Former Representative Liz Cheney issued a warning to the United States Supreme Court about its handling of former President Donald Trump's claims of presidential immunity. The Supreme Court is expected to hear arguments into Trump's immunity claims on April 25. His legal team has argued presidential immunity should shield Trump from being charged in the Department of Justice (DOJ) case surrounding alleged attempts at thwarting the 2020 election results. The DOJ last year charged the former president with attempting to overturn the 2020 presidential election results, culminating in the January 6, 2021, Capitol riot, as well as alleged efforts to

My gawd, the woman is full of herself. She has no power or influence yet she continuously runs her mouth as if she's some kind of oracle. She isn't and no one gives a flying flip about her opinions. She should just go away and quit annoying us all.

Why do politicians, or anyone else, believe they have the right to "issue warnings" to the SCOTUS?? This is the second such article I've seen this week. I hope they flip her the appropriate appendange in response via the proper ruling.

Must be nice to be sooooo special that she can tell the Supreme Court what to do. But then. She just sees how that works for those that can and do control them. Just ask Robert’s how that worked for Obamacare

"It cannot be the case that a president of the United States can attempt to overturn an election and seize power and that our justice system is incapable of holding a trial and holding him to account before the next election."
I agree...It was/is Biden that overturned an election and seized power. Not Trump...a sitting President cannot "Insurrection" against himself, and has no reason to "Seize Power" he already holds it. NONE of the discrepancies in votes, ballots counted with out being confirmed as legitimate, out of state voters still being counted, Rules ignored, laws unenforced, millions more Ballots than lawful voters have been tried or tested in ANY courts. Both Wisconsin's supreme court and legislature have ruled their states election invalid and unlawful...Ga clearly should have(and still can) do the same, as should AZ....until Pa explains in some logical and legitimate way WHERE the 300,000 excess ballots came from NONE of those states counts should be considered legitimate. Congress investigated and adjudicated "Inflategate" where they claim a 3lb sq in pressure differential nullified a season of sports scores....LONG AFTER the fact. Why isn't the election "Unusualities" being treated as at LEAST as important?
EVERYTHING Trump did in order to affirm/confirm the proper and Lawful election tallies and counts WAS and IS based upon the Laws, and precedents, taken by other candidates in other elections Particularly in that many of the things he was protesting were actions unprecedented in ANY election, and that were counter to the State and Federal election LAWS. At least 19 states have since passed legislation AFFIRMING that actions taken were unlawful, and banned them from ever being done again.

The Deep State hubris of this woman is outrageous. These people really believe they are the ones running the country and to heck with the Constitution or rule of law and representative government. Any opposition is to be dealt with quickly and with the maximum punishment. Trump is their target now, but they are looking forward to the day they can unleash holy hades on the rest of us.

so called "Evidence" from her committee, withheld from Trumps defenses, and intentionally hiding exculpatory testimony was used to collect his business and tax files, shopped out by her and her staff to the prosecutors after him now...including Fanni Willis, Letitia James, Smith, and Bragg.
SHE is the one that encouraged them and fed them "secret data" they used in grand juries, and in courts for subpoena powers.

Once again, she deliberately mangles the Trump position, She says he says that a pres cannot be held liable for anything he does while pres. He says only that a pres cannot be held liable for acting within his official duties…the same standard that is spread far and wide over public servants of all levels, species, colors, genders, and affiliations
