In the first major escalation of the House Oversight Committee's investigation into Biden family corruption, Hunter Biden and James Biden have been subpoenaed along with Rob Walker, a former business associate of the president's son.Rep. James Comer first hinted at the move on Sunday, suggesting that a slate of subpoenas would be on the way. Several others, including James Biden's wife, have also been requested to come in for transcribed interviews. It seems unlikely most would comply voluntarily.(Snip)Negotiations will commence in short order to figure out exactly when those subpoenaed will have to appear. Send out the U.S. Marshals and haul their precious little tails to Congress. We all know they will say they don’t recall or plead the 5th but it would be satisfying to see them frog-marched.

Why waste the time. We all know the truth and we are certainly not going to get bit out of them. Also they are not going to be prosecuted so why bother?

#5, I, too, am frustrated by this whole debacle especially since we see President Trump sitting in a courtroom everyday fighting bogus charges that we all know are politically motivated while the Biden family gets a pass when the evidence is clear, they are guilty. This blatant act of injustice is one of the most frustrating and disturbing aspects of our present reality. It really triggers me because I abhor unfairness. The country is crying for justice and all we see is corrupt prosecutors and biased judges who are putting on a show for the democrat party. It is also an intimidation tactic to make sure we know our place and that they can at any time come for us. If we cannot get the DOJ cleaned out and back to the job of handing out real justice, it won’t matter who the President is. They will rule through lawfare and each one of us can at any moment be their victim.

In 2005, Palestinian Arabs were given autonomy over the Gaza Strip for the first time in their history. To make it happen, the Israeli government forcibly removed thousands of Israelis from the area. Without military protection, Jews would be murdered by Palestinians, who prefer their land Judenfrei. As Jews were being evicted from their homes, some began to dismantle the farms and hothouses they’d built, reluctant to hand over years of hard work. In the name of peace, however, American Jewish donors purchased the 3,000 remaining greenhouses that stood over 1,000 acres for $14 million and gave it to the Palestinian Authority, gratis.

Political motives lie not far beneath the surface of everything Congress does. That is appropriate in a democracy. But we expect the House, and especially the Senate, to retain at least some pretense of exercising its powers in the public interest. Instead, the Democrats on the Senate Judiciary Committee are abusing its investigatory powers simply to campaign against Leonard Leo and Harlan Crow. Dick Durbin, Sheldon Whitehouse, and their committee will reportedly vote within the next two weeks to subpoena Leo and Crow, as well as Robin Arkley II, who is targeted over a fishing trip with Justice Samuel Alito 15 years ago.

Paul has done an excellent job covering President Biden’s double-game of trotting out ostensibly pro-Israel positions for public consumption while privately moving to scuttle Israel and advance the interests of Hamas (and hence Iran). But tonight Joe, with the indiscipline that comes with his advanced age, and without a teleprompter to keep him on his (public) message, said it out loud. As reported by CBS: President Joe Biden said he thought there should be a humanitarian "pause" in the Israel-Hamas war, after his campaign speech Wednesday evening was interrupted by a protester calling for a cease-fire. "I think we need a pause," Biden said.

President Biden is facing growing concerns among independent voters as polling shows lackluster approval from a key group in deciding who wins the White House. A Gallup poll released last week shows Biden’s approval rating among independents fell 4 points in the past month to 35 percent. The report noted the president’s approval has been “generally weak” with that group since July 2021 — after he logged 61 percent approval from independents at the start of his term.“The independent vote just becomes more and more important in every cycle. And it can really make a margin,” said Democratic strategist Jon Reinish.

When Hamas terrorists released 85-year-old peace activist Yocheved Lifschitz for the fawning press to record on Monday, she was kind enough to give them another small propaganda win on her way back to Israel.Lifschitz and her husband, Oded, were taken hostage from the Nir Oz kibbutz by Hamas terrorists on motorcycles during the October 7 terror invasion of Israel. Their daughter Sharone told the Times of Israel, “They’re no longer the kind of people who can survive without medications… Mom was ripped out of her machine; she was sleeping.” Before the war, the Lifschitzes worked as peace activists, transporting sick Gazans to Israeli hospitals for treatment. Oded remains a hostage.

