Judge Merchan’s Jury Instructions Prove
Trump’s Trial Is About Power, Not The Law

If you’ve been following former President Donald Trump’s hush-money trial in New York, you might have seen the shocking news that the judge in that trial, Juan Merchan, issued bizarre and plainly unconstitutional jury instructions on Wednesday, telling jurors they need not agree on what crime Trump allegedly committed to reach a unanimous guilty verdict. (snip) the jury could come back with a guilty verdict without agreeing on whether Trump committed election fraud, tax fraud, or falsification of business records. He essentially divided the jury into three groups of four, saying that if they’re split 4-4-4 on what crime Trump committed, he’d treat that as unanimous.

No more Colombian judges and their banana republic view of the law as only a tool for punishing political rivals. Americans have fought for the Constitution that a pathetic Colombian misfit trashed in a New York courtroom. May he and failed DA Bragg roast in hell for what they have done to our Constitution.

Merchan only showed what we already knew him to be. The jurors on the other hand showed cowardice, bias, and their willing betrayal of all America should stand for. Shame on them and shame on all of us as well. I am ashamed that not even one good man was found standing.

It's the trial version of the typical Democrat "black is white" and "up is down" approach. If a jury has several charges to decide, the rule has always been that you're guilty only of those charges that all jurors unanimously agree you're guilty of. Merchan's law is that if each individual juror thinks your guilty of at least one charge, then you're guilty of all the charges. Merchan stands the law on its head.

All 12 voted unanimously----------------guilty. Merchans instructions did not do that. the jury did it. I wish all of them a long and miserable life.

I have a question: Somewhere on the 'net I read, yesterday, that this 4-4-4 BS is indeed actual New York law. If true please expound.

One of the many factors tainting a New York jury’s conviction of former President Donald Trump is the fact that the judge who oversaw the Soviet-style show trial previously donated to Joe Biden’s presidential campaign. The judge’s daughter also represents Democrat clients who raised millions off the trial. In an unsurprising move, the jury in deep-blue Manhattan found Trump guilty Thursday on all counts related to a payment his then-lawyer made to a pornographer as part of a nondisclosure agreement. The saga marks the first time in U.S. history a major party has weaponized the justice system to convict its chief political opponent ahead of a contested election.

With this result, President Trump becomes the first ever American president to be convicted of a crime. As the verdicts were read, President Trump sat still, appearing stoic, and looked straight ahead. President Trump’s attorney has previously vowed to appeal a conviction expeditiously.
