Scottie Scheffler WINS the Travelers Championship
in sudden death playoff against Tom Kim

Scottie Scheffler and Tom Kim toasted their joint birthday with a pizza party ahead of the Travelers Championship earlier this week. But on Sunday, it was the World No. 1 spoiling the party for his fellow birthday boy. The final round of The Travelers Championship proved to be more of a test of will than skill. Luckily for Scheffler, he possesses both. Used to lie-ins over the weekend, the World No. 1 suffered a rude awakening at the US Open last week. But Sunday, he was back to his regular scheduling. 11:15am: Tee off in the leading group. 4:50pm: Weekly trophy lift.

Arnold Palmer, in 1962, was last player win six PGA Tour events between January and June. If my count is correct, Scottie Scheffler has won six of his last nine tournaments. That's Tiger territory. Anyone who has won six or more tournaments in a year on Tour is in the World Golf Hall of Fame, and should be. Scheffler amazes me; Bryson DeChambeau amazes me. All these guys amaze me. There's so much talent out there.

It was a thrill watching today. As for those moron protesters, they should serve at least a year in jail and only be allowed out, under supervision, while they clean toilets and sewers. Of course, they're probably out and ready for the next protest by now.

Trump spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt was supposed to have an interview on CNN, but it was cut short because she told the truth about some of the network’s on-air talent. Host Kasie Hunt decided to pull the plug once Leavitt exposed the network’s overt anti-Trump bias. The segment focused on the upcoming debate between Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump this Thursday and how Trump prepares for the showdown. Leavitt delivered some jabs at Biden, touted Trump’s preparedness, and lashed out at the debate moderators, Jake Tapper and Dana Bash, which did not sit well with Hunt.

Anticipation over selection over who President Trump will select as his running-mate reached fever pitch over the weekend as the 45th President proclaimed just before a rally in Philadelphia he had already made the pick in his mind. Now, reports have emerged that the list of contenders for the coveted number two spot has narrowed. NewsNation has learned Trump has finalized his list to three candidates: North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum, Ohio Senator J.D. Vance, and Florida Senator Marco Rubio. CNN and NBC have also revealed the same three names are finalists on Trump’s list. Trump’s original list also included Senators Tim Scott (R-SC) and Tom Cotton (R-AR), Representatives Byron Donalds (R-FL) and

Joe Biden's student debt relief plan suffered a major hit Monday as two federal judges partially blocked a measure of a plan that is costing the nation $160 billion. Two federal judges in Kansas and Missouri on Monday sided with several Republican-led states and stopped the Democrat from moving forward with a key student debt relief initiative. In total, the Administration has already approved almost $160 billion in relief for nearly 4.6 million borrowers. U.S. District Judge Daniel Crabtree in Wichita, Kansas, blocked the U.S. Department of Education from proceeding with parts of a plan set to take effect July 1

Melania Trump is unlikely to move into the White House if Donald wins another term in November, analysts say. Those close to the former first lady believe she will likely split her time between Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida, and New York City – especially with Barron, 18, tipped to attend New York University. Melania would instead only travel to Washington, D.C. for ceremonial responsibilities like state dinners and other special events. The decision not to live with in Washington is an unprecedented move for a first lady and a break in two-and-a-half centuries of tradition.

With Thursday's presidential debate looming, the Biden campaign has settled on a strategy: Attempt to exceed expectations. Oddly enough, that doesn't have anything to do with policy. Instead, the president's handlers are setting the stage for an "energized" Biden who can put down all the talk about his ongoing struggle with senility. More oddly, they seem rather confident he can pull it off. They're playing with fire, though. (X Video) I do not doubt that there's a plan in place to load Biden up with more amphetamines than a Los Angeles drug dealer.

On Sunday's "This Week," Martha Raddatz had a panel discussion with three "experts" on the upcoming presidential debate. The panel included Frank Luntz, and what he offered up made little sense. Luntz claims that the last two presidential campaigns, beginning with Trump versus Clinton in 2016 and then Trump versus Biden in 2020, were the beginning of the end of democracy. It seems everything in politics is “the end of democracy.” Luntz claimed that personal invectives and insults are too debasing and, apparently, a sign of the end of democracy. Luntz is a pollster, not a historian. Maybe he’s unaware of the long history of politicians insulting each other.

And in exchange for the bribes he’s soliciting door to door, hat in hand, he’s offering to let them operate with less regulation, including drilling on public lands. How fast would the police be there to arrest the agitators? How long would it be before cities across the nation were protesting and marching to demand police protection and the arrest of all KKK supporters? How many demonstrations would happen nationwide to empower (justifiably) black churches and demand their protection? In Los Angeles, we don’t need to imagine it, for on Sunday afternoon, it happened. No wonder why the Biden team departed so early to Camp David for debate preparation. The White House summoned all the top Democratic strategists and advisers to ready the president as best they could against former President Donald Trump. Before they could review any of their attack lines or soundbites touting this administration's little legislative record, they need to ensure Biden can stand for at least 90 minutes. State legislators and law enforcement are reinstating dormant laws that criminalize mask-wearing to penalize pro-Palestinian protesters who conceal their faces, raising concerns among covid-cautious Americans. Republican lawmakers in North Carolina are poised to overturn Gov. Roy Cooper’s (D) recent veto of legislation to criminalize masking. New York Gov. Kathy Hochul (D) said earlier this month she supports legislative efforts to ban masks on the subway, citing an incident where masked protesters on a train shouted, “Raise your hands if you’re a Zionist. This is your chance to get out.” Student protesters in Ohio, Texas and Florida have been threatened with arrest for covering their faces.
