Bidenomics: The High Price of Gaslighting

Anyone still wondering why voters trust former President Trump more than President Biden on the economy should read what the White House posted on X about inflation last week: “Ahead of the holiday season, costs are down for everything from airline tickets and car rentals to toys and TVs.” Biden and his underlings continue to believe public disapproval of his disastrous economic performance can be improved with happy talk and cherry picked statistics. It assumes Americans can’t remember how much less the cost of living was when Biden was elected.

Not exactly on topic, but related... I look forward to a public burning of the Biden's and Obama's portraits on the south lawn. Then sweep every square inch of the WH for bugs and then confiscate the passports of every Dem and RINO who had anything to do with the misery they've put us through for the last six years.....for starters. Forgiveness is not an option!

The Obama-Biden circus continues to manipulate the price of gasoline by pennies to make the cost of everything else fall under a certain average but one visit to the grocery store rips their scheme apart. You can't spend trillions of dollars on leftist fantasies and not affect the cost of everything else. Isn't it about time to give up on your green-weenie EV vehicle boondoggle and open up the country for oil drilling? That is a critical step in saving the country before everything blows wide open. One of the major rules in Economics 101 is that the customer is always right. An addendum is that the US Government is always wrong.

The lies don’t hold up in the aisles of the grocery store. I honestly don’t know how people can afford to feed their families.

Unfortunately far too many would rather continue to be lied to than face the fact that they built their entire political perspective and positions on a pack of lies. It's a tough pill to swallow to admit that you have been had, hoodwinked, scammed. Admitting to the gaslighting on the economy might be the pulling on the yarn that unravels the whole sweater. Speaking of gaslighting, how about the very term "Bidenomics?" The implication is that Biden's economic policy has some academic or at least thought out plan. What Biden has done is loot the economy by printing money, committing future generations to either war or servitude, canbializing our wealth and means of producing it.

I rarely go to the grocery store. I live alone and only eat home if I'm inviting dinner guests. The rare occasion I do go to the store like yesterday to grab a few items and snacks for my guests I'm just in a state of shock. I have no idea how families can possibly afford to eat. Ironically I own a restaurant so I know full well the rising food costs but to see it on literally every item in the store is certainly eye opening.

I am a crafter and in the last two weeks, have seen two major craft retailers cut their prices on Fall and Christmas decorating items first to 50% off, next 60% off and this week 75% off. That tells me they know people cannot afford what they are selling. Black Prissy tells us there is no inflation.

Cough medicine and allergy meds are incredibly high. Small bottles start at almost $10 and run to $40 something. I guess I'm lucky - they're not locked up yet.

Would Biden help Democrats by dropping out? 11 replies

In recent weeks, whispers among Democrats that President Biden should withdraw from the 2024 presidential race have grown louder amid mounting concerns over the president’s age and fitness. And yet, while everyone seems to be asking whether or not Biden should step aside, the real question is, would Democrats be better off if Biden did withdraw and allow a younger candidate to represent the party in the 2024 election? At this point, the short answer is that Democrats would be unlikely to benefit. To be sure, this is a sensitive topic for Democrats. Whether out of respect for Biden, or hoping to avoid being seen as ageist, party leaders have circled the

Get a load of — and a laugh from — the latest political advice coming from the White House. Concerned about President Biden’s age and habit of falling, aides want him to shorten the distance he walks in public and wear softer, more flexible shoes to help keep him upright. Not since the late campaign whiz David Garth told New York’s Ed Koch and other clients to wear more blue on television has political advice been so basic. And with good reason, for, as even the propaganda media realize, it’s “not a good look” when the leader of the free world repeatedly falls up the steps of Air Force One.

If Senate Democrats plan to subpoena conservative judicial activists as part of a Supreme Court ethics investigation, Republicans say they must go after liberal advocates the same way. Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Dick Durbin (D-IL) has sought to authorize subpoenas for influential conservative judicial activist Leonard Leo and GOP megadonor Harlan Crow, defending the subpoenas as necessary after the pair's “defensive, dismissive refusals” to cooperate with a congressional investigation. Now, Republicans have proposed more than 150 additional subpoenas to broaden an investigation they say is one-sided against conservative justices on the high court.

