As this year's UN climate conference gets underway in earnest, heads of state and government are addressing the world. Their speeches give an insight into what is at stake during the upcoming two weeks of negotiations.
Speakers at COP28 on Friday include Mohammed Bin Salman of Saudi Arabia, a leading oil producer, and Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of India, where sprawling cities suffer from worsening air pollution. UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres was among the first to speak.
Reiterating his message that unprecedented global heating is causing human suffering, he called on leaders to take urgent action.
"We cannot save a burning planet with a fire hose of fossil fuels ...

UN Secretary Guterres should make a good start in NYC to tell his UN members to stop double parking whilst visiting prostitutes and letting their chauffeur run the car so that it is warm when they get back in. Or AC in the summer. He might also inform them that they should eat less hamburgers and not shove these huge steaks into their greedy mouth. Let them eat the garbage they ate before they came to the US.

There is big money to be made by saving our planet which is no need of " saving" .

Biggest [feces]-show on the planet!
Estimated SEVENTY THOUSAND 'participants' to attend the 'conference' (that is, the Party).
.... and THEY won't be eating bugs. It's more like Filet Mignon, Foi Gras and Caviar.
And just how many of these hypocrites are arriving by Private Jet? (I have nothing against private jets, but that is the form of transport that the Greenies love to demonize.... except when THEY use them!
John 'Lurch' Kerry and King Charlie of 'Jolly Old' sure aren't going to get there by commercial airliner!
Meantime, self-proclaimed (rules-exempt) 'developing nation' China produced 4.3 BILLION Cubic Meters of coal in 2023, 65% of the total world coal production. (The USA production was 7.5%)

If these people were serious, they would do the whole thing via Zoom or other online means.
No, this has NOTHING to do with the 'environment.
It is simply a system they are building to weaken the Western countries and to control the rest of us.
And I don't see it mentioned, but my gut tells me that the US Taxpayers are footing the bill for most -if not all-of this.
These people are Evil.

I wish all of the UN climate gurus would starve themselves, and not try to starve those who know their "climate science" is made-up totalitarian BS.

They were going to publicly release the multivariate statistical analysis of scientifically-gathered climate data - - which proves with 99% certainty - - that human activity is causing catastrophic climate change - - but - -
- - but the copier ran out of toner - - so they have to wait another year before they can show it to us.
Wait for it.

Please schedule their next year conference at an outdoor site near the North Pole in January. It should be quite warm by then based on their global warming predictions.

We have already survived expert predicted extinction several times during just my lifetime, so I guess I’ll ignore this one. Not that it isn’t coming, but I expect it will be a Big Boom rather than a slow heat or cold or viral manner.

The younger generations have been brainwashed into believing this BS to the point where they have genuine "climate anxiety" i.e. a chronic fear of environmental doom.

We're in the bottom 5% of temps experienced since the end of the last ice age. It was warmer during the Medieval Warming. It was warmer still during the Roman Warming. And the Minoan Warming was even more warm. Those did not harm the planet... but it let agriculture thrive on Greenland, grape vine grow in Scotland, and civilization expand.
If history is any guide, and it is, the next REAL climate change will be a transition to the next Ice Age.
As per usual, if they say look left; look right.

Has anybody thought to ask them why countries who live solely on the oil in their ground are demanding that the rest of the world quit using oil? Sounds kinda suicidal to me.
