Dozens of Iranian drones and speedboats swarming two US Navy ships near the Persian Gulf after Washington sent them in to deal with Iran's renewed threat against one of the world's most important waterways, dramatic new footage has revealed.
Iran's navy sent the small vessels to confront the USS Bataan and the USS Carter Hall in the fraught Strait of Hormuz, which sits between the Persian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman, according to a video published on Saturday.
The speedboats were manned with armed soldiers from Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and came within inches of the ships, while drones also taunted the ships and

Not a threat. They were just going out to say thank you to Biden for giving Iran $6 billion to help fund their nuclear program.

Well, at least they didn’t surrender like they did during the 0bama reign of error. I don’t seem to remember this happening when Trump was in charge. My only question is why our guys didn’t sink the speedboats and take out the drones.

Maybe the Iranians were after the "equitable" silverware and tablecloths plus rainbow colored light bulbs.

Shoot them.
Hunt them from the waterways, then destroy their bases and fuel depots. Exterminate them.
Dox them with Hellfire missiles. Make them fear to whisper the name, "America", because we might come back for them.

I hope some sailors mooned the Iranians and their little put-putts & toy drones. Hey Iran, remember Operation Praying Mantis, when we sank all your frigates and blew up two oil rig platforms your navy was using to coordinate attacks on oil tankers?

Why are we even there? Haven’t we got enough on our plate? Let somebody else be there for target practice, I say.

They should redirect the ship's sewage systems into trash bags...and then drop them on those little motorboats.
They could even have plop cannons for close in work like this. That would be good for a laugh.

You would think that after the attack on the USS Cole they would of been blown out of the water. Dumb commanders & dumb administration.

It seems the admirals that were always running into each other in the western pacific have been transferred to the middle east. They dont seem to understand what the seawhiz is for.

Two amphibious ships with thousands of troops embarked are sent into the Straits of Hormuz without warship escorts? Who plans these stupid stunts? Oh, wait. FJB's Department of Non-Defense headed by inept Austin and boot licking Milley. Pray for our unprotected troops!

The International Law of the Sea plainly states that if the vessel of one country points and armed weapon at the vessel of another country, it is considered and act of war. Anyone miss Trump yet?

The navy has to wait until the the Iranians fire first. Otherwise, the US would be accused of starting a war with Iran, which is the reason for the Iranian harassment.

I'm sure Admiral Lisa Franchetti will sit down with them over tea and work it all out. In my Navy days we would have used them all for target practice and let one escape to tell the rest what happened.

This is a BFD. The presence of the drones is an absolute hazard to any turbine powered aircraft. The prop blades may be able to handle a drone strike, but ingesting one into a jet turbine engine, especially a drone that is hardened to do maximum damage, is fatal. The Chinese are watching to see how the U.S. responds. According to knowledgable sources, we have no response. We are too busy cucking the Ukraine.
