Trump, who will only be able to serve one term if re-elected, the choice is just as important if not more so. A handful of favorites has emerged, the latest I&I/TIPP Poll shows.
In the past two months, the I&I/TIPP Poll has queried voters about a long list of 22 possible choices for Trump.
However, in recent days, that list has shrunk markedly. Trump campaign insiders, Republican Party officials and those close to Trump

In 2022, the Washington Examiner's Becket Adams reported that the Marine Corps Band was instructed to compose an entrance theme for First Lady Jill Biden. The song, Fanfare for the First Lady, was intended to be a counterpoint to the president's Hail to the Chief. But of course, the president is the elected commander in chief, and the First Lady is more of an honorary post.
Many of those in the Marine Corps Band said they'd never been asked to do an exclusive First Lady entrance theme before. "Someone in the White House apparently 'had the bright idea, ‘Oh, tell the band that we want music for Jill,'' a source said.

Lifelong Democrat George Clooney has turned on President Joe Biden and demanded he step aside from the 2024 race after his disastrous debate and widespread concerns about whether he can serve four more years.
The Hollywood megastar, who has hosted fundraisers for the 81-year-old, said Biden can't win the 'battle against time' in a scathing op-ed for the New York Times on Wednesday morning.
The actor also condemned Democratic party leaders for ignoring 'every warning sign' of Biden's declining physical and mental health and for trying to defend his car-crash performance against Donald Trump.

Residents of the west-central town of Springfield, Ohio, are demanding that their city council do something to stem the tide of the Haitian immigrants that have flooded the city. [SNIP] The town situated just west of the state capitol in Columbus has been a target of Haitian immigrants at least since 2014, and in the ensuing years, some ten thousand had moved to the Rust Belt town. But in the last four years alone, that population has ballooned to more than 20,000. The influx is causing serious pressures to mount on the town.

Fans are thirsting over John F. Kennedy’s grandson after he was named Vogue’s new political correspondent.
The fashion magazine announced on Thursday that Jack Schlossberg — the only grandson of JFK and Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis — will be covering the upcoming 2024 presidential election.
“I am inspired by my family’s legacy of public service. I take that very seriously and I want to contribute in my own way,” Schlossberg, 31, told Vogue in an article published Wednesday. “I have big dreams, but I also know that I’m trying to make a positive impact today.”

The SAVE Act – which requires proof of citizenship to vote in federal elections – passed the House 221-198 on Wednesday.
Nearly every Democrat lawmaker voted to protect the ability of illegals to vote in federal elections.
This is after Joe Biden flooded the US with more than 15 million illegal aliens.
The White House issued a statement on Monday, condemning a House Republicans’ bill requiring proof of citizenship when registering to vote in federal elections. The bill amends the National Voter Registration Act of 1993 to require voters to show documentary proof of United States citizenship. With each passing day, you learn something new, something that just reinforces what so many in conservative media and beyond have said about Joe Biden's mental acuity for four years now but were told they were being rude, resorting to gutter politics, and Orange Man Bad so shut up.
Over the last few days alone, we've learned some reporters have to use translation devices to be able to hear Biden when he starts mumbling. We've also found out that tensions between the Obama-Biden camps have only been made worse since the debate. And Clintonista/ABC News anchor George Stephanopoulos, who interviewed Biden a week after the debate,

Huma Abedin and Alex Soros are engaged, Page Six has exclusively learned.
Sources tell us Soros popped the question six weeks ago, and the couple were spotted recently celebrating the happy news in Italy.
“The best way I can describe the relationship is effortless,” a friend of Abedin’s for over 15 years tells Page Six.
“After a lot of tumultuous years for Huma, she’s relaxed and happy and in love,” the insider added.

On Wednesday’s broadcast of CNN’s “The Source,” Biden Campaign Co-Chair Sen. Chris Coons (D-DE) said that he has told his Senate colleagues, “remember who Joe Biden is. We can’t set a bar so high that who Joe Biden’s been for 30 years can’t clear it. He’s always had a slight stutter. He’s always spoken a little off the cuff.” And that we shouldn’t “set the stakes too high” for his NATO press conference on Thursday.
Host Kaitlan Collins asked, “You’ve kind of been in this intermediary position, where, obviously, you know the President incredibly well, but also, you’re talking to all these senators, you know all of them. I’m sure they’re

France is on the verge of a “financial crisis” and consequent economic decline after the surprise success of a hard left coalition in this weekend’s elections, the country’s outgoing finance minister Bruno Le Maire has warned. [SNIP] In a possible hint at future chaos, riot police clashed with left-wing demonstrators in Paris on Sunday evening.
The hastily assembled Popular Front (NFP) - spearheaded by left-wingers including former Presidential candidate Jean-Luc Melenchon - is pledging to increase public spending by £125 billion if they successfully form a government. They have also proposed a 90 percent tax on incomes over £340,000 a year.

The White House was forced to make yet another embarrassing clarification after Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre told reporters that a meeting between the president's personal physician and a neurological specialist was not related to Joe Biden's personal care.
In fact, it was part of Biden's annual physical, as she later had to admit.
It is the most recent gaffe by officials as the nation's oldest president fights for his political life amid questions about his fitness for the job.
(Video) Then a day later, she had to issue a statement admitting that Biden had met neurologist Dr. Kevin Cannard for an exam despite telling reporters the opposite

Two Democratic senators are asking Attorney General Merrick Garland to appoint a special counsel to investigate Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas for possible tax law violations.
Sens. Sheldon Whitehouse (D-R.I.) and Ron Wyden (D-Ore.) sent the letter to Garland last week asking him to appoint a special counsel “to investigate possible violations of federal ethics and tax laws.” The two lawmakers pointed to public reporting over the last year which found Thomas failed to disclose multiple luxury trips and gifts from billionaire friends.
