The Kremlin has accused the U.S. of 'killing Russian children' after a Ukrainian attack on occupied Crimea with long-range missiles supplied by Washington and said there will be 'consequences'.
Moscow has summoned the U.S. ambassador to issue a formal warning, while Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov issued a public statement slamming the U.S. for 'barbaric' strike on Sevastopol, a strategic port city on the Black Sea.
'The involvement of the United States, the direct involvement, as a result of which Russian civilians are killed, cannot be without consequences,' said Peskov.

Wonder if the Russians will do something between now and Thursday so Biden can say he has to focus all his attention on Russia and not debate a convicted felon

Thousands of Ukrainian civilians have been killed by Russian missile strikes on shopping mall and apartment buildings for several years now. And suddenly Russia is all cranky about four civilians? Sorry, YOU guys started this, and YOU GUYS have been killing civilians.
Its a war. Stuff happens.

As long as the Ruskies aim at pro-Hamas campus encampments, it’s all good with me.

Actually, it was the US, the EU, NATO, and the WEF that started it. You don’t poke bears without expecting an attack.

No one "poked a bear". In 2014, Putin attacked Ukraine and took over the region called Crimea. That was an invasion, pure and simple.
And Russia has absolutely NO RIGHT at all to control countries near it's borders, and dictate their politics or their allegiances.
I cannot understand the posters who imagine that somehow Russia demanding that Ukraine must follow what they say, and not join NATO to protect themselves from Russia, is somehow OK, and right.
Russia does NOT have this right to control neighboring states. Anyone who imagines that supports thugs.

To DVC poster, You sound like someone who would be perfectly fine with Russia massing on the Canadian and Mexico board aiming rockets and artillery at the U.S. It's okay with you if NATO encroaches on the Russian boarder areas and points Nukes at Russia. You sound like a deep State sympathizer to me. It's THAT type of thinking that is leading NATO (and us) in to WWIII. Enjoy the atomic light show!! ;-)

Perhaps Putin is considering the Blaze of Glory option. Or even trying to rally the jihad to his side against us.

We're playing with fire here. Remember the Russians have three war ships in Cuba and we have a brain dead president and they know it. The whole world knows we're at one of our weakest points in decades. In an emergency who is there for us, Biden who doesn't know what freakin day of the weak or is it Obama a freakin coward. They would never have put those ships in Cuba if Trump were president. Think about it.

The missile that came down at Sevastopol was targeting a Russian military missile launcher, but a Russian missile intercepted it, causing it to explode and rain down shrapnel over the Sevastopol beach. So the civilian casualties there were caused by the Russians themselves. Meanwhile, Russia continues to blow up civilian apartment buildings in Ukraine, the independent country Russia invaded. Russia can not be allowed to paint itself as victim in its own Ukraine invasion.

Very few people like the idea of war outside of the defense industry and those secured safely in underground shelters but if you get into it, do it right. Don't send missiles to other countries and conduct a proxy war, shoot them yourself. Don't start a war but make sure you can finish one. Russia and Iran know that they can push the flea-brained vegetable around and that puts us in danger.

Biden's sending missiles to Ukraine and Okaying their use against targets in Russia is indeed poking the bear. We should not be militarily involved in this conflict.

If we last long enough to get a real President elected, maybe there will be a chance for some sort of cease fire.
You can bet that as long as we supply the weapons Zelensky will supply the bodies to keep this thing going.

FVP. Putin is a paranoid mafia thug who has been murdering civilians and terrorizing Ukraine since 2014. NO, NATO did not have nuclear missiles and artillery pointed at Russia in 2014, or in 2022. NATO did not want to invade or threaten Russia in 2014,in fact NATO armies had deteriorated since 1991 when the USSR collapsed. Ukraine is a sovereign country with its own language and culture and a population of 45 million before the war. Putin does not recognize Ukraine's right to exist. Before the Maidan revolution, Putin had installed a puppet as PM in Ukraine and their 6,000 man 'army' was poorly equipped with old rifles, rusted artillery, old uniforms, etc. His mafia controlled Ukraine with brute force, corrupt police, and all the insane politics of Russia. Putin wants to rape and murder Ukraine like Stalin did in 1932, when they starved 8 million people and forced the survivors off their lands in order to create communist farms. Every single European country that borders Russia understands that Russia is a pariah state that cannot be trusted. One thing this war has revealed is that the Russian 'bear' is inept, corrupt, and without allies except for Iran and China. If Putin did not have nukes no one would fear his feeble military.
