Joe Biden’s threat last week to freeze arms shipments to Israel along with reports that his administration is withholding intelligence about Hamas leaders’ whereabouts has reverberated throughout U.S. politics. Now, some Never Trump donors say the Biden administration’s policy toward the Jewish state is such a betrayal they’re considering jumping on board the Trump train. Call it the rise of the Never Bidens, donors who once were more worried about Trump but now see Joe Biden’s bid for a second term the greater threat to America. The Free Press spoke with four donors who contributed tens of millions of dollars in the last election cycle.

A Jewish Biden administration official resigned over President Joe Biden’s stance on the war in Gaza, becoming the first Jewish staffer appointed by the president to resign publicly. Lily Greenberg Call, special assistant to the chief of staff in the Interior Department, cited her Jewish heritage as the reason for her resignation. In her letter, she related her deep ties to the United States and Israel but expressed deep opposition to Israel’s conduct in its war against Hamas in Gaza, calling it a “genocide.” “The President has the power to call for a lasting ceasefire, to stop sending weapons to Israel, and to condition aid

As far as the Democrats are concerned, anyone who doubted that the 2020 presidential election was "the most secure election in American history" is an insurrectionist "election denier." And such "deniers" are, in this formulation, a threat to democracy whose efforts must be thwarted again in 2024. But the assumptions behind this mindset are the reason why it is President Joe Biden's political party, not the Republicans, that may well be the real threat to election integrity and democracy this year. Having spent the last three and a half years trashing their political foes as authoritarians, Democrats have come to believe their success at the ballot box is indistinguishable from

Democrats were hoping 2024 would be all about Donald Trump. Instead the No. 1 issue in a world on fire is Joe Biden’s incompetence. Last week, President Biden said he would withdraw military aid to Israel if it commenced military operations to go into Rafah and go after Hamas. There were many reactions to this announcement because it seemed to perfectly encapsulate the incoherent Israel policy the Biden administration has been developing since Hamas’ brutal attack last October that touched off the war in Gaza. On one hand, the American people are broadly supportive of Israel and the moral justification for this war. Lest anyone forget, Hamas

The presidential primary may be decided, but election season marches on. Voters in several states, including Maryland and West Virginia, chose nominees Tuesday in critical races that could decide the balance of power on Capitol Hill next year. Here are some early takeaways from Tuesday’s primaries: Maryland’s former Republican governor, Larry Hogan, easily won his party’s nomination for the U.S. Senate seat opened by Democratic Sen. Ben Cardin’s retirement. The Senate race in the solidly Democratic state would normally be a snoozer, but Hogan is a candidate unlike any other Republican.

The Federalist's Mollie Hemingway on Tuesday's 'Special Report' commented on potential Republican vice presidential picks visiting former President Donald Trump at his New York trial: "You can't really be a potential V.P. contender if you don't take a strong position against this lawfare. But I'm not sure if you can have a future in the Republican party period if you are not speaking out against this." "Again, it shouldn't be a partisan issue," Hemingway continued. "Attacks on the courts. Using the courts to go after political opponents that destroys rule of law for everybody. So it would probably be good if you saw some sober-minded individuals

Americans can be forgiven for suffering from whiplash regarding law and order. In recent weeks the Biden administration and many news outlets, including USA Today and The Hill, have touted declines in violent crime statistics to argue that America is becoming a safer place. “Right now, with 2023 figures and early 2024, the trends are all pointing down, in a positive direction,” Jeff Asher, whose New Orleans-based AH Datalytics is developing his own “Real-Time Crime Index,” told RealClearInvestigations. Conservative outlets, including City Journal and the editorial page of the Wall Street Journal, assert that minor declines in headline grabbers like homicides fail to capture what is really happening

None of the five civil and criminal cases currently lodged against former President Donald Trump have ever had merit. They were all predicated on using the law to injure his re-election candidacy—given a widespread derangement syndrome among the left and a fear they cannot entrust a Trump/Biden election to the people. These criminal and civil trials are merely the continuation of extra-legal efforts of the last eight years to destroy a presidential candidate in lieu of opposing him in transparent elections.

President Biden’s 2025 budget proposal provides a salient reminder that he is no moderate, despite his attempts to position himself as one. Biden’s tax proposals would effectively increase the top federal marginal tax rate on long-term capital gains to 44.6%, a record high since the tax was enacted in the 1920s. As a result, taxes paid on long-term capital gains would reach levels above 50% in some states after accounting for state capital gains taxes. Biden also proposed increasing the corporate income tax rate from 21% to 28% and presented a 25% tax on unrealized capital gains for individuals whose net worth exceeds $100 million. These proposals present two problems.

President Joe Biden has given far fewer interviews to major news organizations than any of his predecessors, and his appalling performance on CNN this week shows why. In just 15 minutes, the president proved himself completely ignorant about recent economic history and totally out of touch with the reality people face. Asked by Erin Burnett if he can convince voters to trust him more on the economy than Donald Trump, Biden began by denying the premise of the question. “The polling data has been wrong all along,” he claimed. “How many — you guys do a poll at CNN. How many folks you have to call to get one response?”

Even for those of us who have long been critics of the “hush money” case against Donald Trump and its dubious legal theory, it has been surprising to see that the prosecutors had no more evidence than we previously knew about. The assumption was that no rational prosecutor would base a major criminal case almost entirely on the testimony of Michael Cohen, who was recently denounced by a judge as a serial perjurer peddling “perverse” theories in court. The calculus of Alvin Bragg is now obvious. He is counting on the jury convicting Trump regardless of the evidence.

The former president is on trial for allegedly falsifying business records to cover up a hush money payment to porn star Stormy Daniels amid the 2016 presidential election.

President Biden and former President Donald Trump on Wednesday made their plans to officially debate, but the offer from the Biden team came with several strings attached. Trump gave Biden an open invitation to debate anytime, anywhere, and Biden rose to the challenge, telling Trump to "make my day" in a heavily edited video on social media. Alongside Biden's announcement came a letter from his campaign to the Commission on Presidential Debates (CPD), and that letter revealed a few critical limits that Biden's team was placing on any debate between him and Trump.

It’s a long list of possible names for the increasingly important vice presidential job, as the latest I&I/TIPP Poll indicates. As part of our monthly national online poll, taken from May 1-3, we asked 538 Republicans, and those who lean that way, two questions about who they preferred as Trump’s vice president. The poll has a margin of error of +/-4.3 percentage points. First we asked a straightforward question: “Who is your top choice for Trump’s vice president?”

Several jurors said that we should respect the justice system because, someday, we might need it to respect us. California Gov. As CalMatters noted, deficit estimates ranged from $38 billion to $73 billion: That prompted Newsom and the Legislature to take “early action” last month to reduce the deficit by more than $17 billion ahead of the regular budget process. Their plan included some program cuts, but mostly relied on new revenue, internal borrowing and funding delays and shifts for savings,

Instead, it cost them millions, leading to yesterday’s news that Chapter 11 bankruptcy is imminent and will be filed before Memorial Day. Hundreds of millions of dollars in debt are set to be restructured, with dozens of locations slated for closure (via WSJ): (X)
