The Incredible Shrinking Elizabeth Warren

Original Article

Sen. Elizabeth Warren, who once was a formidable force in Washington, D.C., and hoped one day to be president of the United States, is now so desperate to grab a sliver of the spotlight she’s taking on Big Snack Food and Big Toilet Paper. She managed only to reveal how irrelevant and economically ignorant she really is. In a campaign email, a tweet, and a video, Warren complains that consumers are getting ripped off. “Have you ever finished a bag of Doritos and thought, ‘Whoa — there should have been a lot more chips in here’? You were right,” she exclaims.

Even a broken watch is right twice a day. Yes, snack food is a big rip off and the bags are getting emptier and emptier all the time. My response has been to buy off brands or not at all. Where she got it wrong was that it is up to the government to fix it. They caused it. They caused it on purpose. They dont get to fix it. Besides, they quit making the best snack food when they took Mr. Salty pretzels off the market. A pox on all their houses.

Reminds me of her "Honey, you want a beer" moment on social media. She needs to check with Nancy to see if her chocolate ice cream packages are getting smaller. Maybe they could produce a White Paper report on the effects runaway inflation has on food. Inflation they caused on so many levels. The difference is they are millionaires. Lots of money solves lots of problems and I am sure TP is way at the bottom of her list of problems. Who does she think she is kidding with her fake concern?

The ruling class’ obsession with building a carbon dioxide-free world has blinded it to material facts. The Al Gores and Gavin Newsoms and John Kerrys of the West believe they only have to bark orders and seize other people’s money and their green dreams will be realized. When are they going to understand their wishes are not everyone else’s command? There are many examples of the ruling class’ failure to recognize its limitations in regard to energy. The electric vehicle backlash comes to mind. So do the many green “investments” that have turned out to be financial holes of a different color. For this commentary, though,

In other words, Biden did it, Biden broke the law, but he is too mentally deficient for anyone to believe he either really did it on purpose or, after the fact, could

Recently, the legislature in my home state of Alabama told public four-year colleges to report how much they spend on “diversity, equity and inclusion.” The amount: $16.2 million. Are taxpayers getting anything for this money? DEI advocates say it’s a good investment. Paulette Granberry Russell, the president of the National Association of Diversity Officers in Higher Education, says that anti-DEI legislation ultimately would prevent historically marginalized students from fully engaging in higher education. But is that true? To find out, I looked at spending on DEI programs at prominent colleges and enrollment of black students at those schools.

But now that Trump is leading in polls, the left is talking ominously about a “coup.” Pay attention, because if Trump wins in 2024, this will be how the left tries to stop him from getting anything done. Trump wins 43% of the overall vote, while Biden gets 41% in the national online I&I/TIPP Poll, taken from Jan. 31-Feb. 2, with 1,266 registered voters participating. The political left argues that the immigrants illegally crossing our borders are in search of better lives, and that those who want to stop the flood are hateful, heartless bigots and racists. Morality is a certainly central to the dilemma, but it’s not the morality that much of the Democratic Party wants everyone to believe it is. An average of more than 200,000 immigrants a month have illegally jumped America’s southern border during Joe Biden’s three years in the White House, almost four times the monthly rate of crossings under Donald Trump. By any fair description, our southern border is open, and this has created a humanitarian crisis

Elites are individuals who occupy the upper strata in society through either wealth, politics, sports, religion, and/or social status (such as entertainment), and they have been a part of society for millennia. Because of human nature, elites have usually — though not always — considered themselves to be better than those below them or have simply been indifferent to them. By the same token, those below the elites have either envied them, worshipped them, been hostile towards them, or have just simply been indifferent to them, occupying different worlds of which they were not privy to, though they might have been curious.
