Go woke, go broke. That's what conservatives say, and unfortunately, sometimes it's just rhetoric that doesn't materialize. Still, there are times when the adage proves true. Enter Dick's Sporting Goods, the woke outdoor company that has prided itself on inserting itself into various cultural battles. As RedState reported, shareholders were greeted with bad news recently when it was revealed that Dick's saw a 23 percent drop in profit over the last quarter. That sent the company into a freefall. On August 21st, the stock price was $141. Two days later, it was at $108

One wonders, how many large chains in the sporting goods market that sell firearms have mass shoplifting issues? And how many woke companies in the same market that closed their firearms sells are suffering from uncontrollable shoplifting?

I have no sympathy for woke Dick's. What's sad is some people may lose their jobs through no fault of their own, stockholders will lose their investment, and the idiots in suits who make these decisions will get promoted or float off on golden parachutes.

The Government intends to seek the return of an indictment in this case before that date,” prosecutors wrote in the filing. Hunter Biden's lawyer didn't immediately return a request for comment.

Pakistan's caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar said terror groups in the country are now using American equipment, including night vision goggles and firearms, in their operations. One group, known as the Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), has increased attacks on government forces in recent months. The U.S. abandoned approximately $7 billion worth of military equipment in Afghanistan following President Biden's withdrawal from the country in 2021.

Judge Lewis Kaplan, as part of that ruling, said the upcoming trial for Carroll's lawsuit against Trump will only deal with the question of how much the former president should pay her in monetary damages for defaming her. The first weeks after a sperm fertilises an egg is a period of dramatic change - from a collection of indistinct cells to something that eventually becomes recognisable on a baby scan.