Last week, in this column, I argued, “What happens in Israel will not stay in Israel.” I went on to warn that “the next shoe to drop may be in Galveston rather than Gaza.” Is this warning a bit over the top, or is there a reason to take it seriously? Well, if Solomon was right when he said, “As a man thinketh, so he is,” let’s consider what the people who fancy themselves the moral conscience of America and the West actually think and say. Here’s a short summary. “White people are a genetic defect of blackness. Whiteness is not humanness. In fact, white skin is sub-human.

Late Friday, the Supreme Court agreed to hear Missouri v. Biden, a case that may end the Biden administration’s circumvention of the First Amendment by outsourcing censorship to Big Tech. The case was initially filed by the states of Missouri and Louisiana, along with various private plaintiffs who allege that social media platforms censored them at the behest of federal agencies. U.S. District Judge Terry Doughty ruled for the plaintiffs on July 4, enjoining the agencies from communicating with platforms about “content moderation.” The Biden administration sought relief from the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals and lost again, making a Supreme Court clash inevitable.

Who needs a ground invasion? Last weekend, the Israelis gave Gazans 24 hours to evacuate the northern end of Gaza, signaling that infantry and armor would soon roll through Gaza City. Joe Biden then dropped in for a visit, which some thought could have accounted for the delay in ground operations.Biden has come and gone, though, but the Israeli ground invasion has yet to launch. Meanwhile, the IDF keeps finding success in their current posture. Just ask the Palestinians: The Commander of the Hamas-led National Security Forces in Gaza Jehad Mheisen was killed by an Israeli airstrike, according to Palestinian reports on Thursday. Honest Reporting broke a bombshell today: Gaza-based photographers who work for the Associated Press and Reuters were on the scene of the October 7 massacre in Israel very early in the morning, ready to capture the moment when Hamas fighters raped, kidnapped, tortured, and slaughtered almost 1,500 Israeli civilians. Maybe they heard about what happened and decided it was newsworthy, so they hustled on over. Or maybe Reuters and the AP are paying money to people who knew that civilians were about to be massacred and either thought, “Yay” or “What a great opportunity to collect a paycheck.” Here's what Honest Reporting had to say: On October 7, Hamas terrorists

Israel has agreed to put in place four-hour daily humanitarian pauses in its assault on Hamas in northern Gaza starting on Thursday, the White House said, as President Joe Biden pressed Israelis for a multi-day stoppage in the fighting in a bid to release hostages held by the militant group. Biden said Thursday that there was “no possibility” of a formal cease-fire at the moment, but he also expressed frustration that it had taken so long for Israel to agree to the humanitarian pauses. Biden had asked Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to institute the daily pauses during a Monday call and said he had also asked the

It's no secret that many younger members of the Biden administration are not happy with the president's policy of demonstrating strong support for Israel. Now, there's a growing revolt in the White House as many junior aides are griping about the pro-Israel bias of the president. “It has created great moral anxiety,” said one senior administration official. “But no one can say it because we all work at the pleasure of the president and he’s all in.”

After Ohio voters on Tuesday approved a constitutional amendment protecting the right to abortion and other forms of reproductive health care, advocates on both sides of the issue are looking at how they can get support on 2024 ballots in at least a dozen states. Since the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, the 1973 decision that had protected abortion rights nationally, voters in all seven states that held a statewide vote have backed access. That includes Ohio, where voters Tuesday enshrined abortion access in the state constitution.

Hillary Clinton trotted out perhaps the most played-out and predictable smear of all time for her longtime rival, Teflon Don. Via The Hill (emphasis added): Former first lady and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said the wreckage from another Trump presidency would be “almost unimaginable” and likened the former president who beat her in the 2016 election to Adolf Hitler. In an interview on ABC’s “The View,” Clinton said when she was secretary of State, she saw people who would “get legitimately elected” and then would try “to do away with elections and do away with opposition.” “You could see it in countries where, well, Hitler was duly elected, right?”
