Squatters have taken over a Wyoming city after some left millions of dollars worth of damage to a motel and others left 500lbs of feces in the downtown area.
Casper, the second-largest city in the state, is home to 60,000 residents but now also has about 200 homeless people.
Some have seized various properties that are empty or abandoned, including an abandoned Econo Lodge motel that hasn't operated since November. Casper Mayor Bruce Knell described the extent of destruction as akin to 'third-world-country stuff'.

Considering that marijuana use has been proven to increase the rate of psychosis by 4 to 5 times I would say this is going to happen everywhere.

Not a surprise. This country has GOT to establish some laws to stop squatting! Here in Ct. people come back from a 2 week vacation to find someone with a false lease or mortgage living in their home, and it takes a year in court to evict them (Cops can't as it is a civil matter that has to go through the Courts), at which point the home is destroyed and a suit is a joke because they have no $ or fixed address---unless you count the next house they squat in. NO VIABLE LAWS RE THIS ISSUE.......and especially in Ct.

I don’t understand why 200 people in a town of 60,000 are allowed to take over an entire building. (I also doubt an EconoLodge has 300 rooms)
We need to have Barney Fifes philosophy: Nip it in the bud. You gotta nip it!

Two hundred homeless is only a small percentage of the unknown tens of thousands of drug addicts and parasitic people that inhabit our cities with minimal resistance. Existing liberal laws severely punish the resistance, not the squatters. Just wait until the six million or more illegal aliens join the crowd.

Similar rabble will be coming to your town shortly! The Biden and leftist Democrat supported so-called non-governmental organizations who are connected to both homeless and migrant (illegal alien) communities will ensure your town is transitioned soon.

A bull horn with a 30 minute warning… And then loose the water cannons. That will clear the street and clean the street! Problem solved!

OK who was in charge of weighing the 500 lbs. of feces.?
Is that an elective or appointed office.?
But no joke people, this mess was brought on by allowing it to start. They did away with vagrancy laws , and they did away with moving the first squatters and arresting them and now it's snowballed. It's going to be a disaster when they start removing them, the liberal will be crying about the way they are treated and crying about they have nowhere to go, liberals created this mess and liberals will interfere with the solution of it.
My idea to cure it would be to build internment camps for them just like they did the Japanese and \Germen and Italians during WW2.
Remove them and place them in the camps, Guard them with the Army just like they did the WW2 internment people.
Find them the jobs that the illegals are alleged to be getting and let them out after they go to work. There are plenty of jobs in America, IMO the people in these camps do not want to work and they show their character by the filth they live in. Forced rehab of drug addicts in these camps to get them off the Fentany, and Trank, and shoot on sight anyone caught bringing drugs into the internment camp. Certainly it would be a stretch to the constitution, but the Constitution has been stretched before and is stretched right now with the J-6 prisoners.

Funny how these homeless always seem to find the money to migrate from one place to another. Thousands found their way to California which raises the question where did they all come from? Were they homeless someplace else, and they all decided to go to San Fran and L.A. to be homeless, and where did they get the money from to make such a trip? If what were told that they spend all their money on drugs and alcohol, how did they afford all those RV's and tents they live in?

Arrest their @$$es, make them into a chain gang to go around and clean up the mess they created. After that's done, let them "squat" at the WY State Pen.

At one time I lived in a very small town in Oregon. Whenever a vagrant would surface, the Sheriff would be there with a bus ticket. Problem solved.

It's your city, Mayor Bruce Knell. What are you doing about it except weighing the human manure? Should that be fertilizing a Rose Garden somewhere?

Notice the two comments at the end of the article from the Leftists from Salt Lake and Boston who want to blame the conservative state policies rather than the Biden Admin policies that create most homelessness we are facing today. What this article shows is just how bad Biden's policies are, even for small population states.

Living in Ramona, California, years ago Father X from a downtown San Diego mission was purposefully bussing homeless individuals into Ramona to make it appear that there was a homeless problem in Ramona. Our opinion was that Father X was trying to get more money from some source to carry on his ministry to help homeless folks. What a crock. Before Father X entered the scene we had 1 homeless person for sure and possibly 1 part-time homeless person. They were agoraphobic and they were helped by locals...and they got SS benefits.
