US commits to shutting down its coal plants
during COP28

The Biden Administration is forging ahead with its green agenda by committing the United States to not building any new coal plants and phasing out existing plants. U.S. Special Envoy for Climate John Kerry announced at the annual United Nations climate change summit, known as COP28 and which is being held in Dubai, although no date was given for when the existing plants would have to go. "We will be working to accelerate unabated coal phase-out across the world, building stronger economies and more resilient communities.”

Comments:

Where did unelected and unaccountable John ("Do you know who I am?) Francois Kerry get the authority to make any commitments to anyone about anything? The horse-faced thumb sucker needs to run back to the Teresa Heinz compound safe place.

Umm..the US does not build coal plants. Companies do (or did). Kerry is not authorized to make treaties for the US. Neither is Biden. Eventually, the conflict between needing more e power for more people for more uses is going to run afoul of the dream to abandon fossil, ignore nuc, and now to demolish hydro dams.

Dan Bongino says "it is not bad enough yet" for many Americans to become truly alarmed. But I think we are rapidly reaching critical mass. I am betting on a terrible event to wake EVERYONE up. Of course, at that point, it will be too late. Just asking the readers. Do any of your friends or family seem concerned? We are witnessing our nation" die by a thousand cuts". Watching an individual commit suicide is horrible. Watching the greatest country on the planet do it is unthinkable.

"Texas Has Seized More Than 422 Million Lethal Doses of Fentanyl Since 2021. More than enough to kill all Americans," the Texas governor wrote.

Israeli lawmakers on Monday approved the key part of a divisive judicial overhaul plan pushed by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Part of the plan -- which was proposed as a sweeping reform by Netanyahu's hardline nationalist government -- removes the court system's ability to strike down "unreasonable" decisions by the government. Critics said it would mark a move away from democratic ideals. Supporters said it would claw back some power from unelected judges.

The Biden administration will release 1 million barrels of oil each day for the next six months from U.S. reserves amid high gasoline prices. The plan announced Thursday is an effort to relieve some inflation associated with rising gasoline prices and combat other supply shortages that partly stem from Russia's invasion of Ukraine. "This record release will provide a historic amount of supply to serve as bridge until the end of the year when domestic production ramps up," the White House said. President Biden is expected to formally announce the move at a White House event Thursday afternoon.
