"Nobody goes to Florida anymore. It's too crowded." —NBC News, unintentionally doing its best Yogi Berra impersonation.
Citing "a perfect storm of soaring insurance costs, a hostile political environment, worsening traffic, and extreme weather," a weekend report from NBC left the impression — totally accidentally, you can be sure — that things have never been worse in the Sunshine State. That's according to "more than a dozen recent transplants and longtime residents who left the state in the past two years." "There's no better data than anecdata" is the first thing they teach you in How to Journalism 101.
Egads, there are guns, too! “Everyone is walking around with guns there,”

"A hostile political climate"....for obnoxious leftist nutballs, yeah, and that's a PLUS for us Normals. Does this dimwit not know that 26 states now have Constuttional Carry, and that even in places like NY, NJ, etc where "guns are illegal" (not quite) all the BAD GUYS are carrying guns, you fool. Constitutional Carry just means that the law abiding citizens can ALSO carry guns.
And storms are NOT increasing, this is just an oft repeated media lie. Yes it is HOT, and very humid. Yankee's stay home!

Over here on the right side of Florida we’ve been inundated with snowbirds. They’re finally starting their northern migration but they’ve been buying houses or condos which has contributed to the high housing costs. Local merchants love them because they spend a lot of money here but the crowds…boo.

No state income tax, a death penalty and you're encouraged to shoot criminals breaking into your house in the middle of the night. Where do I sign up?

Next from NBC- Trying to find 12 people who actually moved to California, or New York, or Chicago, or Boston who weren't illegal aliens.

My PA county has helped rid Florida of two unfortunately "woke" retirees who chose to live here because it's a good place for retirees to settle. The person ~ believe it or not ~ who forced this individual and his wife to move here was this country's worst criminal, Matt Gaetz. According to one of his letters to the local paper, he had spent much of his life in Florida trying to remove Gaetz from office. When his efforts failed he no longer wanted to live in a state controlled by a party of "criminals". He continues to write letters celebrating his wokeness and castigating anyone who isn't. He's such a gem.
Unfortunately people exactly like him are retiring here because we have many really nice retirement communities to serve them. We're still a very conservative county but for how long?

I live in Broward County, which is the part of south Florida between Miami and Palm Beach. There is no place like home. Every day, my wife and I chat together about how lucky we are. We have no antifa, no homeless congregation, no Venezuelan gangs, no demand for reparations, no Hamas lovers rioting (there is a mosque and a church within a mile), no large BLM presence. It is a quiet haven, maybe even boring, but boring is good. Yes it is hot in the summer, but we pay less for AC than people up north pay for heat. No blizzards of snow, no baseball size hail, no floods (the water mains into the ocean are opened during heavy storms), never seen a tornado. We have hurricanes, but a strong one only once in a while. I live in a mixed middle class neighborhood. I have never seen any taunting or racism. People here walk the streets at night without looking over their shoulders. My wife and I give thanks for all of this. Our only concern is that liberals fleeing to Florida, from the disasters they have created with their votes, will make the same mistake here and ruin this utopia.

Just spent 2-1/2 weeks on the bay in Florida. Lovely weather, beautiful environment, friendly people, good food, and minimum wrong crowd. It was heaven.

Speaking of everyone walking around with guns, I’m happy to report that South Carolina finally passed Constitutional Carry last month and governor McMaster signed it!

GOOD. The roads are becoming impassable. It's tourist season, so why can't we shoot them?

Too bad they didn't shoot themselves in the head. Everyone would be better off.

And I can say is the weather hasn’t changed since I moved here 25 years ago. Yes the housing insurance is ridiculous and does need to be addressed. I would agree. The traffic has increased but it’s not that noticeable but I really don’t care if people stop coming here for whatever reason. It is better than any liberal city.

That's good news for me. With the Climate destroying homes near the ocean I've got a real estate agent scouring Marco Island for me for a nice seaside place under $250K.
