Six California college professors are suing the state over diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility (DEIA) requirements they say force them to take the government’s view on “politically charged” topics. (snip) “I’m a professor of chemistry. How am I supposed to incorporate DEI into my classroom instruction?” said Reedley College professor Bill Blanken. “What’s the ‘anti-racist’ perspective on the atomic mass of boron?” The lawsuit says that Blanken does not believe that DEIA principles should be incorporated into his chemistry classes, saying he believes that it would be “pedagogically unsound and disruptive” to do so.

America’s largest teachers union “coached” teachers on how to expose students to gender identity in the curriculum, according to a new report.
The American Federation of Teachers (AFT) “coached its members on how to inject gender identity politics into classroom teaching,” said the report published Wednesday by the conservative Defense of Freedom Institute. (snip) The AFT along with the nation’s second largest union, the National Education Association (NEA), are both wholly committed to pushing radical gender ideology in schools, the report says.
Together, the two largest teachers unions represent nearly five million public school teachers across the country.
Calls are being made for Florida’s inspector general to investigate Disney World’s former special district board after allegations arose that members used millions in taxpayer funds for season passes and other perks, the New York Post reported.
The Central Florida Tourism Oversight District revealed to the inspector general Monday that members of the board that used to oversee Walt Disney World’s Reedy Creek Improvement District (RCID) allegedly spent more than $2 million in taxpayer funds last fiscal year on employee perks, the New York Post reported.
Among the perks that members and employees reportedly enjoyed were tickets amounting to $492,382.96, as well as discounts on hotel stays, merchandise, and food and beverages.

David Hand, the son of the director for Disney’s original 1937 animated classic Snow White, has come out against the remake starring actress Rachel Zegler, calling it an “insulting” blight on the film his father helped conceive.

Hawaiian Electric, the utility company whose power line reportedly played a role in the Hawaiian fires, appears to have focused on green energy development while neglecting to adhere to its own assessment that it needed to increase the safety of its existing infrastructure, The Wall Street Journal reported Wednesday.
