Last month, two conservative groups made court filings to oppose Florida’s anti-woke law: The Academic Freedom Alliance (“AFA”) joined the Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression (“FIRE”) challenging the statute’s constitutionality.
The Florida law bans promotion of divisive concepts, based on race or sex, in the educational setting. Its language is similar to President Trump’s Executive Order 13950 which applied to the federal workforce but was withdrawn when Biden took office.
Challengers claim that the Florida law chills the free speech rights of professors and therefore violates both the First Amendment and what is called “academic freedom,”

The identity of the anonymous IRS whistleblower alleging political misconduct throughout the Hunter Biden investigation was revealed on Wednesday as special agent Joseph Ziegler — a gay Democrat with more than a dozen years serving within the agency’s criminal investigative division.
Ziegler appeared for the first time publicly before the House Oversight Committee on Wednesday, alongside his IRS supervisor Gary Shapley, who also has blown the whistle on political influence surrounding prosecutorial decisions throughout the years-long federal probe into the president's son.

NEW YORK (AP) — New York City has agreed to pay more than $13 million to settle a civil rights lawsuit brought on behalf of roughly 1,300 people who were arrested or beaten by police during racial injustice demonstrations that swept through the city during the summer of 2020.
If approved by a judge, the settlement, which was filed in Manhattan federal court Wednesday, would be among the most expensive payouts ever awarded in a lawsuit over mass arrests, experts said.

Washington officials are doubling down on their stonewalling as Congress demands an update on the status of President Biden’s Iran envoy, Robert Malley. Press queries are systematically being rebuffed and in lieu of hard information, details-starved onlookers are turning to an unexpected source, the Tehran Times, a mouthpiece of the Iranian regime.
Is the website’s Sunday “exclusive” on what “doomed Robert Malley” really based on an unidentified Washington official’s briefing, as the Tehran Times claims, or is it a figment of the pro-Tehran publication’s imagination? Answers are unclear. Yet, the site’s second scoop in a week, which cites “a source at the U.S. State Department,

Fox News published its promotional video of its rehashed primetime lineup earlier Monday, marking a new era for the broadcasting giant following the controversial firing of Tucker Carlson.
The new lineup debuts tonight, Monday, at 7 pm, with a new slogan that aims to take a veiled jab at Carlson, declaring they’ve found “The Right Voices at the Right Time.” A move that appears to imply Carlson was not the “right voice” for their platform.

new online marketplace that promotes itself as a conservative and patriotic alternative to Amazon is preparing to ring the bell on the New York Stock Exchange and take the company public.
According to the Daily Mail, the San Diego-based PublicSq, which first launched in August of 2022, has already drawn the support of prominent America First figures such as Donald Trump Jr. and former Arizona Senate nominee Blake Masters. The company plans to attract more investors by highlighting its status within the so-called “parallel economy” of conservative alternatives to larger, left-wing businesses, according to excerpts from an investor call on Tuesday.

President Trump spoke at the Turning Point Action Conference on Saturday night in West Palm Beach, Florida.
Tucker Carlson delivered remarks as keynote speaker shortly before Trump took the stage Saturday night.
The crowd went wild as soon as Tucker took the stage. He called out cancel culture, mocked the Biden Regime, and savaged Mike Pence.
Tucker dropped this truth bomb and the crowd cheered:
“No one is punished for lying. People are only punished for telling the truth,” Tucker said to cheers.

In the classic good cop-bad cop scenario, two officers working together take different paths to reach the same goal: to get the suspect to confess.
Americans witnessed a version of that scenario last week, although with crucial distinctions.Major law-enforcement events showcased the real-world difference between actual good cops and actual bad cops.
The good cops made an arrest in the cold-case murders of three young women on Long Island.

Cornell West bashed President Joe Biden's history of supporting the 90s crime bill.
AP
Likely Green Party presidential candidate Cornel West ripped President Biden’s record on race issues, calling the Democrat’s history with black Americans nothing short of a “crime against humanity,” in an exclusive interview with The Post.
West, 70, accused Biden of spurring mass incarceration among minorities because of the tough-on-crime federal Violent Crime Control and Law Enforcement Act Biden sponsored as a senator in 1994. The bill authorized the hiring of 100,000 new police officers and allocated $9.7 billion for prisons.

Less young people are identifying as Democrats and this has some Biden supporters worried that they won’t show up to vote for him in 2024.
These young voters are not becoming Republicans, they are becoming independents. Far left, progressive independents.
The Democrat party has been headed for this split for a decade or more. The Bernie/AOC wing of the party does not identify with the establishment wing.

In a massive breach of two dozen organizations, Chinese hackers managed to gain access to the confidential emails of at least two senior officials in the Biden Administration.
As previously reported, Microsoft had announced that a Chinese hacking group called Storm-0558 had been behind the breach of 25 different companies and government agencies.
Now, additional reporting from the Washington Free Beacon reveals that the affected government agencies included the State Department and the Commerce Department, with the accounts of several top State Department officials, as well as Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo, being compromised.
