No, the nation will not survive if there isn't a reckoning for politicians overtly working against Americans. History is full of stories of oppressed people rising and overcoming the tyrants who have wronged them. Sometimes the stories end with the two sides peacefully agreeing to make changes. Other times it has ended in a one-way walk up the stairs to a guillotine. Romania's despotic communist leader, Nicolae Ceausescu, had his brains relocated to a brick wall after Romanians had enough of his tyranny. Italy's Fascist WWII leader, Benito Mussolini, was last seen hanging upside down in Milan

And it wasn't just Nicolae Ceausescu. Also summarily executed against a wall by machine gun a moment after conviction on Christmas Day 1989 was "good communist" Elena Ceausescu. Perhaps the bigger question is whether we can endure the prosecution and conviction of the innocent and ensnared.

We really can't let these criminals just skate. Lois Lerner should have been put in prison. Retiring, with full benefits is NOT OK. It is NOT punishment for criminality. And we have dozens in the FBI who are guilty, and the DoJ, and probably the CIA. Criminals all and they are expecting at worst to get retired....with full benefits. They need prison time, and we must have a change of venue for ALL OF THEM to someplace like Great Bend, Kansas or Pierre, SD, or some small city in North Texas. NOT in DC where they'll find ANY leftist innocent and any Republican guilty, facts be damned.

If the question refers to those who really are criminally guilty and are left unpunished, then no, America as founded will not survive. If the question refers to those who are considered politically guilty by party opposition and are also seen as criminally guilty, then also, no, America as founded will not survive. So, L.Dotters, who do you think is behind this? And when do you think this reckoning come to the forefront? You are good with the new Amerika, then?

Reading Isaiah, chapters 1-3, is like modern day America looking at herself in a mirror. Our Founders were victorious because of their faith and reliance on God and His word to lead them to victory. We will never be victorious over this evil unless we and those that we choose to lead us do the same. “It is not in man who walks to direct his own steps.” (Jeremiah 10:23) Too many have bought into the misinterpretation & misinformation about a separation between church and state. That isn’t the only misinterpretation & misinformation that has been spread about our founding documents, but it is the necessary one to allow the humanistic perversion of the rest of them. Repentance and obedience to God is the first step toward healing our land. (2 Chronicles 7:14) We need leaders who not only talk the talk, but courageously & unashamedly walk the walk of faith & reliance on God and His word. That doesn’t mean that they must be preachers. It doesn’t mean they will never make a mistake. It does mean that God’s providence will help them, and US, through to the good, just as it did those who bequeathed the greatness of this nation to us. I notice that those who are faithful followers of false gods have no hesitation to “wear their religion on their sleeves” and demand acceptance and accommodation to practice it in this country. The very people who proclaim a separation between church and state are the most accepting and accommodating of their demands. Almighty God has given all authority to Jesus Christ, who will judge us. God will not be mocked. We flawed humans either stand in the strength of the God of the Bible as our founders did, or we lose this free land that was built on it. The time for deciding is upon us, & that time grows shorter by the day.

Anti-Israel hecklers crashed a Tuesday dinner that U.C. Berkeley’s Jewish law school dean hosted for graduating students, days after activists circulated a blood libel cartoon targeting the dean and referencing the planned dinner. Malak Afaneh, the head of Berkeley Law Students for Justice in Palestine, stood in the midst of the backyard dinner hosted by law school dean Erwin Chemerinsky and his wife while roughly 60 law students were eating. Wearing a keffiyeh and hijab, she delivered an anti-Israel speech through a microphone, according to a Wednesday statement from Chemerinsky and an Instagram video from the Bay Area Palestinian Youth Movement that depicted the disruption. You know the stereotype of the NPR listener: an EV-driving, Wordle-playing, tote bag–carrying coastal elite. It doesn’t precisely describe me, but it’s not far off. I’m Sarah Lawrence–educated, was raised by a lesbian peace activist mother, I drive a Subaru, and Spotify says my listening habits are most similar to people in Berkeley. I fit the NPR mold. I’ll cop to that. So when I got a job here 25 years ago, I never looked back. As a senior editor on the business desk where news is always breaking, we’ve covered upheavals in the workplace, supermarket prices, social media, and AI. It’s true NPR has always had a liberal bent, but

One of the things that frustrated me about Trump’s (first?) term was his seeming complete indifference to #TheResistance that manifested before he even took office. Unelected bureaucrats working in the ridiculously invasive executive branch’s many agencies, publicly declared war on him, and he . . . well, he did nothing. Until the final year of his presidency when he seemed to finally take aim at the problem in his own branch of government–we can call it the deep state, the resistance, the entrenched bureaucrats who oversee far too much policy in America and who are, apparently, answerable to no one. Not the voter, not the president. So then-president Trump launched

New York City Mayor Eric Adams is facing another legal matter that could cast even more of a negative light on his administration. Federal investigators are looking into complimentary flight upgrades he received from Turkish Airlines. The investigation aims to ascertain whether corruption was involved in Adams’ relationship with the airline and other elements in Turkey. "The scrutiny is part of a broad corruption inquiry that has already led the F.B.I. to search the homes of the former top New York-based executive of Turkish Airlines and aides to Mr. Adams, who has frequently traveled abroad and has made no secret of his affinity for flying on the Turkish carrier.

Jacobson, wife of former GOP strategist Mark Penn, said that the group would only have offered to field a ticket if there had been a credible path to victory. There never was, and No Labels is finished. “No such candidates emerged, so the responsible course of action is for us to stand down,” Jacobson said. She added that the group

A funny thing happened on our way to our all-electric future: reality. I've written at length in recent weeks about Presidentish Joe Biden's hamfisted and wrongheaded EPA rules meant to force everybody into electric vehicles, whether EVs suit their needs or not. But maybe nothing to compare to Oliver Price's headline on Wednesday, asking "Is this the end of the EV?" Well, no. But we're still far, far away from the end of dino-burning engines — and likely to stay that way for far longer than the grifters in the EV industry and the autocrats in Washington (and several states, too) would have you believe.

Joe Biden officially abandoned Israel on Thursday during a phone call with Benjamin Netanyahu, conditioning further American support on stopping civilian casualties while demanding an immediate ceasefire. If Israel were to oblige, it would represent a full-scale capitulation to Hamas, which would be able to regroup and retain its power while not even having to release the hostages. If that all sounds familiar, it just so happens to be what Jill Biden recently demanded of her husband behind the scenes. Yes, the president's wife is apparently running the country. Conventional wisdom tells us that religious faith is on a downward slope, particularly when it comes to Christianity. Of course, there aren’t many ways to separate nominal Christians from genuine believers when compiling statistics, but many measurements show that Christianity is on the decline in the West. The state of Christianity in Europe can be discouraging. The continent that was once the heart and soul of Christendom is increasingly godless. But is there encouragement on the horizon? One podcaster and writer thinks so. Justin Brierley, the author of “The Surprising Rebirth of Belief in God” and host of the “Unbelievable” podcast, writes in The Spectator

So, we are both making cuts to city budgets to meet this financial need, and we are making cuts to the amount of services we can provide to the migrants that arrive and to the number of folks that we can serve.”