Over the weekend, Elon Musk said he plans to file a “thermonuclear lawsuit” against Media Matters for America, a left-wing propaganda shop whose sole reason for existing is to churn out deceptive, fake studies designed to pressure large firms to pull advertising from media outlets and platforms that don’t toe the leftist line. That’s precisely what Media Matters did last week when it released a bogus “report” alleging that X, formerly Twitter, runs ads for Apple, Bravo, IBM, Oracle, and Xfinity next to “pro-Nazi content.” Sure enough, after this report was published Thursday, Apple, IBM, and a bunch of other companies fell for the scam

The ongoing campaign by progressive activists to deny former President Trump a place on state ballots received yet another serious setback late Friday. After a weeklong bench trial, Denver District Court Judge Sarah Wallace issued a 102-page opinion in Anderson v. Griswold concluding that “Section Three of the Fourteenth Amendment does not apply to Trump.” She ordered Colorado’s Secretary of State Jena Griswold to place his name on Colorado’s presidential primary ballot. This is the fourth state in three weeks to reject efforts to keep Trump off their ballots.

The White House is dismissing the idea President Joe Biden undermined his own diplomacy with Chinese President Xi Jinping by defending his earlier description of him as a dictator. "The president comes away from the meeting yesterday feeling very good about the content of the discussions over the course of four hours and the progress that we were able to make on some very significant fronts," national security spokesman John Kirby told reporters Thursday.Kirby cited the resumption of military-to-military communication as one achievement, in addition to commitments to counter fentanyl production and exportation through law enforcement and to cooperate on artificial intelligence. It’s not exactly breaking news that Joe Biden is historically unpopular, which is why a lot of Democrats from Manhattan to Malibu and everywhere in between just want him to wave goodbye and go home. So it’s no big shock that the recent New York Times-Siena College poll has Donald Trump beating Biden in five of six key battleground states. Biden’s poll numbers are underwater for a whole bunch of reasons — inflation, the chaos on our southern border, crime, those lingering questions about the president’s frailty, both physical and mental. And then there’s Sen. Joe Manchin, who may join Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Cornel West and Jill Stein

The commentariat has made much of recent surveys showing Trump ahead of Biden in swing states that probably will decide the outcome of the 2024 presidential election. A Bloomberg/MorningConsult poll released Friday, for example, shows Trump with modest leads among registered voters in Arizona, Georgia, Nevada, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin. Emerson also released a survey on Friday indicating that Trump enjoys leads in the same states. The one that created the most buzz was a New York Times/Siena poll showing Trump ahead by even larger margins in Arizona (+5), Georgia (+6), Michigan (+5), Nevada (+10), and Pennsylvania (+4).

In 2005, Palestinian Arabs were given autonomy over the Gaza Strip for the first time in their history. To make it happen, the Israeli government forcibly removed thousands of Israelis from the area. Without military protection, Jews would be murdered by Palestinians, who prefer their land Judenfrei. As Jews were being evicted from their homes, some began to dismantle the farms and hothouses they’d built, reluctant to hand over years of hard work. In the name of peace, however, American Jewish donors purchased the 3,000 remaining greenhouses that stood over 1,000 acres for $14 million and gave it to the Palestinian Authority, gratis.

Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) said Monday to CBS News that Israel did not have a right “to kill 12,000 people in six, seven weeks” in response to the October 7 terror attack. Sanders said, “Well, this was how I respond. Look, Israel was attacked in an absolutely horrific way by Hamas, 1,300 innocent people were slaughtered. Israel has a right to defend itself, but what Israel does not have a right to do, in my view, is to kill 12,000 people in six, seven weeks, two-thirds of whom are women and children. That they don’t have right to do, that’s a violation of international law.”

Based on the current polls, we may very well have an immovable object meets an irresistible force scenario, except here it is two aging, past-their-prime retreads who, in any normal time, would have retired to enjoy the remaining sands of the hourglass but have decided to instead run again for president. Both have fatal flaws. Under the old rules, we knew the election outcome without a doubt. Trump can’t possibly win, and Biden is certain to lose. But someone has to win, and it will not be that RFK weirdo. This spectacle is not a done deal. Though he’s far ahead today, Trump can still lose the nomination. I
