A Massachusetts city has sued its only hotel for shutting to the public and overloading its rooms with 450 migrants in a $10 million-a-year taxpayer-funded deal with the state. The Republican-led city of Taunton seeks $115,000 from the 155-room Clarion Hotel for housing more migrant families than it can safely hold. The hotel last year reportedly struck a nine-year deal with the Democrat-run state to become an emergency shelter for migrants, who are pouring across the southern border. Taunton residents say this is bad for the city of 60,000 people, which loses out on business because the closest operating hotel

The state originally claimed only 18 families would be at the hotel. Now it's overstuffed with 400+ illegal immigrants. Police are called to the hotel almost every day,

Nine years, $10 million/year. Words fail me. City by city, town by town, this country will be doing a slow death, funded by the taxpayers.

That works out to $176.00 per night, per room, equivalent to "Trump Tower Prices" with guaranteed full occupancy.. A 911/emt call every day to that location, and no mention of how many ER/Public health services, billed to the local taxpayers...How many Kids are booked into the schools? Biden etall worked out a deal in advance to Contract 10 YEARS at ten million per to the Hotel...they never even gave NOTICE to the Local Tax payer funded agencies that will have an even GREATER cost to absorb..."Unfunded mandate". Biden etal made similar contracts with hotels in Texas and elswhere...Even when rooms were never filled, the Hotels got paid. Some at between $250-350 per night/per room. The nearly $100Million contract for this ONE hotel...could have built several more miles of WALL, or closed up numerous gaps, finished hanging missing Gates, reduced the crossings by TEN TIMES the number being housed. Who owns the Hotels? A Democratic politician,Stewart Bainum Jr, was a member of the Maryland House of Delegates from 1979 to 1982 and the Maryland Senate from 1983 to 1986. His father founded and owned "Manor Care Nursing Home Inc" and a major pharmaceutical company, "Junior" is now chairman of them all. He was a Yuuuuge donor/bundler to Clnton, then Obama, then Clinton, then Biden. Is a Hotel/motel $billionaire much bigger than Trump.

LONDON — Unilever, the company that makes Ben & Jerry’s ice cream, Dove soaps and Vaseline, said Tuesday that it is cutting 7,500 jobs and spinning off its ice cream business to reduce costs and boost profits. London-based Unilever said its ice cream business, which also includes Magnum bars, has “distinct characteristics” from its other brands and would benefit from separate ownership to increase growth. It said the split is expected to be completed by the end of next year. The British consumer goods company with 128,000 employees also said it is launching a “productivity program” that is expected to

A transcript of President Joe Biden's interview with the special counsel who investigated his handling of classified information contradicts the president's characterization of an exchange about the death of his son, Beau Biden, from brain cancer. More than 100 Palestinians were killed and hundreds more injured in the Gaza Strip early Thursday, Hamas-affiliated health officials said — which Israel blamed on a massive stampede of people desperately clamoring for aid. About 104 people were killed while waiting for aid at the al-Nabusi roundabout to the west of Gaza City, Gaza Health Ministry spokesperson Ashraf al-Qidra said, accusing Israeli troops of opening fire. “There were so many dead and wounded that medics were overwhelmed and could not cope with the severity of their injuries,” he said. The five-door hatchback doesn't have the best range or fanciest amenities. But what it does have is a top price under $14,000, good safety features, aggressive looks, and plenty of financial backing from Beijing. BYD's specialties are batteries and high-tech manufacturing, and they're using both to aggressively expand overseas production and deliveries. An improved version for South American markets, called the Dolphin Mini, is already on sale, starting at $21,990.

The UN Security Council has rejected a US-sponsored resolution calling for an "immediate and sustained ceasefire" in Gaza. It comes after permanent members Russia and China chose to veto a motion tabled on Friday. Israel has been coming under increasing pressure to allow more humanitarian aid to reach over two million Palestinians - and better protect civilians. The draft had undergone "many rounds of consultations" with members of the 15-seat council, and marked a toughening of America's stance towards Israel. Linda Thomas-Greenfield, the US ambassador to the UN, said the resolution's failure was "really outrageous and below the dignity of the UN Security Council".
