Although not a psychologist, I nevertheless convinced thousands of trusting souls to open their mouths (and wallets) for needles, drills, forceps, foul tastes, strange smells, not-good vibrations, and bills beyond imagination for more than forty years.
And after the obligatory formalities and a couple jabs of the ol’ Novocain had been dispensed with, I’d sit, patiently waiting for profound anesthesia, and provide free psychoanalysis to my patients.
I’d listen carefully — most times — and then, no matter what the patient’s problem was, I’d say, “You have a problem with congruity.”

The Chicago Teachers Union (CTU) has many demands in their latest salvo in negotiating a new contract with the public schools system.
While the union’s demands have not been made public, Fox News reports a leaked document “sheds light on the eye-popping demands.”
The $50 billion they are asking for includes a 9% wage hike, fully paid abortions for its members, new migrant services and facilities, and a myriad of LGBT-related requirements.
According to Fox News, the total base tax receipts for the state of Illinois last year were $50.7 billion.

President Trump this weekend called for Jack Smith to be arrested after the Special Counsel admitted in a court filing that he lied to the court about the classified documents seized from Mar-a-Lago.
“ARREST DERANGED JACK SMITH. HE IS A CRIMINAL!” Trump said in a Truth Social post this weekend. Jack Smith admitted he lied to the Court about the classified documents seized from Mar-a-Lago in a motion filed late Friday night. Special Counsel Jack Smith on Friday evening responded to Trump’s co-defendant Walt Nauta’s motion to extend a deadline for disclosures in the classified documents case.

The United States Military Academy at West Point is introducing a new curriculum that includes courses on “deconstructing patriotism,” “cross-dressing in the military,” and other topics related to gender norms and representation.
These courses are part of a broader initiative by the Biden regime to integrate diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) propaganda into the curriculum over duty, honor, and country.
Former Navy SEAL and Representative Scott Taylor (R-VA) tweeted his concerns after the curriculum was reportedly shared with him, stating, “This was sent to me, classes at U.S. Military Academy at West Point.

Increasing numbers of worried Americans have been wondering over the last few years whether progressive Democrats have succeeded in creating a police state in America. From the Russia Hoax to the revelations of the Twitter Files release, to the coordinated attempts to quash scandalous and true Biden family stories, to the blatant display of dual justice, they’ve seen that the cabal of one political party, with its power bases in the government and the sycophant media, has succeeded in limiting or destroying political opponents while eliminating individual rights. Just how bad is it? Has that cabal suspended our American Constitution and Bill

FBI agents have taken possession of Senator Lindsey Graham’s phone following concerns of a security breach, the senator revealed during a recent discussion on artificial intelligence regulations at The Hill and Valley Forum.
Senator Graham (R-SC) reported that the issue occurred after he received a deceptive message from someone posing as Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY).
“You know, my phone is in the hands of the FBI now,” Graham said during Wednesday’s panel discussion.

What is it with these people?
In the latest instance of these antisemitic, hate-spewing, miseducated twerps treating their intrusive thoughts like honored guests, students (and probably more than a few professional agitators, as we have learned) at George Washington University held a "People's Tribunal" putting many of the school's faculty on symbolic trial and demanding their deaths. Yes, really.

None of the liberals calling for Trump's head know what he's accused of, they just know he did it. They don't remember how the previous accusations ended or even what they were, despite having taken the strongest of positions; and here they are, again, taking the strongest position on the one issue they want you to know they care about: Donald Trump is Guilty.
So that's the Manhattan jury pool. Almost all of them read the New York Times so it's no wonder. But to be fair, no one else knows what Trump's accused of, either.

Many on the left, including countless media organizations, keep trying to put lipstick on a pig and tell us it is Cindy Crawford. Yes, even today, some are characterizing President Biden as competent or even above average.
And then there is The New Republic. Proclaiming Biden to be a “great” president, as The New Republic recently did, is akin to saying Pete Buttigieg is a “great” Secretary of Transportation…as trains keep derailing, plane parts fall from the sky, and ports are closed due to errant container ships and bridge collapses. But, keep in mind, The New Republic is to journalism what White Castle is to haute cuisine.

This week is the 150th running of the Kentucky Derby -- thought to be the longest continuous sporting event held at one venue in the whole world. As I wrote a while back, it’s also the most anti-woke celebration on the planet, floated on an ocean of that most American liquid -- bourbon whiskey.
But then, there is just a lot of great history and lessons to learn in the racing game, especially as it all tends to reinforce the conservative worldview. For example, we have the sad story of human greed and the late, great Arlington Park racetrack outside Chicago, in Arlington Heights.

The 19th-century Prussian general Karl Von Clausewitz famously said: “War is not an independent phenomenon, but the continuation of politics by different means.” Or as we more often hear it, “War is but politics by different means.” Some predict that America is on the verge of a hot war. But while it’s true that our country is more divided than ever, it may not be as divided as the pro-Hamas, anti-American protesters hope.
War is what generally happens when two (or more) sides get to a point where they can no longer peacefully coexist with the current circumstances.

Former Trump prosecutor Mark Pomerantz is forced to invoke his 5th Amendment right against self-incrimination when asked, under oath, if he violated the law during his investigation to get President Trump.
Pomerantz, a former senior prosecutor on the Manhattan DA’s team investigating Trump resigned in protest after District Attorney Alvin Bragg ended the investigation.
Pomerantz testified before the House Judiciary Committee back in May 2023 and pleaded the 5th when he was asked under oath if he violated the law to get Trump.
